A lot of what I've been reading is upselling from balacony to haven cabins. What about bottom of the ship to something more central? We have a porthole cabin, which is really fine for us, but you know how it is... a small part of you wants something grander....

So, please tell me, anyone have any luck upselling on smaller ships (sailing Dawn) to even just a better location?

We'll be arriving NOLA sometime between noon and 2:30 for a 4:00 sail away. Unavoidable drive from Memphis. Anyone have info on traffic flow noon or after near the port. We're using Fulton garage and wonder best approach to avoid as much traffic as possible. Will also be Thanksgiving Sun.

Dont you have to be on board 2 hours before sailing? I'd do all I can to get to the port as close to the noon end of your goal as possible.

Bummed to hear that! Going on the Dawn next month and was unsure on whether buying the Spa pass would be worth it.

 

It seems the spa pass is cheaper on Dawn than other newer NCL ships. And if both the kids and regular pool will be crowded, maybe the indoor spa one will be a nice alternative? Any input you guys have is appreciated!

Because it may or may not be swimming weather and because there is not an adults only area, I've purchased spa passes for our Dawn sailing, late December.

How do i know which dock we will be at, new or old? We are sailing on Norwegian Dawn, if that matters.

NCL rolled out a test campaign on 2 ships the getaway and escape only. They sent out emails to see if you would like to bid on an upgraded room. If this process works and NCL is able to generate more monies then I believe they will roll it out fleet wide. However on all other NCL ships old policy still applies will send out up sell emails to a few but you can also call the up sell dept. And see if you can upgrade

I've seen many posts talking about receiving emails with upgrade offers. But I'm pretty sure that all of those are for the larger, newer ships. Has anyone gotten an email offer to upgrade on the smaller ships?

Looking to book this zip line and beach break tour, looking for thoughts/opinions of others that may have also done this tour. Did the beach break include chairs? How long were you at the beach?

We plan to drive to NO, we have a reservation at Hilton Riverside. What are our parking options during our hotel stay? If possible, we'd like to park at a location that gives us the flexibility to use our car during those two days, if we choose to.

I'm pretty sure we plan to use Fulton Garage during our cruise and know that we could also park there during our hotel stay, but once its parked, it's parked, right?

I just did it upsold to a haven aft balcony for $500 pp for the 10/22 Escape sailing! Hope I wont regret it on deck 9. Anyone stayed in haven on this deck before?

Did your original booking include ubp? Dining package? If so, were those service charges refunded to you [i understand they are included with the haven]? Does your upsell include gratuities?

If all that I'm thinking is included, I think you got an amazing deal.

On the Escape a few weeks ago, the major production shoes were at 7 and 10. I just booked my dining for my December 30 cruise for 8:00, with the intention of seeing the later show.

Have you checked the entertainment link? If your shows are listed, (mine are not yet) you could coordinate better.

I'm noticing a weird trend in reviews on the Ship Mate app, people claiming kids are hanging out in Spice H20 now on Escape / in the grotto, and the crew members (naturally) don't want to get involved. Is this a thing now? I'm surprised I haven't seen it mentioned here if it's happening, so I'm a little skeptical. I was looking forward to checking out the grotto.

 

I don't mean to start another "kids" debate, but unlike Haven I understood H20 to be 18+.

I saw a bar staff member tell a family that it is adults only. Also on the 9/3 sailing.
