One of us is missing something. This thread is about price drops in Retreat cabins.

There are 0 sky suites, 7 Sunset Sky Suites and 5 Aqua Sky Suites available for your sailing. A sky suite guarantee fare would be a good gamble right now. Hard to imagine the current guarantee fare is "a lot higher" than what you paid given this chart.

My first YC sailing is next week and I received this email a couple days ago. While I fully expect none of the requests to be communicated to onboard staff, I found it helpful to know what options are available to me. In other words, selecting my preferences was not a completely wasted effort as a newbie.

I cannot ever recall even meeting a Retreat Manager. That said, I've had great Retreat Concierges, so never had any need to elevate any concerns. My first MSC YC experience begins on Sunday. I'm pretty pumped to try something new. I'll probably use this thread to post occasional comparisons. I don't expect to be posting a "Live from..." thread.

1) Complimentary specialties are only for Royal and Penthouse suites 2) No coffee maker in sky suites 3) Yes to all. Drinks up to $17 are included in your package. 4) Don't know about Infinity particularly but other M-class were fine 5) No complimentary laundry for sky suites.

Retreat class can arrive any time.

Imagine that, MSC referring to these cabins as exactly what they are. What a novel concept.

TBH, it's not good in the USA either. The benefits are inferior even to simple cash back credit cards.

They didn’t really wear 2 hats, they just got a new name. It was all smoke and mirrors. As far as I can tell, Retreat Hosts didn’t do any more than what they did as stateroom attendants for rooms outside the Retreat.

Yes to all and you also get wifi as 2 devices per person is an upper suite amenity.

These are 2 different people. Are you referring to the stateroom attendant (aka Retreat Host) or the head butler or both?

This one butler to 30 sky suites is the current "Retreat Team" concept that Celebrity went to in August of last year which is now being rolled back. I suspect the ratio of 1:30 is even worse on S- and E- class ships.

That's 1 butler for all of the Sky Suites.

You may or may not have a butler. It depends on how quickly they rehire/retrain new ones.

There was cookiegate last year. And supposedly they're in the process of walking back the "Retreat Team" concept.

Via phone from your stateroom and I think they might have a station near guest services with limited hours.

Since when does Europe include "drink packages, refundable deposits..." as you wrote? Regent and Silversea are truly all inclusive lux lines, so there's only two prices. With air or without. Try calling Regent and ask them to quote price without drinks, wifi, and excursions and get back to me. I never wrote that and it's completely unfair of you to infer that from what I wrote. You're totally out of line. Mandatory charges (taxes, port fees) should be clear. What I find foolish is your suggestion that the main display price should include things like drink packages, etc.

So advertise the highest possible price on the top line? You clearly didn't take Marketing 101.
