Maho Beach is the airport beach. Recently refurbished following the last big storm. Sunset bar with yellow awning at end chairs and umbrellas buckets of beer. It’s a cool experience. The water is quite nice. We just grab a cab to and from. Board near bar states plane arrivals.
We have done the water taxi to beach across bay from ships. Lots of shopping of beach. Buckets of beer for me while the wife shops.
We have been over to the French side. Nude sunbathing.
Tripadvisor is great with current information.
If you are looking for a great deal for his/her purchase many jewelry stores offering 2 movado watches. Starting at $300 for a pair. The Museum Watch.
Can you tell me the cost of a taxi and if you get the taxi right of the ship or do you use the water taxi to get to town first? Also, what is the cost of chairs on the beach?

I am looking at insurance policies through insuremytrip.com
I seem to be leaning toward a policy offered by Nationwide.
Does anyone have experience with Nationwide? Would you use them again?
My main focus is on medical coverage. Does anyone a range for the cost of medical evacuation while on a Caribbean cruise?
Thanks
I've submitted claims twice with Nationwide, no issues.

I would love this room.

I've recently changed my booking to include all of the perks. I'm wondering if it is possible to upgrade the free 250 minutes of wifi to the social media package for the price difference?
TIA,
Robin

I'm booked on this cruise, so far at 73 days out, there have been no offers to bid on upgrades. Also, at this time shows are not available to book on line.
Patiently waiting for both,

Has anyone on the 1/6/19 sailing of the escape out of NYC gotten an offer from NCL. Less than 80 days out and nothing yet. Kinda surprised as it is not sold out.
We are booked on the breakaway, also Jan 6. We've We've not yet been able to bid on upgrades or book shows.

Early bird check in is the way to go. I use it all the time $15 for an A boarding position is worthwhile in my book. Especially on the way back home.
Agree, this is what I'll do.
-
Yeah, I think I might do that. We've booked our travel as one way trips, so we can do this for just the return. $30 is cheap to take the concern away.$15 for early bird will auto check you in and get you a good boarding position.Sent from my iPad using Forums

We won't have an internet package on our upcoming cruise, but would like to be able to check in for my Southwest flight at the 24 hours before mark. Do I have any options? Would taking my phone out of airplane mode for a few minutes be that bad?
TIA,
Robin

Does NCL have the service of checking your luggage on the ship, they get it to the airport and you claim it at your home airport? If so, is Southwest included and FLL?
TIA,
Robin

We like to spend a day or two in Daytona Beach. We always rent bikes and ride right on the beach. It's about 3 1/2 hours to Miami. We head south early in the morning, day of cruise.

If a cruise needed to be cancelled after final payment, are the taxes/port charges along with drink package gratuities refunded?
I'm looking to purchase my travel insurance, and need to know if I need to include those charges in my total trip cost or just the cruise fare?
TIA

Yes, we walked thru the hotel, into the mall and to the cruise terminal. If I remember correctly, we never had to step outside.

Looking to rent a car when we get off the ship in Miami, what area should I search, the airport? Or is there something closer to the port?
-
We've rented a car that we're returning at Port Everglades. Is it convenient to drop off luggage first then return the car?

Do I have this correct (port everglades)
in Florida Departures

Long story short, we are starting our vacation in Orlando. We are in need of renting a car in Orlando and returning in Ft Lauderdale, preferably at the port. I understand Alamo (Eller Dr) is the one closest to the port (I'm thinking I've dropped off there before) but I'm also looking for options. Budget on 17th street and Avis {code qf1} also offers a cruise port shuttle? Are any other companies just as convenient?
After our cruise, we have a rental booked using Enterprise, at the airport. I can't find a cruise port location, that is open. I also feel that the airport location for pick up is a good choice as the rental car locations at/near the port are kind of crazy for pick ups? We are a group of 7, what is the best option for getting to the port? I understand there are no longer rental agency shuttles to the airport? What can we expect to spend to get to the airport using a taxi vs uber/lyft?
Thank you so much for your patience and time.
Robin
