We will be lucky enough to spend our day in Labadee at Barefoot beach. The cabanas seem very expensive. There is only my husband and I so I really don't want to pay that much for a cabana. I've heard that beach chairs are available. Do you think that the cabana is really necessary?

In Ft. Lauderdale they have huge ships. If the Oasis is in port or some of her sister ships, they have to change things up. It's pretty quiet right now. Maybe 3 or 4 ships at one time but in season they could have as many as 7 ships. I sailed in the Conquest 3 weeks ago and we were out of terminal 4. Hope that answers your question.

Thank you! I'm not sure which is terminal 4? The only time we've sailed out of Fort Lauderdale is many years ago on the Grand Princess and her terminal was right near where the Conquest is now.

I've noticed that the Conquest has not been docking at her normal pier in Fort Lauderdale for the past couple of weeks. Does anyone know why?

Does anyone use these anymore?

Looking for opinions and advice on hotels in Fort Lauderdale. We will be there for 2 nights. We are considering the Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina but also looking at the Hyatt Pier 66. We would like something with easy access to the water taxi, restaurants and close to the pier. Being able to see our ship port in the morning would be an added bonus!

Surely you don't pack dirty underwear for you trip TO the cruise port :p

What are the perks to booking this on the first night of the cruise?

I've heard that you are no longer allowed to lock your check in luggage. Really? Do you worry that people working at the airport will steal stuff? Do you lock your luggage before you hand it over at the port?
