  1. Your class is what ours was described as. I would have loved that.
  2. We ate at Lawn Club Grill last night. They no longer allow guest participation due to “some unfortunate instances”. BTW - one of top 2 best meals we’ve had in the 6 days on board, and we’ve been to all the Speciality Restaurants. There’s just something about eating outdoors with the grill smoke wafting by.
  3. On Celebrity Reflection parked next to her. I remember being on it as a Royal Viking ship - yes, I’m aging myself!!
  4. One cruise director, when asked if there was a charge for the Tender, replied “No, but only because we hadn’t thought of it before now”.
  5. Kteacher - I would continue your post for you for the 4/26 trip, but you did such a nice job my additions would pale in comparison. I will post after the 4/26 voyage is over, but mostly to compare and contrast our experience on the 4/21 and 4/26 trips in the Penthouse then the Reflection suite.
  6. Captain Kirk is now on Reflection starting with today’s voyage (4/26).
  7. Pretty much what we learned. They said the most important part was to let it come to room temp (said it was safe to leave out up to 4 hours), and rest longer than you think.
  8. Someone asked about that, as they were going to cancel the pizza class they reserved. We were told that the pizza one is actually hands-on. When I said earlier a “sampling of what they cooked”, it was definitely meal-sized, and you could go to the salad bar.
  9. Update…… Looks like they posted a refund for all of us of 50% of the charge for the class. This wasn’t asked for or even expected, to be honest. Hopefully they’ll change the description in the future. Have to give them kudos on how it was handled now.
  10. Just finished the Steak Master Class Ship Experience on Reflection. This was the first time they’ve done this class on this ship. Quoting from the description “During this hands-on class, learn how to get your steak to come out as tenderly and well-seasoned as when you order at your favorite restaurant.” We also had l letter in the cabin reminding us we are in crew galley and other areas and warning about straying off, having to wash our hands frequently, etc. In reality, it was a short demo of them cooking in the Lawn Club Grill followed by sampling the meat they cooked. The demo was informative, however the “experience” was nowhere near the description and certainly not worth the price that was charged.
  11. Thanks for this info. We’re on Reflection with you now, and are doing B2B for the next voyage. Moving from Penthouse Suite to Reflection Suite though, so have to have our stuff moved. I’m guessing from what you stated that will be a non-event and they’ll take care of everything.
  12. We are on the first 3-day of the season on the 26th if this month that is leg 2 of our B2B. Expecting it to be more "Carnival-like" than our other Celebrity experiences and plan to spend lots of time on the balcony. Hopefully we'll be pleasantly surprised. We've found the longer the cruise, the more behaved/civilized people are.
  13. This baby and some Sushi from the Lido, and you’re good to go if staying in a balcony room. I found trolling rather challenging though so it’s better when you are in ports.
  14. More like an ex-wife for me…..I pay Celebrity each year the equivalent of what alimony would be!
  15. I think this all varies depending on the ship and the onshore concierge. Our last trip on Celebrity, in a Penthouse Suite on Constellation, we received both a phone call and an email. All dining reservation requests (including Luminae at a specified time) were taken care of. Our next trip in April is a b2b on Reflection. First leg in the Penthouse Suite, second in the Reflection Suite. No phone call, no email - I had to initiate by a call to the Retreat line. We requested dining reservations for each night at a specific time, and were told that they could not do that - and moved us to another time. I'm guessing our Butler will be able to change these for us, but bottom line is that our treatment was vastly different this time.
  16. My parents owned a travel agency in the 70s and 80s. Above Dad’s desk was a sign: “If you can afford to fly first class and don’t, your heirs will”.
  17. Not everyone who stays like that is wealthy. We work and save up to make our cruises special. And we read this forum. And we don’t have personal assistants. For us, we’d rather travel like that and go less often.
  18. We will be in that suite in 5 weeks. I will post about our experience. I am more worried about noise from the lounge next door.
  19. Four adults in one room - it'll be so crowded you'll need to speak in abbreviations.
  20. If you select “query” you can see future dates. For the 30th it’s showing 19.
  21. Make sure you select option 3 - if you choose the “already reserved” option, you get forwarded to regular sales. 3 will get you Retreat folks.
  22. Just to set expectations - HAL Club Orange is just a separate seating area (or venue depending on ship class) with the regular Dining Room menu plus one Club-Orange-Only entree. Service is typically better and more attentive than in the Dining Room. Also - it is not open for lunch.
  23. Bunco - when you are in IC - are you typically a party of more than 2? Is it overkill for 2?
  24. FINALLY!!!! Something’s advantageous about not having hair.
