Most reports I have seen indicated if it was available it was on the 4th day, but obviously this can vary from cruise to cruise.

In response to this, I just signed into my cruise planner and miraculously the deluxe drinks package is showing up as purchased. We originally paid for the premium package and that never showed up on the cruise planner, only on travel agent invoice, but Im delighted to see the deluxe package now showing up on our booking :D so they are definitely upgrading premium to deluxe at no extra charge
As I've said elsewhere it's not really an "upgrade" as far as price since I believe the undiscounted price of the premium was $57 a day and the undiscounted price of the new Deluxe is $55. But an upgrade in what you get with the package indeed.

I asked this on another form, but does anyone know which days are the formal nights? The itinerary is a little different than most eastern routes, so looking at past compasses hasn't worked also if you have any other information that might be useful, please share

Just guessing here (and am going to be there with you) but should be night 2 and either night 5 or 6, I would bet on 6 since it is a sea day.

Not saying it doesn't happen, but issuing a refund to a card for a change in port fees prior to sailing doesn't make sense because those fees could go up again before the sailing.

Is there any difference between the former Ultimate package and the new Deluxe package other than the inclusion of Starbucks? The Ultimate and Deluxe are the same price for my sailing so I'm thinking of cancelling the Ultimate and booking the Deluxe rather than waiting for Royal to make the change (I like certainty). I don't know if any downsides have been raised. If this has already been covered in this thread then sorry (but still want to know the answer).
Possibly some fluctuation in the drink price cap with the new package. Someone in a Periscope recently (maybe 2-3 weeks ago) showed the sheet for the drink package and it indicated a $13 cap on drink price (which was an increase from recent cruises). This package has it back at $12. But then maybe that cruise was a test to see what that change would do to the bottom line before they officially rolled out these new packages.

When I pre-ordered my drink package for our last Allure sailing, and then changed it to the soda package, the credit showed the next day on line on our credit card.
It obviously varies a lot and you have to stay on top of it. I cancelled an internet package to change to one for more devices. After the refund didn't show up for a couple of weeks I wrote an email. A couple of days later they replied and said they didn't know what happened and the refund would be issued in 3-5 business days. It did show up 4-5 days later. So, with some prodding from me, my refund came in about three weeks.

Haven't tried to, will buy it at Starbucks when I'm onboard.

I wonder what the statement means regarding the non-coffee items at Starbucks? I realize that only drinks would be included but must they be coffee based? Can they be tea or juice based (eg very berry hibiscus) or smoothies, etc?
7. For the Deluxe and Refreshment packages that offer premium coffee, does this include Starbucks?

And is it unlimited or so many per cruise?
Actually the way I took that is that you didn't get things like mugs, bags of ground coffee (although that isn't non coffee merchandise lol), etc. But who knows at this point. It could (and I bet will be) limited like the coffee card which won't get you frappuccinos. Possibly limited to tall and grande like the card too. I won't have a package that includes this but I will certainly ask when I'm on Allure in a week and a half.

Hoping somebody can help me.
While the old packages were available still yesterday (before US ticked over to 6/9) I quickly called RCI 1800 number and booked 3 x premium packages (were planning to originally buy 2 x premium and 1 x ultimate until I read of the new package upgrades).
Anyway, all 3 packages worked out to be $69 a day AUD which apparently included a 20% off discount??
I have logged in today to see the new packages and the ultimate is the same price ($69 a day including 20% discount)??? How does that work??? I thought the premium was being upgraded to the deluxe "at no extra cost". It seems like no extra cost because they're the same price?
Basically they combined the Premium and Ultimate into one package (and deleted the Select) and priced it at the Premium price. So buying the Premium before the change doesn't really get you an "upgrade" but if you purchased the Ultimate you might want to check into cancelling that and buying the new Deluxe. Might save you a few dollars.

Do what I just did. I added the Premium Package today at $388pp and you will automatically upgraded to the Deluxe package when on board.
Unless your price was a typo you probably want to cancel again and buy the new Deluxe Package. The current (discounted) price of the Deluxe is $46 day. For seven days with 18% gratuities added you would pay $379.96

I don't see the 20% off continuing with these new packages.
My theory has been the dynamic pricing and 20% has been testing the waters for the ideal price point.
Most likely. I had already read rumors here that the 20% would be ending this month.

Ok, I'm confused. Now I'm not going to get any of these packages but was just doing the math....well, because I'm working night shift on a very very slow night and I'm very bored. Correct me if my math is wrong.
The NEW Deluxe Beverage Package is $55 a day. If they continue the 20% discount that will make the cost of that $44 a day. (if they don't continue the 20% offer then all this math changes greatly)
The CURRENT discounted Premium package (that upgrades to Deluxe) is $44 a day, so that is a wash.
The CURRENT discounted Ultimate Package is $49 a day, so if you keep that you will be paying $5 a day more than if you bought the new package.
So, it seems to me that buying the Premium before the change doesn't get you a free "upgrade" but staying with the current Ultimate will get you a free "downgrade" of sorts.
Again...I'm at the end of a 12 hour night shift and am very tired so maybe my brain isn't working right, but that's what I see.
Now if the 20% offer ends tomorrow also then either of the "old packages" will save you over the new package, the Premium will just save you a little bit more.

Really had nothing to do with a short transfer from cruise ship to a flight, but after my last cruise (different port, different airport, and the day after my cruise returned) I arrived at the airport well over an hour before my flight (I'm spoiled flying out of Burbank Airport where you can still usually arrive 20 minutes before your flight and have no problems at all), and got onto the plane after the ramp doors closed and they had called my name on the PA a couple of times. What happened? Well, besides the long TSA lines, I also had several busloads of High School band members arrive about one minute before me. All that to say that even with all of your perfect planning you just never know when something like that will happen. I think I'll leave about 10 minutes earlier next time lol

I was a visitor on the Queen Mary in NYC several times in the 60"s, but they don't do that anymore! Sorry!
Well, actually the Queen Mary still does since it's now a floating hotel in Long Beach. :D
