  1. So sorry to hear that you have decided to sell. I have found the planning application and I still do not think that it could possibly get passed, but if it does through some sort of backhanded way(?), you have made the right decision. Good luck!
  2. Really?? I can't see how it could possibly get passed, surely the council would need to look at the parking situation. Its not just a house having an extension, its a business in a residential area. I'm going to get on my soap box in a minute.
  3. Oh Josy I really feel for you. Its not just the fact re privacy etc its all the increase in traffic, staff cars, ambulances, doctors, hairdressers plus visitors. Is it in the same cul de sac or on a different road with plenty of parking?
  4. Northern lights to be visible again tonight anytime after 10:30 😁
  5. There are some free apps on Google where you can take a photo of the plant and they will identify it for you.
  6. Oh Avril butter would'nt melt, this one was stealing the tea towel and playing catch me if you can!
  7. Couldn't resist posting this pic, hope it makes you smile. Cheddar is practising her Dobby ears and looking rather guilty about something?
  8. Fantastic choice you'll love it. Just be prepared for the DJ but then again you might like his music!😁
  9. Snap! Now its just a waiting game 😁
  10. Don't think he was upstairs on our cruise, if he was we didn't hear him. It felt like being back in the 90's at a rave when he was on in the sunset bar, it didn't put us off, the accommodation far outweighed the music.
  11. Not a problem it all depends on time of day and direction you are travelling in, you can always move around to the side or shuffle the loungers/chairs around.
  12. We stayed in 15735 on Arvia last year they are fantastic. We had no problems with noise from above our only gripe was the DJ in the bar below but he was based on starboard side not port. I'm sure you will enjoy, have a great time.
  13. Don't get me wrong we have had some excellent butlers who have gone above and beyond and I hope that last years experience was just a fluke. Wishing you all a fantastic cruise on a beautiful ship...enjoy 😁
  14. If he's anything like the one we had on Arvia last year he will do as little as possible. In the past our butler has been more than happy to book reservations in the MDR or speciality restaurants for us as well as arranging with the manager so that our daughter (not in the suite) could dine with us for breakfast. Last year he said he was unable to do any of that and it had to be done on the app. Totally useless, unless we were just unlucky.
  15. Yes quite but I just wonder if it would have made a decision on the preferred operator, just IMO, I feare a lot of insurance claims coming on.
  16. So am I, also for the poor driver. What an awful situation to be in. We have travelled with Eavesway countless times and never had any problems, I wonder if it had been Intercruises the ship would have waited longer. Aurora was going on a 16 night Northern Lights cruise, such a shame.
  17. Do we know which company it was, Intercruises or Eavesway?
  18. Absolutely love Perranporth, we usually stay on Perran Sands which is ideally placed for everything. Have you visited Healeys Cider Farm? Best cream teas anywhere.
  19. Good morning everyone here is a message for anyone who comes under Stoke City Council. You can now register to have your garden waste collected all year round at a cost of £40. Not bad really when you look at other parts of the country.
  20. Pete I echo every word. When my mum developed dementia we did not have POA and had to go through the Court of Protection. This turned out to be very very expensive, so anyone reading this with elderly parents please apply for power of attorney.
  21. Sounds good, give them a go and let us know how you get on. Make sure they are really thin though.
  22. Oh wow thats my Hole in the Wall! Glenn never did get his new build and the old shop was demolished to make way for new houses, such a shame. Thank you Presto2, brings back a lot of memories.
  23. Here you go a good old Staffordshire oatcake with bacon and cheese......mmmm
