  1. We have one more cruise with the plus package and that's it for us. We once though it was a good deal but after trying it a number of times have come to realize that we just succumbed to the advertising & people posting how great it is. It's a struggle to get to 15 drinks a day and having the unlimited internet is no bargain since 99% of our emails are junk anyway and we can live without streaming programs.
  2. Yep. Just don't make it too obvious by holding it up high as you walk through the check out area. Some locations do have a thing about taking off coffee/drinks & just want you to purchase it from their local stores.
  3. You haven't seen the last of it. Stay tuned for even more crazy ideas. I'm sure they don't want to introduce all of them at one time. You'll find out someday.
  4. I'd love to meet the people who come up with the design of those concoctions. I picture them as young people around 20 years old, never been on a cruise ship, still watch adult cartoons, and play video games. Anyway, it's hard to accept that Carnival Corp. would let anyone be give free reign to construct just a mess of a dessert & still be employed. Maybe I'm just getting to old for what the newer generation thinks a cruise should be.
  5. Sometimes is pays to book as separate trips even though you have to return to Ft Lauderdale. It does have advantages.
  6. The "real money". They hate to see people not spend it on the ship. We occasionally do indulge but most times we just remove it. I don't view the OBC as money to be spent. It's real dollars to me & I treat it as such. Why but something for the heck of it just to spend it? I don't do it at home so why do it on the ship?
  7. It make no difference what the other want to wear. As long as Princess allowed them, which they do, you'll be fine.
  8. Seems like something new every day, and not for the good.
  9. I haven't been on the Majestic or Discovery but it's good to know for future reference. On the Enchanted the center toggle still works for switching to USB (with or without a universal remote) which is good enough for what I need to connect my hard drive or thumb drive. My only interest is playing movies late at night.
  10. Not under the front ledge it doesn't. If you keep your car key in there it provides a reminder to take everything else when you leave, especially now since you don't need a passport to leave the ship.
  11. Some have even raised theirs but thankfully Princess doesn't seem to care one way or the other.
  12. We've found that on casual nights shorts are now acceptable for everyone in the dining room no matter what they have printed in their literature. They would never tell you that children couldn't wear them.
  13. When we bring a drink from our room we always carry it to the table with no problem. Just tell then you prefer to do it yourself.
  14. Unfortunately the HDMI wasn't an option on the Enchanted in our balcony cabin in March. We were using the bottom center toggle control and not a universal remote, not that it would have made ay difference. Possibly other decks and cabins might still have access to HDMI but on Emerald deck it was blocked. It's funny that some of the ships have it blocked while others don't. Yes, it was a tight squeeze to plug in any cables but I still managed it with an extension my husband made to give extra cable reach.
  15. Why not use the safe, at least for your wallets and passports?
  16. I think I recall seeing it but now I'm having second thoughts. I do recall for sure, many people giving the barista envelopes.
  17. It most certainly is lame but the only reason we still go is to hear mow many of each Capt. circle level are sailing. If you have the drink package there's basically no other reason to be bothered going.
  18. That seems like a quick & simple solution.
  19. There was a tip jar at the IC on the Enchanted the last full day of our cruise in March.
  20. I'm really not sure but you would think they would have some feed back from the current sales. If you do sell your shares, let us know what happened to your OBC.
