So, is Stilton Cheese forbidden? Some (though not all) of that is made with unpasteurised milk.

I would say yes although I would imagine they likely just pasteurize it and sell it as Stilton anyway like they do with clotted cream. Like the wines they sell with added preservatives that alter the taste.

I have no problem getting Devon Clotted Cream from Amazon or my local Whole Foods. It has a short shelf life, even sealed. I can't remember if its as good as I had in the UK - its been too long, and my taste buds, like my hearing, have worn out.

Technically it is not clotted cream since it is made with pasteurized milk, although maybe that would be splitting hairs.

I always like the chicken fajitas, guacamole, pico de gallo, flour tortillas and a cold cerveza or two. Yum, yummy.

I'm just not a big Mexican food person.  The burritos were good but could have benefited from some salsa which I did not see any available unless I went to the nacho stand.

I sort of wonder if some of the liveliness (or not) of a ship is sort of based on who the Cruise Director is?  All of the Celebrity ships I have been on have been quite lively, but they all also had younger, latin, male CDs who seem to enjoy party dancing. I have never sailed on a ship with Sue as a CD, but based on her YouTube channel and interviews I've seen, she seems to have more of a calmer lounge act vibe to her personality.  I am thinking the different personalities might influence the entertainment schedule somewhat?

That is a possibility. I'd be interested to learn the CD role on Celebrity. On Carnival they are the face, but the activities are planned by the Entertainment Director. Sue is the only CD in Celebrity I have ever noticed and she is everywhere but then there is an activities Director also so I wonder which one is the planner?

I also wonder what the crowd onboard thinks? I'm obviously not the demographic. On Cunard, I was often bored at night, but the ship was lively and raving about the Entertainment. It wasn't for me, but the demographic on the ship mostly seemed to enjoy it. The younger folks, not so much but we were in the minority.

Here, the ship is mostly quiet by 9. I have not heard many comments either way good or bad and they are some younger people on here.

The dressing up is a reason a lot of people travel with Cunard. I’m not keen myself but enjoy seeing everyone else looking glam.

The dressing up was why I never considered Cunard until I couldn't resist the price. Glad I did because it turned out to be a great experience and not nearly as formal as I feared.

Cunard gave us a  list of which nights were fancier and what to wear...Shows were very good.. West End talent.  Loved the Planetarium on QM 2 and the Spa area.

Afternoon TEA was amazing and slightly dressy!

But we usually stick with X!

That tea time was very very good. The food in general was all very good.

Most of the entertainment was not really geared to me as both an American and someone born after the Eisenhower administration, but it was still livelier at night than this ship by kilometers.

So, does something have to be added to the wine before it is allowed to be imported? Or taken out? Or what?

I believe they have to add preservatives if I am understanding her post correctly.

What could be lovelier than classical piano music? It is the first thing you’ve mentioned that I might recognise. 😀😀

You mean you did not recognize naughty girl?

  7. Good morning.

I was sleeping in a bit today for the first time and then the alarm went off. I've done long cruises before but can't say I've ever experienced two safety drills before.

Today is Cozumel, our final port of call and for the first time since 2014 I am docked at the downtown terminal. I may go back out for a walk after doing some shopping with mom if it is not to terribly hot out.

  8. That show was unexpectedly amazing. I throughly enjoyed it and again the dancers were mind blowing.

It was also indeed a bit raunchy. I don't think anyone would find it offensive, but not enjoyable for someone not interested in seeing a show with overtly sexual content. There were no innuendos here, they were blunt in what they meant 😆.

The outfits worn are environmentally friendly as they will require very little detergent to launder.

I didn't see any pineapples but there were men dancing with woman. Men dancing with men. Men dancing with a woman and man. And just one big pile of men and women...."dancing". Cheeky fun indeed.

It also had a lot of nice visual effects throughout and top notch choreography. The singsers were extremely talented as well.
