  1. Hi, I'm sorry if this has been asked before, it was hard to search. Does anyone have the email addresses of the retreat concierges on board either the Apex or the Beyond? Thanks
  2. Does anyone have the email address for the retreat concierges on Apex?
  3. They haven’t answered my email yet.
  4. When we went to Volunteer Point in the Falklands, we were told we could absolute not approach or engage with the penguins. There are signs all over with that. However, penguins can't read.
  5. That's pretty much what I did. I said I wanted 8:45 every night. I also asked about moving my specialty dining reservation once onboard, since I want to base it on the menu at Coastal, which is not online. The current cruise is not the same itinerary, so I can't really use that.
  6. For suites, me too. I did get one low bid from Concierge to Aqua last year, but there were lots of Aqua rooms open.
  7. Thanks. I did get an email early this morning from the concierges. It contained a lot of information about the experienc, but all it said about dining was to make reservations on the cruise planner or the app. I don't see how to make Coastal Kitchen reservations on the app, so I guess I will reply as that falls under "if you need assistance". Thanks again.
  8. I'm on my first RC cruise on Sunday, and in a Sky level suite. You're saying a concierge will contact me? Someone told me it would be a week before the cruise, and that was today. While we do eat late, I'd hate to have to eat in open seating main dining because I couildn't get in to Coastal Kitchen (which is advertised as a perk of my room). Thanks
  9. We did a TA on Silhouette in 2022, and loved it. I hope you enjoy everything.
  10. I assume you don't need any of us to tell you what it means (I only learned earlier this year) Absolutely. We get home on the 23rd from the cruise that's your fault.
  11. We were last there in October of 2021. Lounge wasn't open, but it was fine. When I start my Lives, I'll put a link to the Royal one here, and comment on the hotel there before I start. I'll move back here, for the Apex, but remind me and I'll let you know.
  12. Even though we'll be on the Xpedition in 2024, I'm following. Have a great trip.
  13. That's my go to hotel too, in fact we'll be there next Saturday night, as we board the Symphony of the Seas on Sunday, and then Apex the following Saturday.
  14. I'm in. We are doing our first time on the Apex, two weeks after you, with the same itinerary. Sorry the hotel is such a disappointment. I guess it's one night and now you know not to go back.
  15. Glen says it looks better than it tastes. I'll take his word for it, since I don't do chocolate (don't like it).
  16. Oh, right, I forgot that it had a very similar design. We were on in September - nice ship but I will never sail her again. Staff was great, but design inside makes it too crowded. Might be OK in the Caribbean though.
  17. Here's the point. Princess used to have 3 ships, the Grand, the Golden and the Star. Their bar in the back (Skywalkers) was raised up, making the ship look like a giant shopping cart. When we we on the Edge, DH noted the Magic Carpet and said "great - the Princess shopping cart ships are finally getting a shopping bag to put in them". (If you want to see a picture - google Diamond Princess. Grand had the handle removed for structural reasons, and the name Star is being reused - the Diamond is now with P&O, but AFAIK, the shopping cart handle is still there.
  18. I've been out and about all day today, but happy birthday. And they did make some tweaks to the first day lunch in Luminae. They used to have English Pea soup (which I like a lot) and now it's borsch, which my mother loved, but I hate.
  19. Thanks for the very entertaining report. Have a safe trip homem, and hope to see in in August/September.
  20. In 2015, we had dinner at the restaurant there. It was great - but I'm not sure it's the same name now. We have Marriotts booked in March for around 438 a night - but that's Singapore dollars I hope.
  21. I had a friend who was on the Bridge during the earthquake. She said they say people running towards their car like it was in a zombie movie. Also read about a guy who had acrophobia. His office window faced the freeway that was removed. He had to change offices. I was in a parking lot at the time.
