So sorry for your loss! My husband died in Nov of 2020 and I have been cruising solo ever since, including four transatlantics. My experience is that there were always quite a lot of solo travellers on each of these cruises, some were widowers/widows, some were leaving their partners at home for various reasons, but one thing all solos had/have in common....... everybody just loves to cruise! The above post from #leaveitallbehind is good advice. Find your roll call for the cruise you are interested in, sign up and you'll connect with other solos. Anne

I just booked a 13 night TA cruise in a veranda cabin and the price for a solo cruiser was $1577.02 versus 2 people in the same cabin for $2505.30......amazing!! Anne

They still had them on the Island Princess in May 2023 going through the Panama Canal, and there was a lot of demand for the machines, at least on the deck I was on. Anne

I have an unlimited dining package for a TA on Symphony OTS with a lot of sea days. Theoretically, if I wanted to, could I have both lunch and dinner at a specialty restaurant on the same day or is it either lunch or dinner per day? Thanks. Anne

Thanks.......I'm trying not quite there yet. Doing a b2b (total of 20 nights) in October and free laundry would come in handy. But, as someone mentioned on one of these boards: if you are paying thousands of $$ for a cruise, a bag of laundry for $45 should be a non-issue, right?! Anne

What is the CAS laundry wash n fold perk? Is that like an Elite free laundy bag wash and fold on Celebrity? Anne

Hmmm, I was on the Reflection TA this past April and the Sky Lounge was open for HH from 5pm to 7pm every day, with waiters coming around offering nice little snacks. Lots of people attended. Maybe they only offer HH on longer cruises? Anne
