have notified guests departure is delayed 30 minutes with no reason as to why - apparently on board you would never know there is an issue - hope the issue is port related not ship related
I hope all is okay! Still can't find where you're talking about. Went on RCCL C&A Society but I didn't see anything about this.
No ships are leaving yet, but there are boats cruising around in the water, so it can't be a huge deal.

have seen two stories - one that just after boarding started there was a police chase and person jumped in water - other said gun was thought to have gotten on board - the police chase was apparently witnessed by a passenger from their balcony - been following on book of faces :)
I can't find where you are looking on the book you speak of. I looked on RCCI on there and don't see it. Can you share without breaking CC rules? :p

Just went on the roll call for today's sailing to see where ship was sailing to and there's something on there about security issues?
Someone posted 5 customs and patrol agents, heavily armed deputy and 3 sniffing dogs and RC stated severe security breach.
I hope all is okay!!!

Thank you so much for doing this! I'm going to miss seeing the daily pics, which were fantastic! We're on Freedom in April. And now a TA is on my bucket list!
Safe travels!

Following - we're on her in April!
Would love to know of any special places on the ship. Like peek-a-boo bridge? I know that was on Adventure.

Can't wait to see this ship in real life..only 192 days to go..:(
If you have time can you take a photo of the crazy golf, my husband is a big golfer and spends most of his cruise at the crazy golf..thank you.
I have 176, I feel your pain, LOL!!! What's your itinerary?

This is funny. There are 2 reviews of this ship, on this sailing going on right now. Let's just say that the other poster is having a lot more fun :-)

I am so happy I found this post. Our family is taking this cruise over Christmas/New Year. This is our first RC cruise. I found a different post saying some very negative things and that really scared me. Your posts have been very comforting and reassuring. I will be following along. Could you please tell me which nights are formal nights on your cruise? I haven't been able to find that information. Thanks!
Are you talking about someone else that is on Grandeur right now? If so, I saw that and read about 2 sentences and moved on.
Before we sailed on Adventure a couple years ago I just couldn't believe the differences of opinions on conditions of the ship or how the service and food was on the ship, etc. We loved the ship and the entire vacation!
DH and I have a good time no matter what. You're on vacation, and for us that means we're not at work. :D

Maybe it will change once Freedom gets back to the US next month.
That's what we were thinking. It gets back to FLL on Nov 5th.

Our cruise is leaving out of Port Everglades. I'm actually asking for friends cruising with us and they say they've always done this on Carnival.

It shows not available on the following ships. But I'm wondering if we can just buy the booze when we get on the ship and take it back to the room.

Am I reading this right on their website? They don't deliver pre-purchased alcohol to your stateroom on FOS?

I just came across this. It's going to be a long time for them. We were there in May 2016. So sad.
-
We sale in April 2018 and it still shows $55/day. Does this sale include all sail dates? I looked yesterday and it was still $55/day.

Our flight on Southwest doesn't leave until 10 pm or something like that. I've been looking into a day rates at hotels. There's also luggage storage at the airport, but you have to pick it up by 5:30pm. I think we may do a day rate hotel, then hang our Fort Lauderdale until 6 or 7 than head to the airport. I haven't done all the research yet, but if you google day rates for Ft Lauderdale hotels you will find info. Also google luggage storage at FLL and you'll find stuff.

We did Bonaire Vista Tours. It was a 3 1/2 - 4 hour tour of the island with stops at the salt flats, slave huts, the town of Rincon. We also made a stop at a flamingo sanctuary. It was a beautiful tour! The van was air conditioned and they provided water. The color of the ocean with its turquoise and blue was spectacular!

Wish we could cruise every year, but we also like traveling in our RV to see the country. There is only so much vacation time and money :-)

We will be cruising on Royal Caribbean for the first time in Feb. We have only cruised NCL in the past. We always buy the beverage package but also like to give certain bartenders an extra tip from time to time if we get exceptional service. Does RC have you sign for every drink when you have the beverage package so you can add an extra tip for the bartender? Or do we need to bring cash for tips?
I don't want to get into a debate over whether tipping is necessary. We like to do it because we feel we get better service and get to know the bartenders better that way. Just looking for info on how things work on RC with the beverage package.
When we were on Adventure of the Seas last year we bought the beverage package. Some bartenders had us sign and some didn't. I don't know if that was the way it was supposed to be, but that's the way it was when we sailed. This was the first time we bought a beverage package. DH and I will get beverage packages again when we cruise in April! We're using our OBC and RCL cc points so the package will be more than 1/2 price for us :p

Following! I hope you have an awesome trip! Can't wait to read all about it!
-
Anyone heard anything from them? I've tried searching and didn't find a lot of information. We did a tour with them in June last year and it was awesome!
We're supposed to go back to in May of 2018 and would consider taking a tour with them again.
I really hope they're all okay - as well as the rest of the island.
Sounds like the island is coming along rather well which is great news!!

Okay so I'm a smoker. The first balcony I booked was when you could smoke on your balcony and then before we sailed they changed the rules, LOL!!! I didn't smoke on my balcony. End of story. People don't like the smell of smoke and I get that so I don't understand why people can't follow the rules and more importantly be considerate of the people that don't want to smell that.
-
Never heard of it but on Freedom in April. I hope you get an answer to your question because I'd like to know too!
-
We sail in April on FOS. I keep checking weekly for drink pkg discount. We have onboard credit of $300 for booking on our last cruise, plus I have 25,000 points on my RC credit card, which equals to $250 OBC, so our drink pkg will be cheap

Remember they're dealing with the hurricane. They were probably preparing. You may have to wait for awhile. Not sure how bad St Kitts was hit, but it can't be good. St Martin is total devastation.
I emailed him a week ago to book a tour, and got the automatic reply that said "we will respond within 24-48 hours". But nothing since then. Is this common with him?

I can get on Royal Caribbean Crown & Anchor Society, but I don't see the post. The first post at the top that I see is about Symphony and then the next one is the 11/7 reveal.
