Is tea time a thing on all Celebrity ships? If it is I never noticed it when I sailed with them.
I've never noticed it before. It is not in the app or the paper. I only heard about it from another passenger.

I need to find some time to go duck hunting. She's gonna beat me again.

Gonna head to the gym now to work off some of my lunch before we check out the tea time spread.

Glad you didn't waste calories on something you didn't like. Not a fan of most gluten free stuff. You should treat yourself to a tart now.
Not sure how many calories I really saved. I ate all the frosting and just left the cake 😆.
We are going to check out tea time so no tarts for us. I don't think it's going to be much but my mom really wants to check it out.

Not so appealing now

I'm left with a half eaten mess on my table. I'd throw it in the trash but then I would have a dirty spoon sitting on the counter. Maybe I will put a tissue down.
More likely, I'll just take the whole mess back to a table somewhere.

Okay, I typically eat a lightish lunch in the buffet and grab dessert there, then hit up Al Bacon later in the day for an afternoon chocolate tortes snack. The buffet desserts are never all that great, with the exceptions being chocolate mousse and cannoli when they appear.
My new plan for my upcoming cruise in April is to head directly to Al Bacon for dessert and ignore the buffet desserts. Better use of my calories that way. Plus, on the Ascent it is quite a hike from the buffet to Al Bacon, so "exercise!"
That is a good plan. I have given up on the buffet too. Usually the only thing I've enjoyed there is the ice cream and the bread pudding. On Reflection, the bread pudding was ice cold. I tried the mousse, that was very good I will have to be on the lookout for a cannoli.

I hope it tasted better than it looks. I've never seen a key lime pie look like that.
It was quite sad looking. Taste wise it was one of the better key lime pies I've eaten and I am a huge key lime pie fan. Up there with pies at specialty restaurants, just a tiny mini slice. I could have used more.
The dessert from al Bacon was the first dud so far, I tried the gluten free cake and well, thank goodness I can live a gluten full lifestyle.

Al Bacio will be forever known to me as Al Bacon. I am sure to confuse DH when I tell him I want to go to Al Bacon for a coffee.
How was the Pad Thai?
The pad Thai was good but not extremely flavorful like I remember. It bordered on bland but the shrimp gave it a nice flavor. The noodles were cooked better today, but just barely. Fine for me as I like slightly overcooked pasta but it was almost mushy again.
The tuna was very good and somehow I even enjoyed the fries today.

I find that skipping meals is counter productive. My best weight control is when I eat at regular times.
I have trouble with portion control so for me the best option is to not eat when possible and I am not a big breakfast person anyway.

What is your mom's opinion of the blueberry soup?
She enjoyed it. She said it was not too sweet which we both thought with cream and port wine it would be.
She did not care for her liver, she said it was overcooked to the point of being ruined. She did not eat it.

My mom has pulled ahead with four ducks. Claims to have found two more but had people ask her for them and gave them away.
I've got to start looking better.

I managed to skip breakfast not that it helped yesterday. Too many sweets I guess.
Lunch starts in five minutes. I also heard they do tea time at the buffet so we will check that out later although it is not listed anywhere so not sure if that is accurate.

Is there not a danger of hijacking? Does it have an armed guard? From what you say it has by far the nicest sweet things on the ship.
She was moving at quite a fast pace, she must have been aware of the danger.

If by chance you make a stop by Al Bacon today, would you mind taking a picture of the display case? I think there are several of us following along that wouldn't mind drooling over the selections.
I sure will 😀. It's a bit glarey but I will get you something to 🤤 over
