  1. Yup me too. I have a friend that looks over a menu for an hour and changes her mind 6 times before the server comes over. I just can't.
  2. I agree. It takes a while so I wouldn’t book any later than 12. I think I ate there 3 times for lunch on my recent cruise. Two times were at least 1.5 hours. The other was just over an hour. I’m not one to mull over the menu for an hour so if you are add more time.
  3. They seem to have a lot of them on the koningsdam. I think I have three now. I left one behind because I need to stop bringing more stuff into my house. They are lovely bags though.
  4. Here is a link. Gold is the one after your first cruise is complete. https://www.princess.com/cruise-tips-vacation-ideas/cruise-destinations/cruise-tips-advice-and-information/cruise-membership-benefits.html
  5. That’s an improvement. My recent cruise said smart casual until I got on the ship. Thanks.
  6. For sure but then stop saying they will be sent out. Easy peasy.
  7. 3 times for me most recent November 2022. Don’t really care because I don’t like them. I think the tiles must have riun off with the lobster 😛🦞
  8. Please don't put jackets in the overhead bins. They are stuffed full already. I put mine inside my carry on or wear it. I think its going to depend on how long and where the cruise is. On my 2 - 7 day cruises on the konginsdam hal had completely thrown the towel in on any standard. Shorts were no problem which I had never seen happen on a cruise with hal ever and I've sailed a lot with them. If you wear a colored shirt and pants you'll be more than fine.
  9. I don’t think that’s a given. For my 2 -7 day cruises I got 7 the first week but my cabana purchase was probably in there. For the second week I got 3 spend points. I never maxed out my drinks so maybe that has to do with it. The hia is part of the cruise price so it shouldn’t count as spending. I had a lot of spending on this cruise besides the hia.
  10. Thank you for the clarification. Unless things have changed in a week it’s not included. I’m thinking they were looking for a tip. There is nothing wrong with it. I enjoy the cold cloths they used to have in the cabanas. When I asked about them they said the beverage manager decides if it will be done or not. That person seems to be really busy 😛.
  11. It’s pretty limited for what I like although it’s better than the lido. The passenger load is enough to have the mdr open.
  12. Thanks, that does make sense in the case for a non refundable fare.
  13. Speaking for the koningsdam it didn’t appear that they did at lunch. I only had one app and a main but the guy next to ordered 3 apps and a main. Nothing was said about an extra charge but of course I didn’t see his bill either.
  14. While I can see it happening for longer cruises and possibly those out of the USA the horse is out of the barn now and I can’t see them going back.
  15. You do realize the person you quoted say you can’t reserve?
  16. Maybe. I'm curious how one gets a new beverage manager mid cruise. I suspect this was the cabana stewards idea maybe to increase tips. I've been asked if I wanted an extra bottle of water on top of the 2. Usually 2 a day works because I like some in the room too.
  17. Not really understanding what you are saying. They could always get you whatever you want as long as you give them your cruise card to charge. I see no benefit for them doing it free of charge because it’s going to need to be changed somewhere.
  18. Same thing happened on my cruise. People coughing up a lung, even admitted that they were sick but didn’t care. This is why I wear a mask except when eating or drinking. I got on an elevator and in the short ride twice this jerk said to me “you are scaring people with that mask”. Right. People were “scaring me” not acting like responsible adults and coughing up a storm all over the ship.
  19. I don’t blame you. If that was my experience I wouldn’t do it either. The less people that want to experience club orange the better. It’s way overused already.
  20. Well that sucks. I haven't had that issue thankfully. I could understand if it's a non refundable fare but otherwise not so much.
  21. If I have used a future cruise deposit and canceled before final I've gotten it back or are you talking after final in the case of a last minute cancelation? Thanks.
  22. I'm hoping so. I remember a person on cruise critic saying on a sailing maybe a week or two before mine that they felt club orange was oversold because it was crazy busy. That should have been normal. That had never been my experience so it was hard to fathom. Well I got to see first hand what it was like but the first week wasn't like that so I have hope.
  23. I am an early riser too. I just like to be too lazy so that doesn't help. In the past I haven't had much of a wait in the morning. It's been non existent at night even though I don't eat there much at night. I've really enjoyed it in the past so this was a jolt to the system.
  24. No, it's not possible to reserve a table. This came from from the mouth of the person I call the hostess. Not sure if that is the proper title. The first week of my cruise it was reasonable at night. I went there around 6 and it was no problem. The second week I went at 5:40 and it was jammed already. I saw the hostess all over the ship. She worked in the pinnacle and also the Lido. We chatted when I was in the Lido and we talked about how busy club orange was. She would tell me the numbers that went through there normally and how many they were going through nightly and it was a lot more. I didn't keep notes so I can't say what they are now. It was clear that crew were feeling the pinch without outing anyone. In the morning of the second week I had one day when I waited a half hour to be seated for breakfast around 8:30 after waiting a half hour for my coffee in the explorations Cafe. The first week i maybe waited 10 minutes one day. I really hope hal puts a cap on club orange but I'm wondering. It didn't appear to be the case on the Nov 19 sailing.
