  1. You cannot buy Celebrity insurance with the BCC free cruise. I paid for it and got a refund. I bought from a 3rd party insurer.
  2. Daily water is delivered to the room by the attendant. You cannot get it from restaurants/bars unless it is Elite hours or you have a beverage package.
  3. I think if you haven't played in more than a year, other than with the COVID extension, your tier drops back to zero.
  4. In your offer email, your tier is listed in it.
  5. Elite - 1 free dry clean item, 1 free wash and fold bag. Sky suite = none.
  6. I am still confused. I called Captains Club to buy a beverage package and they said I had to call BCC. I said I called CC to buy a WIFI package, and the person said they should not have helped me as I should have bought add-ons from BCC. Anyway, I insisted that she priced out the beverage package for me and it matched what it showed online, so I bought from the website. Would calling BCC have gotten me a better discount.
  7. I know that. Sushi grade fish is actually frozen because there is a freezing process which kills most parasites. People who catch a fish off the sea and eat them raw are not realizing the risk of parasites
  8. Maybe true for buffets, but certainly not in a restaurant like Sushi on Five where fish is kept at safe/cold temperature.
  9. We cruised alot, mainly in Sky Suites and spent a ton on shore excursions through Celebrity before COVID. We cancelled 5 cruises when COVID descended. I am a lowly Pearl, but I suspect there is underlying criteria on who gets the offers, and not random. In my case, I suspect it is their way of getting us back on a cruise again.
  10. I had dropped maybe $100 in their casino slots and received 3 offers, 2 for the Mexican Riviera and one for the Caribbean. My husband had never played in the casino and did not get any offer. We had usually stayed in Sky Suites and once in Aqua, and had 4 cruises booked for sailing during the pandemic which we cancelled, forfeiting the deposit, before they were cancelled by Celebrity. I wonder if the offers were targeting those who had cruised alot, and stopped because of the pandemic. Anyway, we booked a Mexican Riviera for March, booked and then cancelled the Holiday sailing in the Caribbean, and then booked a Holiday sailing at the Mexican Riviera when I received another offer about a week ago. We are having so much travel coming up which made us decide not to fly to Florida to get on a Caribbearn cruise. We were able to pay a little extra to upgrade to Aqua on both the cruises.
  11. You cannot pre-fill the health questionaire as you may be sick at the time of check-in, hence you will be given the form to fill when you check-in.
  12. I wouldn't pay to move to concierge. If Aqua is available, I would suggest to move the bid to Aqua class instead.
  13. I had initially paid the $58 when I paid for the upgrade. However a few days later it threw it out and I got a refund to my credit card. I went ahead and bought travel insurance through a 3rd party company.
  14. I remember seeing news about rivers in Europe drying up and many river cruises have turned into bus tours instead, despite paying huge dollars for river cruises. We are looking at Viking River cruise - 14-night France's Finest - from Paris to Avignon, in September 2023. Is it going to be problematic wrt to dried out rivers? If it is, does going in May solve the problem, presumably that they will get more water and snow in winter which would translate to water going into the rivers? September is our preferred travel month, otherwise we would have not hesitated to book in May. I have never been to France, and hence I may be asking a stupid question here, but if I don't ask, I won't know. πŸ™‚
  15. I managed to get to the place where I added gratuities. You kind of have to get to manage your reservation in different ways and after several attempts, I found the page which enabled me to edit and add gratuities. It says it is due 3 months before my cruise.
  16. I received the same email. It said to pre-pay before the sailing if you want to pay the existing rate, which means you don't need to pay before 10/17 to get the existing rate, you just need to do so before you board.
  17. I received a similar offer in email 2 days ago. I finally called this morning and that jerk on the phone said for this kind of offer you could not pay to upgrade to Aqua Class. He had a real attitude on the phone. We have a stateroom held for this cruise, Reflection on Dec 23rd, but looking at First Class airfare, we decided not to proceed with this. We already have vacation travel for 2 weeks in early Dec, 3 weeks in January, the Mexican Riviera cruise in March, 2 weeks travel in May and 5 weeks travel in July/August and lots more towards the year end. We just have too many trips lined up and we cannot justify spending another $5K+ on this cruise+air fare.
  18. My friend who lost half a million dollars in a casino had believed this as well.
  19. Maybe, on the other hand, when you keep gambling, it is for certain that you lose most of it. Casinos are designed to transfer money from players to their coffers.
  20. This reminds me of what my husband's urologist told him this week. He said a patient of his complained about needing to get up to pee all night. The urologist asked what he drank in the evening. His patient said he usually drank 8 bottles of beer just before bed time. Duh!
  21. Since you gamble thousands of dollars a day, wouldn't it be better than you use that money to pay outright for your cruise? Just saying...
  22. Fabulous meals. LOL πŸ™‚ We always wait until after final payment and then pay to upgrade to a Sky Suite when the price drops, which they often do. We love Luminae and Michaels.
  23. Yep. My favorite embarkation lunch is the seafood kabob/skewer. I order that everytime. They usually have that lunch menu again a few days later. We love Luminae.
  24. A response of " "this is a one time only exception" would piss me off big time. It reminds me of my husband's first and only purchase of an Apple iPhone. The battery of the brand new phone would totally drain by noon each day. We brought it back to an Apple store and they tried to troubleshoot but in the end gave him a replacement iPhone. It happened again and a week later we were back. They could not resolve the issue again, and the manager then said it was the very last time that they were going to replace the phone. The battery drained again on the 3rd phone and I went online and found the cause. When the mail and calendar had issue with synchronizing with the server, it would cause the battery to drain because it would continue to try to synchronize in the background. I simply deleted my husband's email account and installed it again. Problem resolved. That was the last time we would own an iPhone.
  25. I second the post above that you need to plan on arriving a day or two before the sail date.
