How much does a can of coke cost on NCL?
Candy Apple 12 replied to rabidstoat's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
Does everyone in the stateroom need to buy the soda package, or can just one person buy it? -
Thank you for the links. The press release says, “The Gold model can be found in the standard stateroom categories and consists of a classic Bonnell system with 400 individual springs for optimal bed rest. The Dreamy and Tranquility models are used in the suites and, thanks to memory or WaterGel® foam, provide an even more comfortable sleeping experience.” So, now I’m down to just two mattresses. I wonder if suites have The Dreamy and Haven has Tranquility since the Tranquility model is more expensive.

How did you purchase it while on the cruise? Which ship were you on? We were on the Bliss in the Haven in May and loved the mattress. We booked a different Haven room on the Bliss next spring just to check out the mattress again! We are thinking of buying one. Any tips on buying the mattress will be greatly appreciated! I’ve never bought a mattress online. Which specific mattress did you buy? Thank you!

Just boarded the Bliss …

Thanks! If Rogi’s not there in April, we’ll have to hope for another good butler. -
Agreed. An alternate to consider which would not clog the ship’s toilet system is a portable bidet, like this one from Amazon.

Rogi was our butler in May. We also gave him a letter with cash in it on the first day thanks to @Sthrngary. Rogi did a great job for us. Can you ask him if he’ll be on board next April? It’s a ways away, but I’m hoping to have him as out butler again next year. -
True. This was in Seattle. The cruise prior to ours had an outbreak of a gastrointestinal illness, so they were doing a thorough cleaning according to a paper they handed us upon array the port. Embarkation was delayed until noon, so there were quite a few guests waiting in the Haven area to board the ship. Taking guests by muster station was probably the most efficient way to do it, and stopping at the muster station got that task knocked off right away, so it worked well. The muster stations were called in alphabetical order, and group C only waited a few minutes—just enough time to groups A and B to clear out of the room. If your guide doesn’t take you to your muster station, it’s reasonable to ask your butler to do so if you are unfamiliar with the ship, especially if you have any mobility issues.

On our May Bliss cruise, the Haven rooms were called by muster station to board the ship, starting with muster station A. We were in the Haven proper and the grands were not, but we both were assigned muster station C. The guide took us directly to the muster station where our cards were scanned, then took us to the Haven for a tour.

Can you expand on this? Thank you!

My motto is: if it doesn’t fit it my pockets, I don’t need it. I never buy clothing without pockets. Thankfully, clothing manufacturers are finally realizing that more women agree with me!

How do you decide which into which category you put each cruise line? I started cruising with Disney when our young men were young boys, then switched to NCL when we wanted to do Hawaii on the POA. We’ve since done a Breakaway cruise in a balcony and a Bliss cruise in the Haven. After we use up our last CruiseNext certificate, I’m trying to decide whether to try out another cruise line. Your post has me thinking about looking at Oceania. Can I assume that you’re going to do some type of review after you take this trip? If so, can you post a link here? I’ve not spent any time on the Oceania board, so I’d miss it if you don’t link it here. TIA!

Were these cruises that you already had booked? I just booked a cruise yesterday, and I see a discount coupon. I’d love to save 10%!

What type of bed in the Haven?
Candy Apple 12 replied to mearsfansinboise's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
If they aren’t all the same, can you find out what mattress is in the main bedroom of suite 18704? Thank you! -

Thanks for your reply. Can you come back to this thread and let me know which bed the Haven has? I wonder if all of the Haven rooms have the same bed. We were in a two bedroom Haven on the Bliss in May. We are considering booking a Haven Courtyard Penthouse, but not until next spring. While you’re on board, could you ask if all the Haven rooms have the same mattress? Thank you. Enjoy your cruise! -

@mearsfansinboise Did you buy a mattress from Bliss Bed? If so, which one? Are you happy with it? I loved the bed in the Haven on the Bliss. We need a new mattress and would love some feedback from anyone who’s purchased from them. -
Thanks for the memories. Time to start planning another Haven cruise!
