  1. Long story short, we are starting our vacation in Orlando.  We are in need of renting a car in Orlando and returning in Ft Lauderdale, preferably at the port.  I understand Alamo (Eller Dr)  is the one closest to the port (I'm thinking I've dropped off there before) but I'm also looking for options.  Budget on 17th street and Avis {code qf1} also offers a cruise port shuttle? Are any other companies just as convenient?

After our cruise, we have a rental booked using Enterprise, at the airport.  I can't find a cruise port location, that is open.  I also feel that the airport location for pick up is a good choice as the rental car locations at/near the port are kind of crazy for pick ups?  We are a group of 7, what is the best option for getting to the port?  I understand there are no longer rental agency shuttles to the airport? What can we expect to spend to get to the airport using a taxi vs uber/lyft?

Thank you so much for your patience and time.

Maho Beach is the airport beach. Recently refurbished following the last big storm. Sunset bar with yellow awning at end chairs and umbrellas buckets of beer. It’s a cool experience. The water is quite nice. We just grab a cab to and from. Board near bar states plane arrivals.

We have done the water taxi to beach across bay from ships. Lots of shopping of beach. Buckets of beer for me while the wife shops.

We have been over to the French side. Nude sunbathing.

Tripadvisor is great with current information.

If you are looking for a great deal for his/her purchase many jewelry stores offering 2 movado watches. Starting at $300 for a pair. The Museum Watch.

Can you tell me the cost of a taxi and if you get the taxi right of the ship or do you use the water taxi to get to town first?  Also,  what is the cost of chairs on the beach?

I am looking at insurance policies through insuremytrip.com

I seem to be leaning toward a policy offered by Nationwide.

Does anyone have experience with Nationwide?  Would you use them again?

My main focus is on medical coverage.  Does anyone a range for the cost of medical evacuation while on a Caribbean cruise?

    Thanks

I've submitted claims twice with Nationwide, no issues.
