If you Google insure my trip, there are many plans to chose from but emergency evacuation and medical probably are the most important.

I had open-heart surgery 21 years ago my pulmonary valve was replaced with a human valve, It took me 3 months before I could drive or lift anything heavier than a gallon of milk. listen to your doctor I would think it depends what is being done to the heart muscle. I know things that affected me after the surgery was different than before like caffeine and alcohol.
Use Carnival Express. They take your luggage to the airport. Take a cab/uber to some sites in your local port in city. Finally enjoy the day in the city you are in.
I think if you use Carnival Express then you have to use their transportation. I am not sure about this.

On Holland America they had "buy one-get one free" happy hours at least 2 different bars at 2 different times. At one bar it was around dinner time and at another it was from 9-10 pm .... so I was just curious.
Interesting too that the same bottle of Crown Royal purchased thru room service on CCL for $98 is $48 on HAL
What you said may be true but how much more is the cruise on HAL than Carnival?

I started cruising back in the nineties on Carnival at that time there were 5 man bands on the lido deck playing Caribbean music. I do not think there will never be a four man band on the lido deck maybe two.

Some nights they will have $1.00 off drinks but that is the maximum discount that I have seen lately.
You are correct $1.00 is the best discount you will get these days. Back in the old days there use to be two for one on beer but that was a long time ago when the fun ships were really the fun ships.

I just print out tags fold then and put them in my passport holder. When I get to the ship I'll give then to the porter he'll staple them to my luggage and away I go. Just do not put them on you luggage before you fly.

Do you have the fun times?

I always cruise solo and it's ridiculous I have to pay for two people. When people ask who I cruised with I tell them "I never met him/her as they were invisible, but I know they were there because I had to pay their cruise fare".
It's discrimination against single people plain and simple. Hotel rooms don't charge single hotel guests double, why do cruise lines? It's a hotel on the sea.
Simple it has to do with making money!!!!!!!!

Btw in 2016 younger kid spring break will be the weeks of march 20 and march 27 due to Easter. Of course Connecticut does their own thing in April as usual
However being the week of march 20 is quite early it will Overlap with those colleges that do the spring break on the later side as some colleges are known to do
Thus any cruise embarking on or about march 20 to march 31 2016 could be very interesting...college...high school and elementary kids...plus newbies who booked that week without a clue!! Lol
Sent from my iPhone using Forums
I am from Connecticut and I will be on the Breeze April 9,2016 which is an Eight day cruise,
so hopefully that will kept the families away because of the price.

I was on the glory from 08/22 to 09/05. I have the FunTimes of both weeks. The first week was planned to be a Eastern caribbean itinerary, but that was diverted to a Western itinerary due to a hurricane. Second week was the Western itinerary as planned.
Which FunTimes are you looking for? Eastern or Western?
The Western itinerary Fun times would be great since I will be on the October 24, 15 sailing.
Thanks

Same. Probably a little more younger kids on the summer cruises we've been on.
I agree there are younger kids during the summer then regular spring break in March or April. Personally I rather the college age kids than other ages.

I have not read all the posts but years ago there use to be bar snacks at the Bars around the ship, stuff like gold fish crackers, chips of all kinds. But Carnival stopped that because of food to hand contact, basically guests not washing their after going to the bathroom then putting their hands in a bowl of snacks. I think if you ask for snacks the bartender will give something and take it away when you leave.

Carnival stopped the all buffets years ago, especially the Grand buffet which I think was a good thing because it was a waste of food there are too many people in this country and other countries that go hungry . Even the daily buffets I see waste because people put too much food on their plate just because it is included in the cruise fare.

Does any one have the fun times for Sept. 2015?

It would be a hard choice for me as we only book mid ship cabins. IF you look on the Conquest deck plan you would see that your choices all have other cabins above and below you so that is a good thing.
We'd probably pick the Deck 7 cabins as the higher you go the more you feel the ocean.
I agree with the above post, I have chosen mid ship cabins around the elevators on deck 6 or 7 the last several cruises , for me it is close to the lido deck and the promenade deck. However my PVP told me to watch where you pick your cabin on deck 8 it may be below the lido deck.

HEY BUDDY...THANKS FOR THE CONCERN... But I am NOT trying to "bring more" than I'm supposed to. The rules state you can bring 12 cans which are 12oz each ... Total of 144oz of beverage. I will bring a max of (8) 16oz cans which is 128oz ... Which is LESS than what's allowed. And I AM planning on drinking water on board, which I am happily buying from Carnival and already ordered from the fun Shopps. I would happily pay for the monster if they sold it. Im not trying to cheat CCL out of money like these ppl who smuggle alcohol on board, i just want to drink the brand of energy drinks I like while on vacation (and if the low cal Monster Rehabs came in smaller cans i would bring the smaller sizes). And I do work out every day, in fact I have lost over 65 pounds since the beginning of this year by changing my diet and exercising. So please do not "assume" you know what's up with me and do not try to blast me for "trying to bring extra" when clearly I am not. Have a great day!
You should pat yourself on the back for losing 65 pounds which I think is a great accomplishment ,like you said this was done through diet change and exercise.
Keep up the good work!!!!!!

because in the last 2 days projected paths have gone from heading up the eastern coast of Florida and back out to sea to slamming right into northern Florida to slamming right into Miami on the south and now showing paths going up the western coast of Florida. by tomorrow we could see it missing Florida all together and going right into the gulf waters and looking at southern coastal states like Mississippi, Alabama and Louisiana .
Erika has stayed south a lot longer then most all forecasters predicted. they kept saying it was going to turn and go north way back before San Juan. It has kept its westerly march since it was named.
You are correct because on the Today show this morning the forecast track is more to the west of Florida in the Gulf towards Mississippi, Alabama or Louisiana so we'll have to see what happens.

According to the storm track Saturday looks likes it may be ok but Sunday may be a little tricky hopefully the models change. Be safe.
Gary
-
According to NOAA the storm may become hurricane Erica the track puts the hurricane hitting South Florida this weekend which is not good news for cruises ships. Hopefully wind shear would be great enough in the upper levels of the atmosphere to tear the hurricane apart and down grade it to a T.S. or less.

I've been Diamond for a few years now and nobody has shown me to my cabin and I do not expect them to show me my cabin.

Wedding/Diamond/Platinum/FTTF Boarding
in Carnival Cruise Lines
Posted
That is the way it should but that is probably not the case. I usually cruise out of Miami and the Wedding Guests first than the four other groups get to board together (2, 3,4,and 5). Since I am Diamond I do not agree with this. Sometimes I am the 50th or so to board. There are only 3-6 Diamond guests on each sailing so technically we should be on the ship right away. But if special needs guests need to board first I have no problem with that.
