  1. It costs them nothing if not used and most shareholders qualify.
  2. The world may end yesterday, but the odds are slim and none. Rates available to all will always be included, just as they are for price matching
  3. This is true whether on Carnival or Celebrity.
  4. Why? Entitled people don't pay attention to what is written anyway.

  7. No doubt some would vote for Smithfield Packing company to run the corporation. That would be very shortsighted.
  8. Before a major war, high oil prices, supply chain issues, locusts and other plagues.
  9. Carnival doesn't refer to staff as third world. They don't hire directly, but go through various staffing agencies in many countries and regions without need to classify the employee.
  10. Twice as I recall. I was on the middle leg of the first one. Splendor has also been through the new locks - I was on one of those. 3 segments. People were ending up with $750 shareholder OBC for a b2b2b!
  11. Carnival has already proven that if they set cabin prices low enough, people cruise, regardless.
  12. Are you a red or blue card? Well over a million Platinum cruisers and numerous Diamonds. No lack of priority people on Journey cruises. Carnival obviously is getting sufficient return customers.
  13. No marketing program is sustainable without change and very naive to think otherwise. Carnival even puts in black and white. It is not Carnival's responsibility to notify members of changes, it is the responsibility of the member to keep up. 14. Gamblers are fickle and follow the wind. I can't imagine novice cruisers paying significantly more for a cruise approving of the entitlements.
  15. The free cruises were a quick way to get on board spend a shot of adrenaline, but the novelty has worn off. Time to move to a different promotion with a different, and more grateful, target.
  16. If they stopped giving away cruises they could afford more bacon.
  17. Because as cruisers mature in various ways, they are no longer in Carnival's target market. What appeals to the target market changes as society changes and Carnival needs to address that. The two are usually opposites. What is funny are those who label change as cutbacks or changes they don't like as quality issues. Breathe in, breathe out, move on.
