Burger break.

It's happy hour! Won't take long since I didn't deplete much yesterday then I found something my mom is interested in to get her out of the room for a while.

Cartagena is very beautiful. I was very surprised the first time I came here how modern and beautiful the city was.

Sounds like a good time!

Very good. My mom got a nice haul today.

Heading off now for my afternoon gym time and some sauna.

It was nice. The heat was not as bad as I'd feared. Definitely warm, but not overwhelming. Of course it is only March I'm sure it will get much warmer in the coming months.

Dessert.

Desserts look good but I'm gonna do al bacio instead. Sometimes they look better than they are here.

I checked yesterday, nada, but can't hurt to check again so thanks for the heads up. Ironically, I had new and better celebrity offers and I have not been gambling much with them.

Just walked around on my own, but did not leave the port area so did not deal with any of the issues I've read about walking on your own in Cartagena. They have a very nice port shopping complex that is not overrun with overpriced jewelry stores or pushy vendors. There is also a nice aviary with all kinds of wildlife. It is a short walk, 3 or 4 minutes, or a shuttle will take you.

I see al bacio snacks in my ne a room future. Ship feels warm today, maybe I'm just hot from being outside.

Back on the ship. It's warm out but I think Grand Cayman was hotter. My mom had a successful day shopping and is getting better On her scooter, but still has to get more comfortable still. Aviary was fun, I'll share pictures later. Heading back out for my coffee then lunch.

It's taking all my willpower but I'm skipping breakfast and heading out now to take in Colombia.

My mom found a duck. It's 3-1 I'm losing my lead. Crew drills this morning which thankfully did not come into the room, but it was a little unnerving to walk out and hear bravo bravo bravo control room switch board 😱. Since the crew were going about their business I figured it was a drill. I confirmed that still when I saw my mom 😆

I've got the mattress topper now. That helps some. The pillows are still the same old ones but I did ask for different ones. It isn't the most comfortable bed by a long shot, but it will do.

It was very good. I am not sure I could eat 400 servings but I would sure try. That sounds good, and healthy too.

Good morning from Cartagena. I suspect it is going to be a hot one today as our waiter last night reminded us to stay hydrated and the Celebrity Today also has heat advisories. We probably won't stay out too long, just want to try and get a look at the orange squirrel and other animals.

Been watching TV. It's a struggle to find anything worthwhile. Going to bed now. Tomorrow we will reach Cartagena where we will stay until 3pm the next day. Looking forward to visiting the aviary and being on a stationary ship for a while 😆. Good night everyone.

I was falling asleep at dinner. I might be turning in early tonight, this rocking is making my bed sound real nice right now.

I've always thought if they could just get tje pork to stay moist, that dosh would be perfect. It's always been dried out. Not tonight and it was indeed very very good. Small portion though. Short rib was good, although not amazing like many short ribs I've tried. The vegetables paired with it were odd and did not really go with it though the polenta was very nice. Dessert menu.
