They know the percentages that will historically not book. i really don't think this is a big deal.
I agree, I am okay with phasing it out.

Respectfully, but are you sure this is the place you want to teach your child about how to conduct himself on the Internet? Would you shove him into the middle of a bar full of adults to perform a political protest? Are we supposed to be impressed/moved/overwhelmed by cuteness?
This has got to be the most bizarre thing I've seen on a reliably bizarre site.
Totally agree! So crazy.

We had the corner aft on deck 7 on our last cruise and it was GREAT> It was starboard side, but can't remember the number. I have pictures, but still have issues when I try to post photos here.

ABSOLUTELY love retirement. Last year we cruised 24 times:):) and currently have plenty booked for the future…almost all of them Back2Backs.:)
Adopt me, please! :D ENJOY!

I was wondering why this thread was moved from the main board?
OP, thanks for all the information. Looking forward to boarding the Anthem in December. :D

That's funny, I just tried to get on the site and I'm getting the 'Oops' page. LOL. You have to laugh or it will drive you crazy.
I know, right, Oops, looks like Royal Caribbean is on vacation message, but pretty ocean video in the background.
OP, that happened to me several years ago. I caught in before boarding, but it turned out to be a non issue, but I do think they should tell you.

Good question! I'll try not to ramble too much. ;)
So there ya have it!
Chris
Thanks! I think you are going to have a great time! Enjoy. Also for future cruises, don't discount the smaller ships, they have the real ambiance of cruising in my opinion. Just my opinion
:-) But, the Allure is an awesome ship for sure.

Hello all,
I am a double-newbie. Just joined the board, and I just booked my first cruise (wife's first as well!). We are going to be on Allure in 2017, and I am sure I will be stopping by a lot between now and then! :)
Chris
Hey, welcome! I was just wondering what made you decide to book your first cruise? Mine was because some friends asked us if we would like to join them on a cruise they were taking back in 2005. So glad they did!
We decided that we loved the whole cruise experience that we haven't stopped since :D Hope you do, too!

Wow - have any of the port times changed? Or your debark time? This cant actually be all good says the cynic in me!
There has been some unhappiness on NCL boards due to changes that reduce time in ports..
So far, no other changes. Port time changes are okay, too, because we are staying on the ship for 2 of the 3 stops. It's all about New Years Eve for this cruise!

I have rarely received any messages from RCCL so when I got this one, I was pleased. Yay, an hour longer on any ship is a big bonus.:D
Dear Valued Guest,
We are contacting you regarding your upcoming sailing onboard the Anthem of the Seas between November 10th, 2015 and April 17th, 2017. The ship will now sail from Cape Liberty at 3:00 PM instead of the previously scheduled 4:00 PM departure. Please keep in mind that all guests will need to be checked in and onboard the ship at least 60 minutes prior to the 3:00 PM departure time. This change may also impact arrival and departure times for ports of call you may visit during your cruise vacation. Updated itineraries can be found at http://www.royalcaribbean.com. If you have more than one cruise booked during this time, you may receive more than one message. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
We look forward to welcoming you onboard Anthem of the Seas.

And, thanks! Will be following along. Sailing Anthem for New Years Eve.

We had such a great time on the ship last month and I agree, Captain Liz was everywhere. One of our favorite cruises. Would go back on this ship. Glad you had such a wonderful time, too.
Tried to post a picture of Capt. Liz and me, but did not work........

maybe this will work.

OP: This happened to me last year and it sure does sting when you see a substantial price drop and nothing can be done about it. The only way I found out was because someone mentioned it on our roll call because I never check the RCL site after I make final payment just for this reason. I just wanted to share that I feel your pain, but you have a balcony you like and a cruise you will enjoy regardless I hope. I really never thought much about it once I realized that it is what it is.......... yikes, I hate that term (but it fits here)! Have a fantastic cruise!!! :)

This is where we are bringing in the New Year. Wow, thanks for sharing! :D

Go to tripsmarter dot com and look up spring break dates. Lists spring breaks by week and college and number of students. march 16 week has 1,908,360!!!!!
Great site, thanks! April 4 is looking okay :)

Thanks for taking the time to share your experince with us. I was wondering about the sailaway party. Was there music and cruise staff starting line dances, etc? We didn't really have that on our Allure cruise and I really missed it, so hoping Vision will have the traditional fun sailaway party.

Can't wait, thanks!!! -
The escargot was in butter and garlic, every other night. On the opposite nights they had Scallops Au Gratin. It was the same as escargot only with scallops.
Ah, great news, thanks. -
Escargot every other night

Was the escargot in butter and garlic or the au gratin way? Hope for butter and garlic ;) -
The first time I see the ship I am going to board. Love that first look, just like my first cruise feeling.
-
I agree! Then throw in the drink packages that's icing on the cake that already has icing on it.
Yes, tried drink packages for the first time last April.......... great addition!
-
For me, a cruise is the total vacation package....... there's entertainment, pools, food, games, spas, casino, bars, and so much more all within walking distance. And, new places to see and experience most every day, how can you beat that? :D

Where I will be on New Years Eve! :D

When Hurricane Noel hit when we were on Explorer, I was so happy to have the patch on. Yes, it was a bit queasy still, but never got sick and there was alot of that going on. The seas were so high and it was so stormy we ended up missing two ports, but better safe than sorry.
