  1. Do you know when it will happen? My TA is with us on the ship right now and she promotes 2 other cruises on Mariner, one in December 2024 and one in Spring 2025.
  2. Hello, I am sorry to report that the toilet system does not work on Regent Mariner. We started our cruise in Miami Dec 2, 2023. The floor in the bathroom had water on it and the toilet did not flush. Since, every day we had this problem. Today, Dec 7, we have the problem in our “suite” #761 but the problem exists on public toilet on 11th floor at the Veranda, on the 6th floor, public toilet next to Horizon lounge and on 6th floor, Public toilet next to the theater. We were told at the reception that the problem is across the ship. We met other guests from deck 10, they had the problem. This ship has a serious problem. In our 43 previous cruises, it is the first time we have such problems. This is our first time with Regent, this is not a good experience. Because of the Covid, we stopped cruising for 3 years. Since December 2022, we were on Celebrity, Seabourn and Crystal. we will stay with these other company or maybe go on a more recent Regent ship.
  3. Hello History&Wine, 5% was given to you in February, my Crystal travel consultant also would have given me a 5% discount but she made me understand that I would have to book before May 31, 2023. Will this program continue after May 31? It will depend - are their bookings going well? Or will they have to increase their offer to convince many cruisers to come back. Like Silversea is offering 20% discount (to new or repeater customers) on some of their itineraries until May 31.
  4. Hello, Cruisr wrote at the beginning of this forum: ‘Past guests savings will be doubled to 5%.’ are you sure? my Crystal consultant told me that the 5% was an offer if you book before May 31, 2023. Therefore I understand that it is not the 2 1/2% we used to have with the OC if you paid 6 months in advance.
  5. Hello, after a phone call by a NC travel consultant, I did an exercise to try if I should book a NC cruise to take advantage of their Exceptional Initiative. Here is the result. On a 16 days cruise, I compare NC and Silversea Nova (new ship compare to NC Serenity). Both cruises were in same part of the world, same time of the year (first 3 months of 2024]. I will have to spend an additional $4192 Canadian dollar on that cruise to get back $740 Canadian dollar. I will go with Silversea. I am still looking for a good deal with NC!

  7. A15Hello, for your info. My husband and I are both Crystal Society members and he received the email yesterday plus he received a phone call from a Crystal Cruise Consultant. I did not receive the email and no phone call. After a discussion with the Crystal consultant, We understand that Destination fees are included in the price mentioned on NC website. As an example, the price for a cruise Reykjavik to Quebec City is $7900 Canadian dollar, there is $1000 can included for destination fees, which is a15.5% of the original price $6900. Also, a 5% Discount will be applied if you are a Crystal Society member and you book before May 31, 2023. Be aware that the 5% discount will be applied only on the cruise price not on the destination fees. Therefore in my example, the 5% is applied on $6900. We find this a bit too much!
  8. Hello, NOBU is back on Crystal Ships! When Crystal Serenity and Crystal Symphony set sail for their inaugural seasons later this year, guests will be pleased to find UMI UMA by Nobu Matsuhisa Restaurant and Sushi Bar is back as well, the cruise line announced today (March 15, 2023).
  9. Very good! Nobu is back on Symphony & Serenity! welcome !
  10. Hello, the process to check more than 11000 claims by Moeker & ass. is going well. Have a look to this site https://crystalcruiseclaims.com/legal-pleadings/ there are already 8 lists of Objection to claims. The reason being that claimant has been compensated in full by credit card company.
  11. Hello Crystal fans, I would like to point out that this NC initiatives is not the first in the industry. In July 2022, Andrea Zelinsky, wrote in Travel Weekly about Royal Carribean initiative. Here is the info. Royal Caribbean Group will honor Crystal Endeavor deposits. Royal Caribbean Group is offering to protect deposits of guests who were originally booked on the Crystal Endeavor, if they make a new booking on Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises or Silversea Cruises. Royal Caribbean is acquiring the Endeavor for Silversea Cruises and renaming the ship the Silver Endeavour. The ship last sailed for Crystal Cruises, which ceased operating last February. "Delivering the best vacations in the world, responsibly, is Royal Caribbean Group's purpose," said Royal Caribbean Group CEO Jason Liberty. "While our acquisition only covers the physical vessel, we want all of our guests to know we go above and beyond to take care of them. We believe those Crystal guests will receive back their deposits, but we want to give them added assurance." According to Royal Caribbean, "To the extent the Crystal Endeavor guests do not receive their deposits back from Crystal or other sources, the Royal Caribbean Group will refund any amount paid on their new booking up to the amount of their lost deposits from Crystal." Have a great day!
