  1. Thanks, Gary. I'm flying out of Philly on Friday. Why would Saturday be worse?

Because Saturday is a big day for travel to Florida to catch cruises if the snow piles up in New York's airports that spells delays and maybe cancellations.

  2. I am very picky when at it comes to dietary needs and when I go on a cruise I'm just has picky but I never go hungry and the food choices are much better on CCL than they use to be. However since I eat a low sodium diet I keep away from buffet other than the salad and I don't eat read meat.

  3. I've decided to take my mom on her first cruise, but am having trouble deciding which one. I don't want to start her on a 7-day in case she doesn't like it or feels seasick. She's never really been on any boat except a speed boat or house boat.

I started out on a Fantasy class ship and loved it from the very start. I'm just not sure the smallest class ships would be as enjoyable for her? I'm just very concerned about the seasick issue.

I've narrowed it down to five different cruises. Ports don't matter as much, and I feel that most of these shorter cruises have a "meh" port combined with a better one. Ocean view rooms as I have to pay for it all myself.

    1) 4-day Victory out of Miami

    Nassau

    Half Moon Cay

    2) 4-day Victory out of Miami

    Cozumel

    Key West

    3) 4-day Liberty out of PC

    Freeport

    Princess Cays

    4) 4-day Conquest out of Fort Lauderdale

    Nassau

    Half Moon Cay

    5) 5-day Triumph out of NOLA

    Cozumel

    Progresso

  4. We personally cannot wrap our brains around pool or hot tub on the boat (or anywhere public for that matter). While on the Sunshine last October we attended the "Love and Marriage" show. One of the questions asked the 3 couples on the stage (including a newlywed couple married on the boat) was where was the last time they made whoppie. The response was "in the hot tub on the lido deck."

NOPE. THAT'S IT. NOT DOING IT. People soup is not for me. That's gross ... I don't care how many chemicals you put in the pool!

I've been on 35 cruises on CCL and I can't remember the last time I used the hot tub for the reason mentioned above besides children use those hot tubs who knows what they do while in them and the drunk adults are probably just has bad.

  5. I've been cruising with CCL since 1992 and the live bands were much better than they are now, but I was younger then and staying up to 4 o'clock in the morning several times during the week was no problem now forget it. The entertainment is decent but I do wish there more live bands that played dance music.

  6. I think the alcohol policy started with the last couple of years before that you could pick up your booze the night before debarkation but people were drinking the booze and not buying drinks from the bar that is the reason I believe CCL started the day of policy pick up. It is all about $$$$.

  7. I was thinking the same thing. I am on a few roll calls for this cruise. Lots of groups I booked it because it was after spring break and before summer. Book a while ago so hoping to see price drop some. Does not look like it is happening. It is almost sold out. This far in advance I was shocked... I also was hoping it was not completely full - I think it also have to do with the ship moving its location and all the ship swaps that took place.

I talked to my PVP he said the same thing about the ship selling so quickly but he did say that all the ships seem to be selling quickly during the spring and even into summer of 2016.

  8. I sailed on the Breeze just two weeks ago and I stayed in 6330.

This room was above the lanai hot tub and over the casino. I did not experience any issues with extremely loud noise but you could on occasion hear a muffled announcement by someone speaking over a microphone or P.A. down in the casino. The room and the deck was really quiet. I had been a bit reluctant after my wife booked this room and I found out where it was located; but I'd book it again in a heart-beat. ;)

That is good to know because I am booked in 6357 which is right around the corner from the elevators mid ship.
