We did this cruise in 2018. We posted photos and cruise blog at BillinLodi.com
Feel free to visit.

Have not been aboard since Covid, but pre-covid, if you used your room card in the slots, you did receive minimal free play back.

Thank you all for the prompt responses.

I understand that the Small Group Excursions are limited to around 12-16 passengers. My question is: Are the Small Groups taken on the excursion via the normal large bus (with plenty of room for everyone), or taken in smaller vans?

We have been on several holiday cruises...the most recent being in 2016/17. I invite you to go to my webpage at BillinLodi.com and scroll down to the "2016/2017 Voyager Pristine Pacific Rim Cruise". You can click on the photos button for that cruise (which includes Christmas and New Years parties/shows.) Clicking on the log button for that cruise will get you to my blog.

We did the cruise in 2011. My blog (with separate photo page) is at BillinLodi.com
Scroll down to the 2011 Amazon Cruise buttons.

The only thing I miss on the redesign is a map of the cruise.

Have been through the Panama Canal 4 times (last in 2013) all with Regent, and have been on the Explorer once in 2018.
I have a Cruise Blog at BillinLodi.com should you care to see.

I booked a cabin under the pool deck only once. We had rough seas overnight and the water in the pool was sloshing so much, it was banging the side of the pool. It sounded like they were dropping girders on the deck. It took them several hours before they drained the pool. If you are not cruising in possible rough waters, you would only hear them setting up the lounge chairs in the early morning.

My soda of choice for several years was Red Mountain Dew. I requested a few months out, and it was there.

I have received both refund and FCC for the canceled 3/1 cruise. Have already booked a replacement cruise in 2022. All was taken care of through my TA.

Dear Valued Guest and Travel Partner,
In an abundance of caution and as a result of the uncertainty surrounding port entry and berthing availability in various destinations in Asia, we are canceling your upcoming voyage previously scheduled to depart March 1, 2020.
Regent Seven Seas Cruises will provide a full refund of your paid fare in addition to the previously communicated 25% Future Cruise Credit. Please advise our Reservations team or your Travel Advisor that there is a credit in your name when you reserve your next Regent voyage.
In order to ensure you have received this important communication and to begin processing your refund, kindly email Regent Seven Seas Cruises at RSSCresv@rssc.com with your booking number and the subject line “Message Received”.
We are closely monitoring the coronavirus situation in China and continue to update appropriate actions as necessary. Cruise ships in the region are subject to the scrutiny of local port officials who have sporadically closed ports to cruise ships or to guests of certain nationalities. The decision to cancel this voyage, while difficult, was made to ensure the safety, security and well-being of all our guests and crew, which is our number one priority.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we manage through this evolving situation. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience of canceling your voyage, and we hope to welcome you on board another Regent Seven Seas Cruises voyage in the near future.
Sincerely,
Regent Seven Seas Cruises

My guess is that they will be using a device that connects to your phone via bluetooth, which can be used without any cell service.

Just give me a basket of "Salt Sticks" and I am a happy camper!
(If I remember correctly, pizza is also listed in the room service menu.)

As for the power portion of your question, there are only a few plugs (both US and European) in the cabin. I always either bring an extension cord, power strip, or more recently, this "Power Cube" (from Amazon). The one pictured has 4 outlets and 2 USB ports. It comes with 4 interchangeable wall plugs: US, UK, EU and AU sockets ,

We also had 3 general questions about an upcoming 2020 cruise and the Miami office said we had to go through our TA. Our TA called and was told "we have to contact the correct department and get back to you". Even after she called 3 times over 3 months, never a call back. We told our TA to give up and we would try to get the answers when we got aboard our current cruise. So the day after boarding on the Mariner, I went to the Cruise Consultant to ask him the same 3 questions. He had answers for us within 2 days. Too bad it had to take us 6 months and getting aboard a ship to get answers that Miami should have been able to answer. The Cruise Consultant apologized as he said that Miami should have known the answers and returned the calls to my TA.

We are currently in 1003 on the Mariner. Your suite will be at the end of the hallway with a door that the officers use to get to their suites and the bridge. They are very quiet using the door.
We stayed in 1002 for our South America cruise this past January/February and had no problems with "feeling the waves".
We have seen inside 1001 and it is a very nice suite. -

I’m curious. John Hook will be the CD on our next Mariner cruise. I’ve never heard of him. Any information out there?
Forgap,
John Hook is Ray Solaire's real name.
