  1. Traveled Dec 14, 2022 on the Mera and all the decorations were up. It was so lovely.
  2. I totally agree with you! We were on the Divina a couple of years ago when they "ran out of" Titos. Meanwhile the duty free store was STOCKED full of it but they didn't want to cross-inventory the product. As far as taking from other bars to stock up YC, yes please!
  3. Ok, we HEAR YOU and your multiple notices of wanting someone to unpack and iron for you. I'm sorry but it feels tone deaf when the YC experience is already watered down so much. (And some of us find the idea of asking a butler to unpack icky and weird and demeaning, but that's my personal opinion.) And please no champagne in the hot tub unless you have one in your suite (otherwise it's technically not allowed). As far as "emergency resupply" well that's just not how it works. OC doesn't have any extra supplies on hand - have you ever done business in the Bahamas? I have. Doesn't work like that. There are several issues, one of which is fully MSC's fault. What happens is that they have to do a hard inventory after each cruise and basically lock down stock for almost a day. They do this to report on the profitability of each cruise and to determine the booze per capita amount. Only after this is completed do they then open up the coffers and restock. There's also the issue of not knowing EXACTLY what the demographics are of each of the short cruises. If you carry 20 types of beer but there's a "run" on Peroni, you are going to run out. There is no infinite supply chest somewhere and you cannot restock mid-cruise.
  4. I could be wrong but I thought the 2 devices were for the 1st 2 guests in the cabin...
  5. We have OFTEN experienced issues with trying to get even "listed" glasses of wine due to "supply shortages." Unfortunately the default is to pour "down" not "up" meaning they will offer an inferior substitute even though the ships are chock full of better wines. It's frustrating at best. (There's a somm on one the ships who wanted to have a "taste off" with me insisting that I couldn't blind read the difference between a $4 bottle and $40 bottle. I declined knowing that I'd smoke him 🙂 )
  6. The Aurea menu is SO MUCH better than the YC menu for all dayparts. The YC breakfast really is light continental.
  7. Diamond, Schi-mond.. has nothing to do with level. Pizza is not allowed in the TopSail lounge. You can order to the One Pool deck, though.
  8. Bracelets are only being issue for Yacht Club (and not for all ships apparently)
  9. OMG, we had this last month on the Grandiosa! The little glass "cups" full of sliced, caramelized onions... I mean, WTH?
  10. this ^^^^^^^ 🙂 Best bet, find a good travel agent. The MSC agents are spotty at best. My personal experience would rate their level of knowledge from a 0 to a 9, with the average rep getting about a 2.5. What's the date of the sailing you are looking at?
  11. Sorry, not correct, but the building to the left is actually the service kitchen where the food is prepared for the YC. It’s a separate building.
  12. Hum.... when was this? I thought only the service kitchen was to the "left"
  13. There's no rhyme or reason to why some cabins are not showing as being available for a B2B -- that's poor MSC technology (and capacity controls). There are several reasons to book as one B2B - you can (pretty much, but not definitely because, well, "MSC") be assured that you will be in the same cabin for both sailings. If you have 2 bookings and 2 booking numbers there's the chance that your cabin could be moved without your consent. It happens. If you book as a B2B and you have Diamond Status you would have to ask to try to get the 2nd set of goodies (prosecco, specialty dining, etc) because it will be under one reservation number. You may, or may not, get. If you are in YC chances are better that you will get. As indicated, you do have to do the whole get off the ship, walk back on, thing regardless of how you book.
  14. Yes, you can get other beers if you ask. They carry Coke in the US market. As far as drinks "just over the limit" I suspect that will be the case. There is a Chateau Neuf du Pape wine that Hubby enjoys that is $15.50 - $50 CENTS over the limit and not included in YC or in the Premium package.
  15. Yes you can, it's called the BUFFET 🙂 (kidding, just kidding), but can you IMAGINE the chaos? It's already hard enough to move the herds of 1000's of guests through dining rooms at fixed times when folks show up 10/15/30 minutes late (not understanding the concept of table turns).
  16. The only option would be for the family of 6 to move to "fixed" seating with you, if that is even possible. It will be at maitre d' discretion.
  17. Lol! That’s usually when they have the talk about Ladies and Gentleman acting like Ladies and Gentlemen 🤣🤣🤣
  18. Ah, but it’s likely because your wine was in a “good” yacht club wine glass and they knew they’d never get it back. If you bring a glass of wine from a “regular bar” in “ “regular” glass you won’t have a problem.
  19. Yes, you can arrive at 9:30 but 10:30 -11:00 is likely the time you will be boarding. You will then be brought to Top Sail to be given "THE TALK" 🙂 (lol) and a welcome drink.
  20. Welcome! At the risk of stirring the already simmering pot, it is strongly requested that shorts/flip flops are not to be worn in the evening. The Maitre D' can, at his/her discretion, ask someone presenting in such to go back and change. (Yes, we've seen this happen). No need to get a specialty package if this is your first YC rodeo. After a few times in the YC you might tire of the menu, but for your first I'd just stick with what's included. You set sail at 3pm? There's NO WAY, as in ZERO WAY, I'd get there on a bus/train as late as 11am. Too much room for something to go wrong and that ship is sailing with or without you... Since you are in Yacht Club you can (and likely would want) to get there as early as 9am. You might have to wait around a bit having a glass of prosecco, but better to be early. Yes, the Dailies are different as they show the times for the YC TopSail, dining, etc. Otherwise it's all the same.
  21. Never, ever had this in our experience. The wine by the glass list is extremely limited in Butcher's Cut, even with the Premium package. We have often carried in our own. No issues at all. (And on the Grandiosa, the bar that Butcher's uses is actually that of L'Atelier so that's not an issue)
  22. If you want to dine with your friend then you might try Butcher's Cut.
  23. NO running track, per se. There will be lots of walkers that you will have to dodge.
  24. There are no inside YC cabins on the Divina 😉
