  1. Just got off C620 on Crown. Avoid if you can. It is next to very noisy area with vibration and constant low thrumming throughout night. My bed was next to the crew area and bothered me. However, my roommate on the side next to other cabin did not feel or hear.

Strange smells on first two days and stale smoke smell on fourth day. Beds were concave.

  2. Just got off the Crown Nov 13th. Several notices re novo in rooms and announcements. No problems that I know of. Butter in main dining room was individually wrapped. However, butter in Horizen Court and Cafe was not.

My bed on Caribe was concave! Terrible but steward said it would be replaced in dry dock before heading to Med in 2018.

She needs a extensive rehab......lovely layout, CD excellent, cruisers friendly, but more than a little tired.

  3. Norris,

Thanks for the lovely pics. We boarded the Regal the day you got off and had a similarly wonderful time.

Our faves were The Santuary on the first sea day........best $20 I have ever spent,

And the smoking area on deck 17......very comfy and met scads of nice folks there. No one in the pool ever.

I agree with your earlier comment on the robes! Dreadfully small. Maybe too much shrinkage from laundering? Requested larger to no avail. I urge our fellow CCrs to urge Princess to update. This was not the case on Majestic as they were large and plush. Wondering about Crown as I am boarding the 8th with friend.

    Enjoy your reviews.

  4. We are sailing Nov 7 - 5 day. Do the cabin tv's have the Fox news channel? Is smoking allowed at the aft pool deck 14? Is lobster served in MDR on a five day cruise? Thanks for any info.

Lobster was served at my MDR table on recent 5 day cruise to Nova Scotia......Regal Princess formal night.

  5. We toured on a bus starting at the “other” dock, first stop the Santorini wine (best T-shirt’s), then on to Oia and finally Fira for a cable car ride back to dock. [emoji33][emoji33][emoji33][emoji33] this was in early May before the busiest part of season.

There is no avoiding crowds. Period. If I had to do it again, I would get a car and guide. Being on a tour, there as no stopping for a picture of that “gasp” beautiful view.

Start as early as you can, stay as late as you can, and pray the other ships leave and you have a less crowded situation.

Shopping is the best in the Med. Jewelry is priced well and good quality. Darling white cotton clothing. (Still regret not going back for one for DD.

Good luck! It is as beautiful as

  7. iPhone, Sony RX100M for compact size, Nikon DSLR with two lenses....one zoom and one fixed......which lens depends on where I am traveling. Sometimes a third sneaks in [emoji57], but as I get older I try to keep weight down.

I had my original RX stolen whilst in the luggage on the carousel in LV.....only got $250 back from AMEX....zero from Delta. ALWAYS carry on your equipment.....

If I am traveling by car, my Nikon FM from back in the day sneaks in....still love film.

Delta reimbursed for everything else no prob, but they do not cover computers, cameras or electronics.

  8. The Enclave was a $40 per day charge on the Majestic, which is a sister ship to Regal. And one had to book for the entire cruise as it was not available on a day by day basis. There is a limit on passes sold, so if it is a must for you, I would suggest getting the pass from the spa as soon as you board. (It will be my first stop) [emoji6]

For me, on a 14 day cruise, it was discounted a bit. I believe it was $400 for the two weeks, but I could be off by a bit.

There are three different types of sauna/steamroom as I remember. There were about 10-12 tiled/heated loungers. The jacuzzi is probably 15-20 ft by 40 feet. It is immaculately kept and always warm. There are four areas with isolated jets for neck or feet/back. Also, a bench type area at back that one can lounge

    on.

And there are three or four showers with mist/fragrance to refresh yourself.

Fruit, flavored water, iced towels, lockers, etc, etc. surprisingly, there were no hairdryers. Gals said they were on their way. (New ship)

For me, it was worth every penny. Each day after long walking/touring I would hit the jacuzzi and sore muscles and arthritis never affected me. In the cool weather we will have, it is a certainty for me to book!

    Hope to see you there!

  9. Wow, takes me back a few years! So not sure about the pool, but maybe a rubber padding for the bed? I would call Princess and inquire as to whether the room steward could supply one so you don’t have to pack one. (Perhaps ask about the pool policy, too)

Cruises have so many children on them...one would hope they are prepared for any occasion.

  10. Email I received yesterday.....not sure what “group events” means but I agree this would be “batty” to include suite, elite etc in this policy. I have a feeling there will be blowback on this one. [emoji36][emoji36][emoji36][emoji36]

  11. Sorry for the delay. We do not need names. It is like open house for the hour. At this time it will be from 11:00am - 12:00pm in

Club6. The venues are always subject to change at the ship's discretion. It is a no host bar, which means everyone is responsible

for their own drinks. Dry snacks will be provided. There is a new policy for events, as follows:

BEVERAGE PACKAGES CANNOT BE USED FOR GROUP EVENTS,

SPECIAL OR PRIVATE EVENTS SUCH AS COCKTAIL PARTIES

    WEDDING RECEPTIONS OR SIMILIAR FUNCTIONS

at this time we are showing 41 guests.

  12. It's not fake news.

The Meet and Greet coordinators got emails from Princess this last week informing them of this change.

Still remains to be seen if it will be enforced on board though.

Yes, but email said they would be glad to provide pitcher of water with lemon if requested.......LOL.......very generous!

  13. Just learned that the AIBP does not apply while at a M&M....is this a new policy from Princess, or am I just learning of it.

Doesn't seem fair to me....isn't an AIBP just that? Are there further restrictions on when, where or what events that are not allowed?
