  1. Thank you Melanie @puppycanducruise. The heat and humidity is something for us to consider in Panama. New England sounds amazing and top of my list for later next year as we have 5 cruises booked.
  2. It was lovely meeting you both on Anthem of the seas. We also had a lovely chat with Sandra and her husband on MSC Virtuoso in April.
  3. Thank you. We like cruising. We have stayed in hotels in this country and Tenerife, Benalmadena,Miami and Orlando this past year.
  4. Why not book a Junior suite for a 6 or 7 night's cruise John. You get double points for that. I did that in 2011 to make diamond. We have been Diamond plus for several years now. We would be Pinnacle now if we hadn't sailed on Princess,P&O,NCL and MSC.
  5. Many thanks to everyone for your Panama canal information. The insects love me so it is reassuring when so many of you pass on your experiences of no insects.
  6. @daiB Of course they don't if you are spending money. I believe it was our Iona cruise in March 2022 that was late arriving due to a medical stop in Lisbon. We sat around our hotel for 9 hours and our ship left at midnight. We had stayed in the hotel for 2 nights pre- cruise and shopped and seen everything we wanted.
  7. We stop 1 or 2 nights in Southampton pre-cruise and walking around without cases is fine and we see what we want. After my heart attack 3 and a half years ago and awaiting hip replacement it is inconvenient pulling cases around. Before my heart attack I worked out regularly in the gym and at home and lifting most things was no problem.
  8. I agree. Some of us have heart issues and severe arthritis which makes it inconvenient. Before my heart attack when I was in the gym a lot lifting heavy cases was no problem.
  9. Of course they don't John @terrierjohn but there is only so much space. I believe it was our March 2022 Iona cruise which was severely delayed until midnight due to a late arrival because of a medical issue to Lisbon. We were sitting around the hotel for 9 hours after departing our rooms. We had stayed 2 nights pre cruise in Southampton and seen everything and shopped plenty in Westquay shopping centre. BTW I booked another P&O cruise this morning so have 5 booked.
  10. I agree John. I never say no to my D+ Royal Caribbean benefits. I booked another cruise today. Hope I don't appear selfish 😇😂😋
  11. Thank you Sandi. We are both on our sunbeds with a big sun umbrella above us.
  12. Welcome home Melanie. We were away cruising in the Fjords at the same so I posted photos and videos on Sundays daily plus on our Lastie floataway thread.
  13. Great photos Sandi @StLouisCruisers. I booked another Mediterranean cruise this morning. Pauline mentioned Panama canal but I said Friends on HAL said you need plenty of insect repellent so she went cold on that. Australia is on our list but it is a long flight. We both fancy a New England cruise so that is on our list too.
  14. Thank you for today's daily reports. It is 25°C 77°F at the moment. Happy Flag day in the US. I don't drink Bourbon. We did a little family history previously. If only time would stand still like today's Quote. Preferably on the back of our ship in the Fjords with a bottle of Marlborough Sauvignon blanc. Today's food and wine sound good. Good wishes to all of my Dailyite friends whether you are cruising or unwell. I hope y'all have a great day.
  15. Well said Andy. We always stay overnight in Southampton and get breakfast in our hotel or Carluccios so no panic going to the ships buffet. Some hotels want you out at 11am and some 12am so if you have a 3.15pm check in you have all of your luggage, valuables and vital medication with you which is inconvenient. Some people will go to the terminal and at least drop off their main luggage and have the option to see if they can check in or wait or carry hand luggage back to a nearby pub/restaurant in Southampton. The only time we were in queues was when everyone had to take a test in the terminal.
  16. Thank you Sandi. It was 80°F not 89°F. I realised when it was to late to edit. We are forecast for mid 70s all week and sunny.
  17. It is showing 106 now. I hope you enjoyed your birthday cruise Tom in March. When I checked my files it was March 2022 we were on Iona for Pauline's birthday. We have 2 future bookings on Iona and Arvia so I hope I can pre-book Epicurean and Sindhu on line for those. Graham.
  18. Good evening. It is still very mild and humid at 21.55pm. We had lunch and dinner in the garden. This morning I attended a speed awareness course. A couple of months ago a mobile police camera van photographed me driving over the speed limit. The course was 3 hours long and quite interesting and I did learn a few things. Doing the course was cheaper than the fine and meant I did not get any penalty points on my clean driving licence. I hope everyone is having a good day.
