No. The elevators open directly into the Haven. There were no stairs alongside the elevator. The stairs on the plans that you see are outside of the Haven. There are doors that you may enter through at lower decks to enter the Haven cabin area, but then, from what I remember, you must take the elevator up to 16.

We are on the same page here and with the H4 lack of storage and odd design. I’ll skip the Viva and see what the next ship looks like. In the meantime we are cruising on other ships and lines. I think it depends on the show. Rumors is very popular and a great show. That’s the one people wait in line for.

When we were on the Prima in May, the Concierge told us that they stopped doing that because too many guests complained. First the non Haven guests complained that too many seats were taken by Haven guests. They then limited the number of Haven guests that they would escort in, but the other Haven guests complained that certain guests were given priority over them. That is when they stopped doing it altogether on the Prima. The venue is smaller than others, too small for a large ship IMO. I think what they should do is schedule an additional Haven only night.

Yup! 100% agree. That’s why I think, like others, that before they place cabins on ships they need to LIVE in them for a few days!

We received the first email where we had a link to fill out our cabin requests (booze selections for example) about 4 months prior to our sail date. We were in an H4 on the Prima. Our sail date was April 30, 2023. I received the email Dec 21, 2022. Everything was filled as requested and was waiting for us when we entered the cabin.

Passengers booked in the Mega- and Rockstar Suites got screwed if they were on the Holiday cruises that got canceled IMO. Those alternative itineraries are not nearly as good, and there are no suites available that I can see. We had Mega and regular Rockstar suites booked on the NYE cruise but cancelled right before the due date. People scoffed at me, but I am used to great communication with cruise lines especially when booked in a suite as the cruise gets closer. There was no communication from VV at all. They must have known the ship was not going to be finished months ago but wanted the $$ first before officially cancelling. I know other cruise lines (NCL) does this too, but it is never good for PR. Sorry to all impacted by this. I hope it works out positively for everyone.

As stated the Sky does not have a Haven. We stayed in one of the Forward Owners suites and it was nice.

I think @Sailing12Away is on your cruise as well. She is also in the Haven and is currently doing a live-ish review as well. Hopefully you will meet each other onboard. Enjoy your cruise!

Yes, Princess allows you to select your own flights from a list of choices, and allows you to add the flights later. So does Royal Caribbean. Both have worked out great for us. I will never use NCL for flights, though, due to too many nightmare stories like yours.
