  1. Yes and final pymt approaching very soon for 25+ day cruises for November cruises as well.
  2. What happens if they stop boarding pretesting and you have 100’s out of say 3000 guests that become positive? How will medical handle that? They could be overwhelmed. Where would they quarantine/isolate? In their own cabins? Would you only quarantine if you were really sick? Is this the honor system? Otherwise, would you be able to go freely around the ship and infect others? What about the crew? There is already a crew shortage on the ships. How would room service handle a surge? At the present time, with the highly contagious Omicron, I see a non tested ship as a possible wildfire spreading covid. Sure, if you’re on a 7 day, you may get it when you get off or when you get home. But, what about the longer cruises? 10+ days, 30 days, world cruises? That could really be a mess. There is so much to consider before changing the rules and I am glad that Princess is taking it cautiously and following the CDC cruise ship guidance. JMHO
  3. You mean $340 not $380? Under a dollar cashout? maybe others can advise.
  4. It would be nice if they would update their blackout dates on their website. If someone requests a booking… would you please ask them if they would no that? Helpful for everyone. TIA
  5. That IS covered under PVP, at least for now. If you made final pymt and bought PVP, then it should be covered. It also covers trip interruption, which is a biggie right now.
  6. I searched the CCL owned lines, and could not find an extension of these policies, except HAL.
  7. Yes it is. Or, in the case of cruiselines that operate in and out of US waters, which of course includes Princess, it’s based on the CDC cruise ship guidance.
  8. Did you mask up on your way home, if you flew, knowing you didn’t feel well?
  9. So, instead of testing, you think that they could simply do a health screening? Pre covid we had health questions to fill out, as we do today on the App. The problem is that a lot of folks lie just to get on, even if sick. How would they do a simple health screening? TIA
  10. I almost did, but backed out. Too short 14 day, I think. We wanted to do a b2b but it wouldn’t work. To make it worth it due to flights, hotels, etc we like to do longer cruises. Oh well… Maybe next time.
  11. These programs on Princess show they are valid on voyages through Sep 30, 2022. Some cruise lines have extended their programs through Dec. 31, 2022. But, I don’t show Princess has done that. Has anyone heard what Princess is going to do? Just let it expire? If it does expire, then whatever insurance you have purchased will kick in, if needed?
  12. It was launched however in 2019 and due to covid it’s maiden voyage was 2021. It’s been in the water for 3 years, so it’s time for dry dock. By law, cruise ships are required to dry dock at least every three years. However, some cruise lines periodically dry dock their ships in order to carry out improvements and in some cases, complete refurbishments.
  13. See what you started? Lol We had a cheap discount offer similar to this for August. It was a discount casino rate and $99 OBC pp. We don’t gamble much either.
  14. App Travel checklist Personal information and documents Move down… Suggested Arrival and Departure groups
  15. Group 1 (one) 1100-1130 am
  16. Yep…my daughter just got back from RCCL and said people were coughing up lungs…all over the ship. No masks hardly at all. They all had recently had covid and maybe that kept them from getting it on the ship. Some were quarantined, but no one would tell the amount. If they start to quarantine in their own cabins, like they do for other viruses, then they can open up the quarantine decks to sell cabins.
  17. Look at hotels dot com or booking dot com Just search for Ft Lauderdale airport cruiseport all are close by. You can filter and search easily and check rates. Then, just Uber/Lyft next day to port. Rates really vary. You can slso use the Map on the site.
  18. You must be special. Maybe a deal or casino discount rate for you? Hmmm
  19. Sailing from the US, up to date… fully vaccinated and boosted… yes, 3 days before is fine. Sailing on Sunday ..you can test on Thursday. Have a great trip!
  20. They are sick enough to come to the hospital? 😳
  21. Correct. I believe this is for future implementation. IT department told me it is supposed to change prior to boarding. I’ve heard some say it changed after they checked in at the port, others say it did not change. So, I tell people all the time, don’t stress over it, just show your documents at the port. No big deal.
