Thanks so much for this review! Today I'm officially 90 Days out can finally book the "fun" stuff for my first cruise ever! :)
I do have a question - is the Supper Club offered more than one night? I'm trying to book that online today and it's only showing 1 night available. It also wants to book my husband as a child -- but that's another issue, lol.
I thought that it was kind of crappy that one of the pools was adult-only until 5pm since adults also have their own pool in Spice H20. That being said, it didn't bother me that much.
Actually, Spice H2O has the Grotto (misting type water feature) and hot tub, but no pool. That would be nice though! Like you before your cruise, I'm nervous about finding a quiet place after all the reviews on Escape's pool area. We're hoping for Vibe but certainly can't count on on it. No pool there, either but looks to be more laid back.
Thanks again for taking time to post your review!

I had called my PCC last month to talk about the possibility of moving from midship mini-suite to aft balcony. Was only investigating deck 14 at the time and was told the balcony would actually be smaller (32 sf) than the one I had (44 sf)...neither large enough for 2 lounge chairs. I can't say if that would apply to all aft balcony cabins on that deck so it's probably best to call and make sure you get what you want.

Can anyone tell me when the Jost excursion opened up for booking? I'm going in November and it still isn't there!!! I'm panicking.
90 days out once you're paid in full. I'm waiting for it to open for my October cruise as well.

Looking forward to this! Glad I lucked into choosing the cruise of a lifetime for my very first cruise experience :) Great video!

Enjoyed reading your review. Thanks for posting. Sounds like you had a great time. I expect I would follow a very similar itinerary and looking forward to it in October :)

I'll be on my first cruise this October and after much research, The Waterfront is THE reason I booked with Norwegian.

Great review! Really appreciate the detail, pics & videos. Thanks for taking time to post.

Jost Van Dyke is on my list! Thanks for posting the pictures and video clip from there. Did you go through ship excursion? I'm wondering what time you got back to port. We'd like to have time for a little shopping afterwards.

I'm a first time cruiser with a mid-ship mini-suite booked for October. I called my PCC to ask about the possibility of switching to an Aft Balcony (not angled, just standard) and it turns out both the room and balcony are smaller SF than what I have already booked. So I'm a little torn. I've heard wonderful things about Aft Balconies.... is the view that much nicer to sacrifice the square footage (and bath)?
Current cabin is 207 sf and balcony 44; the Aft Cabin would be 175 sf and 32 sf balcony.
What do those who've experience both think? TIA.

My Escape cruise isn't until October so I'm hanging on every word. Looking forward to more :)

Fabulous review! Thanks so much for taking the time to be so thorough. It's definitely made me more excited for my first cruise this October!

Thanks, we'll be on the Escape this Saturday and it's my first cruise. I've been wondering what to expect.
I hope you'll post your thoughts when you return... Our first cruise is on the Escape in October.
Hope you have a great time!

So what does a cigar smoker do in Nassau (we have been in Nassau many times)?
We walked to visit the historic Graycliff Hotel. (http://www.graycliff.com) The hotel is easy walking distance from the port (1/2 mile). Very interesting Hotel with Cigar factory (cigars from $7.95 to $29.95 each). The cigar rolling room was an interesting free tour.
Up next...CC Meet and Greet...
Brad
Thanks for this - we will definitely make it one of our stops as DH would enjoy the visit.
Also, very glad to hear NCL seems to be paying attention to CC reviews. Gives me hope they'll work out the volume levels before my cruise in October. What was your take on that? Did you find the music throughout to be too loud? I do have my earplugs ready if needed, lol.

Yeah and hopefully having at least ONE of the libations on my list! :)
Ah yes, the list! I snagged this earlier from one of your posts. Looking forward to trying one or several :)
STAR TREK FAN!!!! (pointing at you then back at myself!!) Love the screen name!!LOL. Thanks! It IS a ship after all...just another type. And what better place to be than the Ten Forward lounge?? ;)
Captain’s Log, Stardate 20160511.1, SupplementalLMAO!! Fabulous review. Your humor is well appreciated!

Very helpful, thank you!

Thanks for the replies! We're in a mini-suite now and this sounds like a good compromise for us as I don't think we want to pay the $$ for a Spa Cabin. I'll look to book online as soon as it's available to me.

Currently pouring rain in St Thomas. That almost sideways rain

:( Did you have any excursions planned? On the bright side, at least you're in the Caribbean with (I'm guessing) a drink in your hand ;)

We bought the Thermal Pass online in advance for $199 per person.
I am thinking of doing this for me and DH... I'd rather buy a Day Pass (or two) but if they're only available on port days then it's not a good fit for us.
Does that pass you give unlimited use for the week? I know it's just the Thermal Spa (not the pool), but does that include the saunas, snow room, salt room, etc.? Mainly, we'll just be hoping to find a little solitude and relaxation.
Thanks in advance.

Enjoying your review...it's making me excited for my cruise! Thanks for taking time to post.

How does someone get the hole punched in their keycard for the lanyard -- is this something guest services will do or do you experienced cruisers bring a punch? Lanyards were on sale today so I've already purchased :)

Just so happened to read the this post yesterday http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showpost.php?p=49829682&postcount=1 Apparently they only release 30% of the reservations for online booking, leaving 70% for booking once you board.

Good to know! Thanks
-
I do hope they get the sound level figured out before my cruise. I've seen several complaints (not just in this thread). But...I already have earplugs on my packing list so hopefully they'll dull it enough to stay out and enjoy party :)
and thanks for posting your thoughts!

If it sleeps 4 there should be a pull down bunk over the sofa. I think it's hidden so not obvious.

I had been wondering about this too as it's the only excursion we're planning during this cruise...
I just spoke with the Shore Excursions Desk and she said not all of their Fall Excursions are showing yet (even though within 90 days of Sailing) but it should be on the website soon for booking. I asked if she could confirm that it's still being offered and she said yes. Yay! :)
