  1. Oh Mic you haven't missed the point of the bromeliads have you? Grimma would be very disappointed with you. Masklin thankfully did in the end.😁
  2. Well Mic I hope your satisfied.🀬 I did look the book up 🀬 Found it, and was able to download a sample part of it, to see what the reference to Bromeliad was about. I read it🀬 There was no mention of bromeliads in the sampler😑 But the story is about Gnomes, cute little buggers, having a real problem, living with people.😒 Had to find out how they got on, and how the bromeliads fitted in to the storyπŸ™„ So downloaded the dam book.🀨 Started reading it. Its a bloody kids book, I'm not hooked, I could put it down any time I want.πŸ€₯ Its amazing how totally innocent creatures trying to do the right thing can get into so much trouble.😡 I think I must have gnome blood in me.😁 I eventually found out what the Bromeliads had to do with the story.πŸ₯° No woman should read it, they will get all soggy, and giving knowing looks at each other.😨 And the gnomes were fine in the end.☺️ And their going to come back to earth, and finish what they started.😊 So Mic are you satisfied????πŸ₯΄ Regards The little boy in me.
  3. Know what you mean, that's why we're flying in the day before staying a short 10-15 Min walk from the OCT. If your looking for accommodation, I have posted a recommendation on the roll call site, if your interested.
  4. Hi Phoenixx That's great, seen your post on the Round Aust roll call. Are you arriving Syd on the day, or arriving a day early? Regards John
  5. We're a bit the same, we're doing two non cruise holidays this year, one driving down south and one flying to Perth, and the cruise later in the year. Don't think we could fit another trip in.
  6. Actually there might have been. Way back when I started cruising, on the Diamond, and the sun class ships that I went on, they had a 240v Aust type style plug behind the bed, I was able to plug in with an extension cord. Don't ask me why you would have one there, but a steward clued me into it being there.
  7. I have been sailing on Princess for many years, never found it difficult to book. Just select a cruise you think you would like to do. Decide what kind of alcohol drinker you are, low, medium, high, then select standard fare, or plus, or premium package. book your cruise, hay presto done. I'm like Sinbad above, don't drink a lot of booze, so just book standard fare. Once on board, staff don't care if your private suite, or internal cabin, everyone is treated the same, on Princess. As Sinbad said don't want to fuss with alternative pay dinning, don't go. However if your willing to spend the money, they deliver a different level of dinning. The main difference in your previous cruising would be the cost of the cruise, pay more fore your cruise get a higher level of service. but that's the same as adding a package, as far as drinking and some other incidentals. But they can be purchased as separate smaller packages. Do what your comfortable with. Regards John
  8. OK if you guys are to ashamed to tell us an Oh dam that didn't go as planned stories. Maybe this will get a giggle, then maybe a nod of yep definitely.
  9. Oh they give far more, far far more. I only have to think of her, and she's still giving.😊
  10. I don't know, no sure which would be worst, a dog that sheds, or the ones like Leah who didn't. With Leah I was constantly brushing and trimming her, or she would knot up something shocking. If I slipped and didn't, then she would be a real pain to de-knot, I'd have to be really careful to not nick her. But she was worth every minute of it.
  11. It seems one growl was enough, he hasn't dug another since, maybe he decided he would rather play than be growled at.😁 I know I'm the same when growled at by you know who.πŸ˜†
  12. Happy too, will get locations. All the Aussie plugs I've seen on princess ships have been on the desk area, or up behind the old TV shelf, so would expect an extension cord would be needed if using Aus plug outlet. But as Yaya_in_Oz said, check the C-Pap machine, would be surprised if it was not bi-voltage. Give me a reminder closer to the 26th as a nudge not to forget. Have put it in my calendar, but always good to double check. So yes I too like dot i's & cross t's.😁
  13. Crown does not arrive in Australia until 26th Oct, its first cruise is the Syd-Syd round Australia, ending on the 23rd Nov. I will be on it for that cruise, if you can't confirm before then let me know and I will tell you what's there. Regards John
  14. That's ok, pretty sure it will be forgiven this time. However you should have corrected the second through above as well.😁 ps: Maybe its a "I need a Cruise" moment.🀣
  15. Going to have to look it up on my e-reader, thanks.
  16. Cat can be amazing, and I've had some great cats over the years, but there is nothing like a dog to be your mate, they listen to all your troubles with understanding eyes, and are always ready to be with you when you call, with wagging tail and excited look, every bone and muscle in their body asking where are we going...πŸ˜†
  17. So feel the same, especially with Frank, lost Leah about 10 years ago, still miss her. she was with me through some of the toughest time in my life. we were great mates, she seemed to sense how I was feeling, and just snuggle up to me when I needed it.
  18. Sorry read the previous message one wrong, I thought she was your current pet. Pet never seems the right word, as their more than that, that's why we miss them so much when their gone.
  19. Its hard loosing them, I know. But this one looks like he will melt your heart.☺️ Look at the trust in those eyes, and complete attention on you.
  20. Cruise Critic has struck again, won't let me click on it, See below. Oops! This attachment is not available. It may have been removed or the person who shared it may not have permission to share it to this location. I hate that message, I get it a lot with excel posts.
  21. He looks just like a dog, one of my other daughters has. I think that ones called a Groodle. What is it these days with dogs, in my day if a dog was cross bred you called it a mongrel or a bitsa and they weren't worth much. Now they give them fancy names and charge a fortune for them. Must admit they great dogs anyway.
  22. Just for you been down and took a photo a section of a curved bit. Haven't been able to trim the grass, as the fresh laid dirt would be whipped up as well.
  23. The tree by the way started out very innocently, with Hil planting three bromeliads at the bottom, about ten years ago. We turned around one day, and suddenly it was looking down at us. I have to keep going around it every so often to pluck all the dried bits, to stop it looking as ugly as.😬
  24. The two LL is the American spell, as against the English spelling. But the US never has been able to spell, they seem to have gone out of their way to mess up my already inability to spell correctly. All I can say is thank god for the spell checker with a real English dictionary. By the way that's a great tip re the holes thing, will definitely try that.
