Checked with my dr and he said that although I am healthy, the form opens the door to liability. He refused. Oh well......

Thanks. There isn't a doctor on this planet that would sign that document. Big liability for them if something happens.

I am 71, leaving in 10 days, I never got any email. Did you receive this in your regular email or on the NCL website messages? I just checked both, nothing.

I am 71, no health issues, flying to Puerto Rico, boarding the Epic on 3/22/20. Was planning to travel with just a carryon, but am adding some extra cleaning supplies, snacks for just in case, so will be checking in a bag. That's my only gripe, but can live with it, lol!!

Lol, not complaining, just feel bad that they are wasting all that paper on me! The more paper they use, the higher our costs are.

I am platinum and have just started receiving catalogues from NCL for about a month. I think it is a waste of paper, since all of that information can be found on the NCL website. Really just a nusiance!

I had booked a Christmas cruise (studio) and went to the website to check. Found the studio has gone up $900!! Glad I booked early!

We are all driving each other crazy. Best to wait until 3/10 and get the information from those who have had contact with NCL

I am 70 and planning on going. No health issues, but an "elder" could just not tell the truth. Should be interesting.

I asked that questiion earlier and the response was ANY cruise.

If I cancel my March cruise , can I use the FCC issued by NCL to put on a future cruise already booked for December, 2020? I have only paid the deposit on the Dec cruise. Would I be able to call NCL, cancel the upcoming Mar cruise and apply the FCC to the Dec cruise in one step? TIA

I am 71 yrs old. No ailments, no meds. Are you telling me that I might not be able to cruise because of my age? Will I have to carry my medical records onboard when I want to travel? That is ridiculous! Age discrimination at its worst!

Go to page 1 of this thread, scroll down and yu will see the announcement. It explains it more fully.

I just scrolled up to the top of the page where the announcement was posted. It says that all components of your fare, except for insurance will be refunded.

What if someone cancels, takes the FCC for another cruise in late 2020 and this situation is still not resolved? Will NCL allow us to cancel again for a FCC?

I have had a passport for 6 yrs, and it has never be stamped, so am assuming my travels are logged in somewhere if they need to check.

- I am greatful, but I am going! Nice to know that I do have the option, but have been looking forward to this cruise. Thanks for all the help

How do they check a passenger's passport if nothing has ever been stamped? Are the records of travel computerized? TIA
-
Thank you so much. That is what I figured, but wanted to double check. Let the wait begin!

I am booked for 3/22/20 cruise and have the NCL standard insurance. I have a question: if I cancel the cruise, I will get 75% of my cruise returned. What if NCL cancels the cruise? Will I get 100% returned to me? Trying to figure out whether if it is more beneficial to wait it out. TIA

I just hate surprises. Would rather know sooner rather than later. I really wouldn't mind just staying out to sea, but I am sure that isn't going to happen. I heard the cruiselines are meeting with the White House on Saturday, so maybe some news will be available.

I am cruising on the Epic 3/22/20. I do have the insurance so will get 75% back in the event NCL cancels. I really don't want to cancel but am wondering how far in advance would NCL notify passengers that the cruise was cancelled? TIA
-
Thanks to all for the information.

I have always been able to pre pay gratuities online when booking NCL. I have noticed that NCL no longer provides that option. Is this something new?
New requirement if you or somebody you are traveling with is 70 or over

Why are the sports organizations, television shows, all cancelling audience participation? Those venues are a mixed age group. There is obviously concern, so why isn't NCL following suit and cancelling? An outbreak is an outbreak regardless of the age. There are many people who have contacted the virus who are under 60 and have suffered serious consequences. So, NCl's cutoff age isn't working for me. It is all about the almighty dollar. Sad.....
