  1. Still waiting for mine. Called NCL this morning and they gave me the amount they were returning to my card and said it had been sent 3/4.  So far, nothing showing up on my card.  I, too, am receiving more than I figured on, so it must be port fees and a couple of days of prepaid gratuities.  Will keep you posted.

  2. As a New Englander, I know my fish and chips!  O'Sheehans doesn't even make the grade!  Tastes like the frozen fish fillets you buy in the supermarket.  Plus, the service is so slow, that most things come to the table luke warm.  Who wants to eat cold greasy fish?  No thanks!

I, too, was on this cruise and found the crew to be very accommodating, and doing everything in their power to make the shortened cruise enjoyable.  I love the Epic, having cruised on her 9 times, and have never had a bad experience.  I do think the food is not their strong suit, but have always found something to eat.  I truly enjoyed myself, despite the shortened trip.  NCL was more than fair with their compensation.  I enjoyed myself so much, I am doing a back-to-back-to-back in late March!

     

  4. I think NCL is being very fair and generous.  I know people were disappointed that it wasn't the cruise they had planned on, but they were on the water for 7 days, went to Puerto Rico, ate and drank and partied.  It was a cruise nonetheless.  Kudos to NCL for doing the right thing.

  5. I guess I am in the minority because I love the Epic. I have sailed on the Epic 6 times to include the Med and the transatlantic in Nov, 2018.  I loved the size, loved the service.  Yes, there are a few things that I found to be annoying, but not enough to ruin my vacation.  I will be sailing again in March, 2019.  I am doing a back to back to back, so looking forward to 3 glorious weeks on my favorite ship.

  6. I have sailed on the Epic for 7 times, including a TA in November.  I have 2 more booked in the future.  I absolutely love the ship, the service, the employees and activities.  Are there flaws? Of course, but I am a firm believer that a vacation is what you make of it.  There are those who will never care for this ship.  But, there are people like myself, who sing the praises.  That is what makes the world go around.  I would not hesitate to recommend the ship.   Love the Epic!

    I have just booked the Epic transatlantic on 20th October from Barcelona and have x3 cabins next door to each other on Deck 9 - 9076/9068/9072, so it was a relief to find out (I hope :)) that these have covered balconies, albeit looking down onto Deck 8 balconies and lifeboats? If could could confirm, that would be great.

     

    We sailed the Epic last May and didn't even give it a thought about the balcony position, but this time I am responsible for a 'family booking' and don't think my Mum would be happy if she was overlooked.

  8. Couldn't help but read that you are on the Epic Trans Atlantic. Is that this year? If so, the TA is Oct 28th. I noticed you mentined cabin 9068. I am on that cruise 10/28 through 11/17 this year and I am in 9068. I just double checked my reservation...…...

  9. I couldn't download my doc yesterday. Called support and was told that it was due to the fact that my air flights had not been confirmed by NCL and it would be available on Mon. I didn't care for that answer, called Miami, got the number of air/hotel reservations and they told me the reservation was confirmed and she sent me the document. Later in the day, I went on to My NCL to check the dates re the NCL email and everything was fine.

  10. I am booked on Epic for 10/2818 and staying on for the TA on 11/4/18. Neither set of boarding documents has a boarding time to choose from, other than it says boarding time begins at 12:00. Is that the norm for European cruising? Normally, it will give you a choice. Thanks.

  11. I just called to reserve an excursion and told them I would be paying most of it with onboard credits. The woman wouldn't reserve a spot for me and said it would have to be done when I boarded ship. I'll try calling in the morning, maybe will get better results, lol.
