I don't think any sailing on the Legend are posted until mid November.

So the gaping hole (other than Alaska), is the Legend Euro sailings.  I was expecting that to fall today, I could go out and look, but  when was the Legend going to New York in advance of the cruise to Europe, anybody remember?

I know the Legend was doing a 9 day from New York on May 25 and that is showing anymore.

    Mardi Gras isn't either.

I think the Mardi Gras is being delayed because of construction issues.  Maybe with other ships not sailing they are planning as using as hospitals for those who have the virus.  I know they had offered the US government use of their ships.

Yeah I just posted a question about the same time you posted yours...What do you think?

For some reason I think her sailing are going to be canceled.  I don't know why only a few of their ships are not showing any availability  until later in the year. You would think they all would if this is due to the virus.

  5. We aren't booked until September but I have a feeling that things are not going to be okay by then.  I am able to rebook for a different date but I'm hearing of people having to put another deposit down instead of being able to use the money they already have as a deposit.  Why would I want to give them any more money at this time?  If I wait too much longer to make a decision I'll have to pay my cruise in full.  You have to pay in full so far in advance that you risk loosing if the cruise is canceled.  They will then let you rebook but you are kind of in a situation where you have to commit to book another cruise.  What if things in the cruise industry changes so drastically that a cruise no longer appeals to you?

My sister is booked on the Mardi Gras for next February and she said she thinks the sailing is not going to happen, because it's no longer showing it listed on Carnival's site.  People are saying it must be sold out, however Carnival's site isn't showing any cruises available on the Mardi Gras until late March 2021.  I personally think there is a great possibility that the ship may be delayed again and that is why they aren't showing any available cruises for those dates.

I love cruising and I love Carnival, however I don't think cruising is going to be the same after this.  There has already been so many cutbacks over the last few years that has had a negative effect on the cruise industry.  How many more cutbacks before we are no longer satisfied with cruises.

  6. I had 25% off FCC because I was booked on the Mardi Gras cruise which was canceled by Carnival.  I used my credit on another cruise which I may want to change the date because of the Corona Virus.  Carnival is allowing us to rebook a different cruise but I'm not sure what happens to the credit.  I asked my TA but she doesn't really have an answers because she said she has been unable to get in touch with Carnival.

So my cruise is September, so far $50 drop total, but i am seeing more cabin's opening up such as Aft Balconies and suites. I am sure once we get closer they will drop a bit more not much though. The only thing i can see dropping a lot would be the suites.

Ours is also in September, on the Horizon.  We are in a Grand Suite.  None left on that sailing.  I've been checking for the end of May (suites) on the Sunrise and so far no price drops.

The most possible separation possible would have been to put all 14 on the same plane, totally separated from the passengers on the other plane.

By dividing the 14 confirmed infected passengers between two planes, they risked exposure to all the other passengers on both planes.

I would think that if you are infected in a cabin with your spouse, they remove you from the cabin, wouldn't your spouse have to start their 14 day quarantine all over again.

As for the couple from the US, who had posted on Facebook, there seems no common sense.
This is what I got out of the whole situation.

    1) They had the divider open on the balcony so they could 'hangout' with their friends in the cabin next to them.

    2) The wife, posted a video on Facebook of herself walking all over the cabin and balcony bragging about spending time with her friend.

    3) Her friend tests positive and is taken off the ship.

    4) Shortly after that The US sends 2 planes to bring the Americans home.

    5) I see her interviewed on a news station and she said,  "they made up a lie, and said their tests came back negative", this was so they could board the plane.

    6) A couple of hours into the flight her husband has a high fever.

If all of this is true, who allowed it to happen?

Her husband tested positive.  So, doesn't that mean that all those people they were in contact with on the bus and plane are at very high risk?

Alamo IMO. Their prices are competitive, and they have a location in both the airport and in Port Miami. A shuttle service is provided from drop off to cruise ship. If you complete all the online checkin steps, pick up and drop off is a breeze.

    Thanks so much!

For info, we are first time cruisers and will be sailing on the Breeze. Our luggage tags are magenta, which does not correspond to our cabin category.

The colour of the luggage tag is probably a code for the onboard luggage handlers to know where the bags go, but likely has no relevance or bearing to anything a guest would/should care about.

The color of your luggage tags are based on your deck, not category you are in.

I have used a TA for 15 years and never received any perks....no onboard credit, nothing ever waiting in the room, no urgency when I make special requests. I'm jealous of all you ppl that have great TA's. I have switched to just booking directly on Carnivals website. It's so easy and I can pick my room and my dining time.

A met a Cruise travel agent while I was in Myrtle Beach this year.  I decided to try her and book a cruise with her.  The rate I got from her was the same rate as on Carnival's site, but she gave me a $200 onboard drink credit.  She'll be sending me my luggage tags already printed out and checking for rate drops.  So far, I am very happy with her!

I'm cruising next month and I booked via a Carnival rep.  The whole booking has been a disaster.  The cruise fare went down by $500 and when I called Carnival they would not honor it because they said I booked under a special rate. When I asked 'how would I know that, because nothing on my booking says what rate I was booked under.  She told me I should have looked on the their website.  I asked her if I was booking with a Carnival rep, why would I have to go online? I have booked many cruises directly through the website and never had this problem.  Since the balance needed to be paid in a few days, I paid the entire amount when I booked.  The rep told me he could only give me late seating for dinner and I told him that wouldn't work for me because I'm diabetic.  He told me that in that case there would be not problem.  Paid for the cruise and hung up.  He called me back a few minutes later to tell me I might have to take the late seating.  When I told him that I get sick if I wait too long for dinner, he told me I could eat at the buffet or order room service!  He told me I needed my doctor to fax them a letter stating I was diabetic, my booking #, sail date, ship name and my husband's name, and they might switch my dinning.  I call my doctor right after I hung up and the office told me she wasn't in and she would do it the next day.

The next day I called Carnival back and the lady on the phone told me they had already lifted the waitlist because they received the letter from my doctor and that I had priority seating because we are in a suite.  A few hours later I get a call from my doctor's office saying they were about to fax the letter over and wanted me to confirm it was the correct information before they sent it.  So, when Carnival said they received the letter, they actually received nothing.

  12. I was on her 2 years ago.  It has been my least favorite ship.  I was excited to cruise on her because everyone seemed to love her.  My husband, sister and brother-in-law was also on this cruise and we all felt the same way.  While something is not our cup of tea, everyone what their own opinions.  We were on the Conquest a couple of years ago before she went in to be refurbished.  She needed a lot work!  Even with all the cosmetic issues, it was one of our best cruises and we would sail on her again in a heartbeat.

Don't take to heart what everyone is saying, go and have a good time!  Book some spa treatments for her onboard...and a new purse before you go will do Magic!
