Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. New to Seabourne. Cruising Alaska in August 2023. If anyone is able to send a coupon, I would be very grateful. Email questions/coupon to: ltoran@aol.com Many thanks to this thread!
  2. Where did/do you get the paperwork in advance to complete for the Covid data?
  3. Great information, thank you very much. I was concerned as I keep reading about the long walk but if there are no suitcases to lug, we'll be fine. Much appreciated.
  4. We will be arriving to the Istanbul port via taxi. What is the luggage procedure? Do they take it fairly quickly or do we have to drag it from area to area prior to them taking it off our hands? Is there anyone to assist us should we need help?
  5. I've been given mixed messages about purchasing liquor and/or wine in port and bringing it on board. My TA says Regent will hold it until we disembark; my Regent contact said yes we can not only bring it on board, we can even bring it into the dining room. Anyone want to weigh in on this?
  6. Thank you everyone. This was all very helpful.
  7. I know I can purchase a month package with Verizon (pretty reasonable too). But how does it work in countries abroad (Turkey, Middle East, Dubai specifically). Will we need to get "sim" cards in each country (or anything/something else)? We want to be able to stay connected to the US.
  8. Thank you for your reply. I was able to buy them yesterday on sale.
  9. I believe it's fairly easy to do but since we are entering via a cruise ship, I was wondering where/how we get the Visa so we can do a private or small group tour on our own to Petra.
  10. For those who responded to the original inquiry about large group tours, many thanks. I was surprised that there were very few small group tours even offered. Has anyone switched (while onboard) and had the Regent "desk" arrange small groups? Regent's private car tours are outrageously expensive but in particular in Jordan, if we don't travel with Regent, we have to arrange for our own VISAs (anyone have experience with this?). We are considering using Tours by Locals as they seem to have a very good reputation and then we'd have options to stay more in Petra or use time to go to Wadi Rum. (For those that ended up commenting about Sake shortages, thanks for that info too as I also really enjoy Sake with an Asian meal!).
  11. I am looking for feedback about using Regent tours that are larger groups. Specifically, I am concerned using this type of tour to see Petra and Wadi Rum (Jordan). Any feedback about these type of tours is greatly appreciated.
