  1. Thank goodness my watch does not update on it's own 😃
  2. Probably if you write on the menu "espresso" your butler will see you get it
  3. Did you request scent free toiletries? If not did they exchange them for you ?
  4. Do people not wear watches anymore or it that not high tech enough for some??
  5. I usually look at the temps from last year for the same time frame it is a good indication of what it may be this year but of course it could go either way Layers is the key You can just change the ports you are sailing from/to https://www.accuweather.com/en/ca/montreal/h3a/september-weather/56186?year=2022
  6. We have done in the past but it was in European ports
  7. Well you cannot stop people from bringing their children 🙄 Maybe you will have to stick with Viking or Virgin
  8. cancel on day 181 from sailing no problem
  9. maybe the shorter sailings have more leeway Or maybe who wrote up the rules was not paying attention to details
  10. Compare the prices/options on getting to Vancouver then decide Rent a car /parking for the length of the cruise Take the bust from Seattle to Vancouver How much of your time is it worth to do all the extra travelling For me I would fly to YVR or find a cruise out of Seattle JMO
  11. I agree Maybe check with your TA or Oceania I am passed that point it will be a bigger chunk of change if we have to cancel
  12. Always carry snack bars or stop at a local eatery 😃 Enjoy the cruise
  13. Might just be too early This year they have the Molino & the St Regis Prices are PP so take that into account You probably can do better on your own JMO
  14. Check the website for you sailing & under the HOTEL tab it shows what hotels they use pre & post cruise It may be too early to see the hotels but you can check cruise this year for Venice to see what ones they use I believe it is usually the Molino Stucky They usually have a transfer to the airport so you could book your own hotel in Venice proper & take a water taxi or the land but from the airport
  15. I posted this in another thread but it may need it's own thread Just noticed they have changed some of the cancellation penalties as of April 2023 note the part I highlighted in red for less that 15 day cruises Also the time limit has changed Time to re read the new fine print 😲 https://oceaniacruises.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360005306234-What-is-your-cancellation-and-refund-policy- The following cancellation charges will be assessed for all written cancellations received up to the scheduled time of departure. Cruises of less than 15 days: DAYS PRIOR TO CRUISE SAIL DATE - CANCELLATION AMOUNT 180-91 Days Prior - 10% of Fare - $250 Admin Fee pp 90-76 Days Prior - 25% of Fare 75-61 Days Prior - 50% of Fare 60-31 Days Prior - 75% of Fare 30-0 Days Prior - 100% of Fare Cruises 15 days or more except 180-Day Voyages: DAYS PRIOR TO CRUISE SAIL DATE - CANCELLATION AMOUNT 151-180 Days Prior - $250 per guest administrative fee+ 121-150 Days Prior - 25% of Fare 91-120 Days Prior - 50% of Fare 61-90 Days Prior - 75% of Fare 0-60 Days Prior - 100% of Fare
  16. Maybe they have reservations because the space is small ?? How many seats are in Ember can you imagine if it was like your local diner & if people want a sit down meal after tours it may be lined up down the hall or maybe not ?? I will reserve judgement until I try it but so far it looks good to me We do not go to Jacques or Red Ginger so does not leave many options for us polo & Toscana are the same old same old looking forward to trying Ember YMMV
  17. The admin fee has not been available to transfer to new booking for a while Also just noticed they have changed some of the cancellation penalties as of April 2023 https://oceaniacruises.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360005306234-What-is-your-cancellation-and-refund-policy- The following cancellation charges will be assessed for all written cancellations received up to the scheduled time of departure. 18. Just about any wine by the glass on the menu is in both drink packages There are bar menus posted in this thread https://boards.cruisecritic.com/topic/2904150-riviera-new-bar-drinks-menus-and-prices/ Subject to availability of course
  19. you can buy "bottle bags" they are padded I take 2 with me incase we find something we cannot get at home
  20. It was 3 days prior & 3 days post cruise unless that has changed again In any case the poster has cancelled the air so moot point of the whys
  21. I thought they were allowing people to fly in up to 3 days prior with no charge ? unless you want to choose the flights But yes I agree not enough info
  22. If you have a GTY you will be on the ship someplace If all PH sellout they will make offers to pax to move off the sailing They may offer upsells to the suites or downsells if lower categories are still open If people are going to cancel they should do it a month before final payment so they do not lose their deposit (not everyone reads the fine print ) You do not need to take the new perk that is coming July 1st unless you want to JMO
  23. Ok I must be missing something 🤔
  24. Can you clarify the extra charge ?? Did you book hotel package with O or is it something else ? What is your airport you would fly from?
