  1. Just pop along the high street to Boots and look for flight socks, or sometimes called travel socks. https://www.boots.com/health-pharmacy/travel-health/flight-socks?paging.index=0&paging.size=14&sortBy=mostRelevant&criteria.category=health+~+pharmacy---travel+health---flight+socks
  2. We had a missed port claim back in September with Admiral. They took about two weeks also. It was very easy and the communication was clear and timely, I started the process online and then received follow up phone calls from Admiral to advise me on the progress of the claim.
  3. The porterhouse on Prima back in September was excellent. Couldn’t say the same for the service. They snatched my plate away virtually as I put down my knife and fork, before my wife had finished eating her fillet. I thought it quite rude, my wife on the other hand though it a crime worthy of having the waiter flogged against a hatch cover at Captains Mast (article 15 I believe for our transatlantic chums).
  4. We always use Boots anti viral foam, it has anti viral and anti bacterial ingredients. Seems to be kind to our delicate office hands as well.
  5. If we want to touch anything like a handrail or lift button then elbows are good, if elbows are too big then we use the little finger knuckle on the left hand.
  6. Or be a nerd like me and log it all into a spreadsheet each evening, much to my wife’s amusement/disgust/despair.
  7. We were in cabin 14100. The only noises we encountered were the wind occasionally whistling through a door seal on the balcony, and the door to the bridge area in the corridor outside slamming at all hours, but not frequently.
  8. I will let my beloved know about the book! Thanks for the info.
  9. I just mentioned to my wife that Gervase Phinn is on Aurora, and now I am in trouble for not booking us on it……
  10. Lol, very droll 😁 I was once in the latter end of a very delayed queue for a flight and was getting a little huffy. There was a very well dressed and well spoken gentleman behind me who just said quietly with a smile “we people at the back of the queue are the most important, all those other people in front cannot fly until we are seated!”. I always think of him when I am getting impatient in a queue for boarding any form of transport.
  11. This seems common practice over many airlines even when booked directly, unless you wait until 48 hours (from memory, which may be defective) before departure. I must say that £45 is a bit steep though. I think we paid £18 each to select seats on a BA flight to Bucharest earlier this year.
  12. There were biscuits and gravy in the MDR and buffet on Prima in September, but not a hash brown to be found.
  13. Back in the mists of the 2010’s we saw a comedian on Azura that I remembered from the TV show “The Comedians” back in the 70’s. Turns out I remembered all his material as well. He had certainly aged better than his jokes. I believe it was Roy Walker, but cannot be certain.
  14. We were on the same cruise. I never found a decent margarita anywhere, but the old fashioneds in the Whisky Bar were very good. Coming from P&O experience it seemed strange that most bars were glorified corridors rather than specific rooms, that’s only a small complaint though. As first time NCL cruisers we loved the ship and the atmosphere on board. I had some great conversations with people from many countries.
  15. Yes there is a desk in the theatre on embarkation day. There was also desk on either deck 7 or 8 in the atrium. You can make reservations on your app or via your TV in the cabin. I don’t think you can make changes via the app or TV though.
  16. I am on Prima at the moment. When I booked this cruise I tried to pay online but my credit card was refused. I phoned in and paid using the same credit card no problem. Couple of weeks later I booked some shore excursions, same problem. Difference is this time I paid for the excursions over the phone, received an email confirmation that I had paid and no balance was due. My online account on the website and the app continued to show payment due for the excursions until I checked in. At that point it all went to show no payment due. As a first time NCL customer it was frustrating. I hate being told I owe money when I don’t.
  17. I am 59 and love having a kindle, I find it very convenient as I read a lot. My youngest daughter is 27 and refuses to have one as she likes to hold a physical book. Kids eh!!!
  18. No, we are on just the one cruise with nothing else booked with NCL. I can forgive them though as we are having a lovely time 😁
  19. So I am sitting in the Local Bar and Grill on Prima, a week into our two week cruise, enjoying a breakfast beer. Perusing my emails I see that NCL have contacted me this morning about getting ready for my upcoming cruise! Do they have no control over their email system, with the non stop safety videos and all? Never mind, the beer is cold and my Reuben sandwich will be along any second.
  20. I hope you have left the ship clean and tidy, we are just about to leave the house for the journey to Southampton. Do I need to bring my own hash browns?
  21. I printed mine in colour and then covered them in clear parcel tape to reinforce them and protect them from the British weather. You have to remember to write on your name and phone number before applying the parcel tape. Ask me how I know 😂
  22. Too many watches!!!!! 😮😧😲 I am staggered at such a statement, there is no such thing…….unless you ask my wife that is.
  23. Thanks, I will ask the cabin steward once on board.
  24. Hi All, anybody been on Prima that can tell me if we get a coffee maker in a balcony cabin please. If not can we ask for one? Need my caffeine to get going in the morning! Thanks.
