  1. This is certainly valid. Or if someone has an accessible cabin but doesn't need it. or... Carnival really doesn't have to gave a reason. They can even substitute a different ship if they want to. All cruise lines can.
  2. Lots of different albums for sale ON the ships. Sounds like a good excuse to take a pre-cruise cruise to acquire a picture album!
  3. It is Carnival's right and there could be several reasons. Perhaps call Carnival and ask?
  4. As someone born and raised in New Orleans, I find them nothing like the real deal from Cafe du Monde. It was one (order) and done for us. Too much artistic license.
  5. I don't look these days, but on the ships with multiple bacon stations, especially for the late risers, there used to be at least one small station where they would bring the corpses of pre-molested leftover bacon. Now that I think about it, this was probably pre-Blue Iguana days, so it has been a while. One of many things I will forget to look for on the next cruise.
  6. There will sometimes be a station where you can molest a whole tray of bacon, but it is also often the leftovers that have already been picked through time and again by cruisers.
  7. People will pay more to see the iceberg coming than wonder on the way down what in the hell was that?
  8. What is this crisp bacon some are referring to? Much of the bacon I see is closer to raw. You might find crisp bacon shards swimming in grease at the bottom of the pan after picky bacon eaters have molested every piece in the tray looking for their perfect pieces.
  9. People seem to like this place https://vipdiving.com/courses/discover-scuba-diving/
  10. Fresh off a notch above (allegedly) line, Celebrity, and as the ship had various plagues, nothing was self-serve. At least Carnival has more included venues, spread out, with open more hours, and less expensive room service. Celebrity does have a few uppity included venues for those who pay exorbitant amounts and higher priced specialty restaurants for the rest. There is nothing wrong with Carnival's sea day brunch and as long as you check in before noon, you will be served. There basically is no change in hours for the workers and the differences in the menu are minuscule.
  11. Guests have been pushed out of MDRs for years. On NCL, you almost have to eat in extra cost dining venues to get edible food.
  12. Hopefully they at least thaw it before serving. I think much, if not most, food served on a cruise ship was frozen at one point.
  13. The tubs were being replaced long before the conspiracy theories about staff. More likely maintenance costs were too high, if spares were even still available.
  14. Pretty high. If you mean two suspicious deaths, it would be something less.
  15. People die on cruise ships all the time and the FBI doesn't get involved.
  16. A niche player on its best day and not a mass market play.
  17. Tipping has been an inherent part of cruising since day 1. It is the customer that has FUBAR'd it. If all carried their weight, this would be a non-topic.
  18. I should not have to subsidize Carnival to make changes to accommodate outliers.
  19. You know in advance the charge. There is no argument. You have a choice to go to the restaurant or not.
  20. The ship is staffed to serve you. If you choose not to use their services, they are still there to serve you. Somebody else might hook up immediately and not stay in their cabin the whole cruise. The cabin steward is still there for them. Regardless, it is always a team effort. There are a lot of people serving you that you don't come in direct contact with.
  21. At least that you can recall... Maybe ask them what other ships they have been on. Many these days might be relatively new hires, but they will learn.
  22. Each adult can bring a bottle of wine.
