    Just to answer the question.

    Yes you can.

Go to guest services and ask them to remove the graturities. They will have staff queue busting by walking along the queue taking room numbers of people wishing to remove the tips. Saves having to queue for ages. You can also ask for envelops at the same time to leave tips at end of the cruise.

Great answer to the actual question 👏

I had no problem with Flights by X.  We are booked LAX-SEA in Sept, we were able to book first, and when I booked, it gave a phone number to Flights by X and she assured our Frequent Flyer numbers were in and assisted with seats.  I am now able to go onto Delta's website and see my flights.  Several times since booking Delta changed the schedule.  I received an email from Flights by X before Delta emailed me.

We are also booked with Delta.  We also logged on the Delta website and have our seats reserved.  The problem is that until Flights by X pays for the flight, our seats with Delta can still change.  We are listed as confirmed flight with Delta but until we are ticketed those seats can change at any time.  Flights by Celebrity won't ticket our flights until about 30 days out.  We have paid our final payment but still waiting for Celebrity to issue payment to guarantee our flight.  We can't even upgrade our seats until we are ticketed.

The way I read it in their details is that you don't have a choice of venue for the first dinner, only a time and only on the first night. You are able to select a restaurant and times for the second dinner and your lunch.

But I agree that it is worded poorly and is easily open to interpretation. And it doesn't inspire confidence when you book it and only gives you a 3 pm dining time.

We will likely purchase the dining trio package and see what happens.

  4. We have already purchased our Tuscan Grille First Night Discount, but we were curious if we could still purchase the Dining Trio Package.   The cruise planner allows the purchase but gives us a first day time of 3pm for the dining trio package.  We were thinking of just changing the time when we arrived on the ship but didn't know if the dining trio package had to also be used on day one.

  5. We booked our flights with Flights by Celebrity, we have a Delta flight to Iceland.  We reserved our seats directly with Delta with no issue.  We have since issued our final payment for cruise and flight but we are  still waiting for Celebrity to ticket our flight so we can upgrade to Delta plus seating.  Airline will not allow upgrade until ticket is issued.  Hopefully this gets done soon.

Log into your account and go to your Upcoming Cruises page. At the very bottom there is a Shop for Flights link.

Or search your itinerary like you are making a new booking, and instead of clicking Booking Now, click the Flights and Itinerary button. Scroll to the very bottom and there is a Get a Quote button. This way will show prices with included promos like the $100/300/700 off offer that you may not actually qualify for.

The flights and itinerary button appears to no longer allows you to view flights when checking new bookings.   Hope this is only temporary as it was a very useful tool to keep up with changing fares on flights.

  7. We were trying to view flight options for a potential Celebrity cruise but we see that they took down the flight search option on the website.   I know we can still call but miss having the option to search for flights on the Celebrity website.   Has anyone else noticed this change?

I totally agree with everything you say. Well, not everything, I can't say that I am from the U.K. But other than that. To go a bit beyond your comments, I think that bribing, aka early tipping, is not only not classy, but it also disrespects the server, steward, whoever. If I were in their position, I would resent the implication that I have no pride in my work, and that I would not do a good job unless given cash incentives up front.

    Agreed 👍

2021. No more formal nights. Wear what you like. Just keep it clean and appropriate for the activity.  Thanks

old days of cruising were different.   Dress up was part of that experience.  Let it rest as a nice memory.

Formal nights are indeed just a memory now.  With airlines charging extra for luggage, we are happy to just leave our formal wear at home.

Celebrity found a way around the FL rule, and is sailing at 95%+ vaccinated out of FLL.  They are also limiting their capacity to ~35%-40%.

    Their policy….

“We will sail with a vaccinated crew and at least 95% fully vaccinated guests. All guests 16 years and older must be fully vaccinated with all COVID-19 vaccine doses administered at least 14 days prior to sailing.  As of August 1, 2021, all guests age 12 and older must be fully vaccinated. All UK guests sailing on Celebrity Silhouette 18 years and older must be fully vaccinated.

NOTICE: Proof of vaccination will be recorded and may be reviewed for signs of fraud. Unauthorized use of an official government agency seal such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention seal is a federal crime, and will be reported to the relevant government authorities.”

    Carnival is doing the same.

NCL is requiring 100% vaccinated passengers,  but they haven’t cruised out of FL, yet.  They actually haven’t cruised at all, yet.

Royal is the one who is requiring additional money for additional testing and insurance against COVID for passengers.  In addition, they are limiting where unvaccinated passengers can go on the ship, and what they can do.

In short, the law suits are moot at this point.  The cruise lines have taken it upon themselves to self regulate and to sail safely.

With the current surge with the Delta strain, I don’t see any of these procedures changing any time soon.

This is the best response to handle Florida cruises, the only other alternative is to leave the state.  That would be silly for Florida as many other places would welcome the cruise lines.

Sure would be nice if everyone would do the right thing in regards to public safety.

We've never found it difficult to pack snorkeling gear, two weeks worth of clothing, lots of toiletries, shoes, etc. and still have plenty of room for a tuxedo and a couple of gowns/dresses in one suitcase each.  We're always under the airline weight limit, as well.

Good for you!  Wear what makes you feel good.  The dining room experience is very different these day, even Celebrity has given up on formal nights.   Times are changing and we now leave the gowns and suits at home.

  12. Unable to travel with many suitcases these days without it costing an arm and a leg in additional baggage fees.  Since we only bring one suitcase each, suits and gowns no longer make the cut for our cruises.
