  1. I think still cheaper than paying by the drink.
  2. Most Royal loyals I know sold their RCL stock because the shareholder credit was a joke
  3. I doubt most are cruising under casino rates, and they aren't nobody. The actually shareholder credit has never been suspended and is easier to obtain than on other cruise lines like Royal.
  4. You can also carry on 1 bottle of wine per adult.

  6. We don't know if a crime was committed, including when and where. Jurisdiction hasn't been established. Security can search a cabin without a crime or permission for a variety of reasons.
  7. Carnival original's position was that it was suspicious and that is enough evidence to obtain search warrants. The FBI is officially not saying anything, including the name of the deceased and the current location of the husband and corpse.
  8. that's a shame. I have never heard anything good about the beignets (or anything) at Cafe Beignet and no reason for me to take a chance on them.
  9. Yes, we know the Bahamas performed an autopsy and a second one was to be performed in the US.
  10. Okay, but the FBI didn't search the cabin before it was under US jurisdiction and the car certainly was. The FBI can certainly investigate homicides, robberies, and rapes of US citizens on cruise ships. As the Bahamas performed the first autopsy, homicide could not have been ruled out. Do we know that the Bahamas did not request FBI assistance?
  11. In your opinion. But as you say, all it takes is a judge and an warrant application to obtain said warrant. I doubt Carnival had a representative in front of a judge. Hearsay is good enough. I believe the Bahamas also has jurisdiction
  12. I believe the car was also searched. In any event, if there was a crime, it happened at sea, outside of the jurisdiction of the US and the Constitution. However, the FBI is authorized to investigate all crimes against US citizens, anywhere in the world. That Carnival pronounced the person deceased and initially said the death was suspicious is enough probable cause to obtain warrants.
  13. The price isn't bad and neither is the taste. But beignets like you get at Cafe du Monde they ain't.
  14. More than double that number on Carnival and not once, as in never, have I seen any of these incidents. I suspect they may be staged. The rowdiest people I have run into have been on casino cruises. Two characters on a January cruise were drunk before they got on the ship and Carnival promptly cut them off for the rest of the day, confined them to their cabin, and even removed the balcony door handle. At least that is what they told me the next day when they were drinking again. But back to Alaska, been a number of times on Carnival and other cruise lines. The water and wildlife are the same. Have Alaska cruises on Carnival booked for this year and next. No worries. Already booked the Tracy Arm excursion for the first one and a third party whale watching excursion in Juneau.
  15. Ask in advance if they will prepare the next night, not after the fact.
  16. On capacity - there are more bunks on a cruise ship than can be legally sold. Just because a cabin has more beds than you need does not indicate Carnival will snatch the room. On the special needs, something similar can happen on airlines if someone with a service animal needs a special seat configuration (bulkhead comes to mind).
  17. No worries. The ambulance chaser is on it. https://www.cruiselawnews.com/2023/03/articles/uncategorized/carnival-changes-its-story-suspicious-death-of-guest-on-carnival-sunshine-is-now-a-natural-death-as-fbi-is-required-to-obtain-search-warrant-to-inspect-cabin-no-6271-based-on-evidence-of-a/ It seems to me the FBI filed for the search warrants before the ship arrived back in the US. I would think that is SOP if there was any possibility of a crime.
