Did Princess really deserve all the crap that has come their way the past few months. Is it really all that hard to maybe give Princess Cruises a break and be a little patient while they sort it all out.
Princess and most other cruise lines dont deserve a break from us. Princess deserves all the crap that is coming their way, they earned it.

They also let the Charge-backs get out of hand. Banks are Leary of charge-backs over 1 percent and I am sure they are already well beyond that.
Great point! This is an ugly situation for everyone.

Princess and the cruise lines are in trouble. Who knows when the ships will start cruising, what new modifications will be needed for likely new regulations on these ships, which ports will even open for cruise ships, will enough cruisers even want to get back on a ship, will the ships be able to get enough quality crew members back. With Princess being forced to cancel so many more cruises, deal with numerous lawsuits, we are all in a fight to get our money back. Good luck to everyone in getting their money back and good luck to Princess.

Still no refunds and now more people than ever are waiting to see if Princess will step up to the plate and do the right thing.

Wow. I, like many others, am 30 days post-cancellation of my cruise and nothing.
That is not good.

My cruise was canceled by Princess on 3/12 (like so many others here). After a quick call to Princess, I quickly filled out the form by about 10 a.m. that day. The agent I had called told me I would get a refund within 10 to 15 days. Not a penny yet.
Five days later, on 3/17, I received a call from a Princess vacation planner, trying to coerce me into putting down a deposit for a new cruise in anticipation of the refund and FCC that I would be receiving. I also received an email from him, so I have this in writing. This is probably the thing that has undermined Princess' goodwill with me more than anything else: they don't have enough resources, they claim, to process refunds (and, as I say above, I have not received anything: not for the cruise, EZ Air, excursions, specialty dinners, etc.) but they have enough resources to man the phones to try to get you to make a reservation.
They are making a lot of unforced errors.
All the cruise lines are in desperate situations. They will be forced to cancel even more cruises in the future. They have no easy way out. I am just not sure I will ever see my money back.

Princess and the rest of the cruise lines are hemorrhaging cash as we all continue to wait and hope for our cash refunds. In the meantime, Princess will be canceling many more cruises and will continue to owe even more people refunds as more future cruises are canceled. Just not sure they survive without some kind of bailout from the government. It appears they have given up on giving people their refunds as it appears Princess has stopped any more refunds at this time. Lousy situation for all of us.

We have a 25 day med/TA cruise scheduled on the Enchanted for October 25. I am becoming more concerned about this cruise and now believe Princess will likely cancel this cruise. The ship being built in northern Italy is mostly done but she sits empty, as all the workers continue to stay home by Gov't orders. Not really worried about my cruise but more about the people.

Unless things calm down by May; I don't see river or ocean cruises starting up until at least Aug/Sep. I may be wrong but it seems like that is probable.
Far from probable, very likely this situation will last much longer.

Good luck, hopefully you will be off soon. Did the Captain say when you will get the next update?

We have normal things going on such as a movie in Vista and trivia etc. Basically we are carrying on a familiar routine while waiting for test results. We had lunch in Horizon and have been given unlimited WiFi and phone.
Hopefully you will be off soon

Still full access to the ship. Slight changes you would expect with the noro, such as no salt and pepper shakers and they hand you plate. You can still serve yourself at the buffett last I saw.No luggage.
Vibe was okay last we were in public areas an hour ago. We are going to walk around soon since we are not getting updates right now.
I am local here in Ft Lauderdale area, wishing you guys the best. Please keep us posted and we will keep you updated if we hear something. Stay strong, hopefully you will be off shortly.

Any updates on the two crew members test yet?

If you use as an example what has happened to the Royal sailing yesterday, there is much to be worried about by the new protocols.
The sailing was cancelled effectively by the US Government. One crew member on the Royal had come there over two weeks ago from the Grand which has had a virus outbreak and has still not been allowed to dock in the USA.
That crew member has not shown any signs of illness for the more than two weeks and had not interacted before that with Grand crew who have been tested positive. Princess was unable to get a virus test on this crew member in a timely manner and thus the voyage was cancelled with (I assume) about 3000 passengers at the port waiting to board.
The new protocols call for enhanced screening of both disembarking and embarking passengers.
So if a disembarking passenger has a temperature or a cold or even the flu, what happens next?
o Will boarding for the next voyage be delayed while any such person is tested for the virus?
o Will all disembarking passengers who have not yet exited the ship be stopped until any tests come back?
o And what will then be done with the remaining passengers if that test is positive?
o Will the next voyage have to be cancelled as was done when a crew member with no symptoms the entire time he/she was on the ship could not be tested in a timely manner?
o Or will all the embarking passengers need to wait in the cruise terminal (possibly until the next day) until testing can be done and with a negative result?
o Will any required testing cause the loss of one day out of the voyage and thus in many cases cause the loss of a port (most likely the first one) on a cruise?
If a ship has 2000-3500 passengers disembarking, what are the chances that not one of them will have an elevated temperature, a cold, or other illness symptoms?
And what about the embarking passengers. The protocols say that anyone with an elevated temperature (for any reason apparently) will be denied boarding as well as anyone with symptoms that might possibly resemble the virus symptoms. So what happens next:
o Since that person had obviously been near others in the check-in area will anyone that had been near him be put in on shore quarantine and not allowed to cruise because they may have become infected if that person (without testing yet) was thought to potentially have the virus?
o What about passengers who had been near that person and had already boarded?
o Will the voyage be cancelled if testing of that person was not possible in a timely manner?
o Or will be voyage be delayed until such testing can be performed and come back with a negative result? Will all those who have not boarded yet be allowed onto the ship or will they have to wait in the terminal (possibly overnight) until the results have come back?
o Will any required testing cause the loss of one day out of the voyage and thus in many cases cause the loss of a port (most likely the first one) on a cruise?
Again, what are the chances that 2000-3500 embarking passengers will not have one person with an elevated temperature or a cold or some other illness symptoms?
Will people be cancelling cruises just because after traveling what can be long distances to get to a port the voyage might be cancelled at the last minute because one person disembarking or embarking has a cold?
I certainly do not have the answers to these questions and possibilities, but neither do I think does Princess.
Excellent post!

With a ship that big it is entirely reasonable to believe that some cabins got skipped/shorted while others got full meals. They had trouble with that in the beginning on DP as well.
Agreed!
