  1. DW and I just got home on Sat from the Harmony. Ive been on Oasis and Allure a few times so I was expecting it to be the same ship but with a few new slides and other small changes. Well, we went to the Solarium for a nice quiet day for our first sea day and I come to find out that there is no pool there. They ditched the pool and put up some cheesy fake palm that spray's water when you push the button. To me, that is the only downfall of this ship. I missed hitting the pool and then catching some rays in this quiet environment. There is an adult only pool next to the others, but its just not the same.

We had a balcony cabin on deck 8 and the room seemed quite a bit bigger than the other ships. The showers were large too and there were two separate closets. We really liked the layout!

On side note - The day we did hang at the adult only pool there were two chair hogs who brought their stuff out about 9:30 am. We saw them come back once at around 11 for two minutes to check on their stuff ( big bad and clothes ...etc ) and left again. Then it got cloudy and started to pour and all their stuff got soaked.... :') good for them. Sorry to be bitter but so many people do this crap and don't even use the chairs.

  2. Well, I guess it all depends on your capabilities. My wife is 46 and has RA pretty bad in her knee's. She was able to get up the ladder without too much trouble. The ladder is wide and very stable. What is also nice is that the crew will take your gear and hold it for you so you can use both hands and feet to get out of the water and up the ladder. I think you will be fine if you just take your time and do one step at a time. Its worth it... the snorkeling was very good !!

  3. Not 100% sure of the price, but I think 40 pp, They will take you to the beach in an AC Van and also stop at Maho for some plane spotting. Tour includes drinks. We liked it cuz we got to go to the beach and see planes too. They also stopped at an area so we could souvenirs if we wanted.

  4. Ohh...Tytytyty - feeling more confident now about being able to get off the ship [emoji41] I don't suppose I'd be lucky enough that there are lots of places to sit if I need to.

When you turned right at the end of the pier there was a macadam walk path and there were several spots to sit... like park benches.

If you turned left and walked toward the shopping area, there was a few spots to sit too. Once you get to the little market area, there were also spots to sit. Just a thought, but how about renting a scooter... not a motorcycle kind, but like they have at the grocery stores. It may be a good idea... they are very compact and manoeuvrable and then you dont have to worry about a bench.. :)

  5. Thanks so much. Hopefully I will be able to manage that walk-I know the piers at Grand Turk & Cozumel are too long for me. I am so looking forward to this port - one of the few I've never been to. [emoji41]

The pier was pretty short actually.... nothing like Cozumel. I was pleasantly surprised with Bonaire. Very small and quaint... and didn't get hounded every twenty feet to but stuff.

  6. I would imagine so. Is the person your mentioning about distance ok with climbing a ladder per se. Woodwind has a four or five rung ladder to get back on the boat. Its sturdy and wide though and the crew will hold your gear till you get on too.

  7. Check out these guys. They were great and only 55 bux. They were walking distance from the pier. 5 minute walk I think. They had all the gear, the crew was friendly and helpful and we saw lots of fish and turtles. They gave us drinks and a nice meal afterwards too. The guides showed us stuff we may have missed otherwise. We really enjoyed it !!

  8. DW and I were just there. The pier ( south pier) is pretty close to town where there is a few shops and if you walk just about another 100 yds there is small area with a dozen vendors or so.... and there is another shopping area ( called a mall ) but its not like a Mall in the USA, its much smaller. There were benches periodically placed so if you need to sit down you can. We really liked Bonaire allot, especially because its so small and not commercialized.

We did a snorkeling tour with Woodwind. They were very good and they provided all the gear, drinks and food. The crew was very nice and helpful. We highly recommend them.

  9. I bought a few pieces a few years ago. Some people told me the price might not be too bad on the art, but where they get you is the framing. I felt it all was a little too high. I am by far a knowledgeable person in regards to "art " as we like Thomas Kincade stuff, but a few other pieces I liked were high too. A piece is only worth what someone will spend for it.... they didnt seem to budge on the min prices... so the stuff Sat. Whatever !!
