Divina's YC restaurant is located in the aft section of the ship and it's totally separate from the rest of the YC area. We enjoyed the evening strolls from our YC cabin on Divina's sister ship Fantasia to the YC restaurant. Something to keep in mind if you want all of the YC areas to be at one location.

It's definitely newer & different. Haven't been on the Europa yet, so can't say if I'll like it. Different cruisers prefer different things. While I'm looking forward to the cruise, I'm not keen on the Super-Mega-Floating-Mall idea as a cruise ship. Same reason why I haven't been on Royal's Oasis-class ships. I'll know this November.

I'll just chime in on embarking from Genoa, especially since we are flying over from north America. Genoa is a relatively small city, and flight options in and out of the city are rather limited. In 2019, we flew to Milan and return from Genoa. That was the most reasonably priced air routing. We just booked our flights for our November cruise on World Europa embarking at Genoa, again. This time we booked roundtrip to Milan, as flying into Genoa would be several hundreds more per person. We are flying in a day early and will take the train to Genoa on embarkation day, then a private van back to Milan so we can maximize the time there before flying back to the US the next day. That said... Cinque Terre is a day trip from Genoa if you want to spend a few days pre- or post-cruise. It's about an hour 20 minutes from Genoa by train.

Give them a call. Who knows? You may get lucky! What's the worst that can happen? Nothing! You keep your current booking & cabin.

Check out 4/27/2024 Euribia out of Kiel. Fares are about half of May sailings. Of course it'd still be cold in Norway at end of April. With VC discount, the YC3 is under $4k.

Yep, first hand experience with that. Viking will not upgrade you at the current promo fares. They will only upgrade you at the non-promo fares. Doesn't matter if you already need to pay more under the promo fares, Viking just wouldn't do it.

It's better. It's total immersion. We've done 3 Med cruises; 1 on MSC and 2 on Viking. As nice as Viking cruises were, we felt we were in the English-speaking bubble. MSC? You'll hear announcements in at least 6 languages, and English is usually in the middle of the pack. We loved it!

Sales person got his bluff called and hung up in embarrassment. LOL! "What would it take to..." implies there's room to negotiate. Apparently there's none!

Katakolon is a stop mainly for Ancient Olympia. If you had been there before, Katakolon only has cafes and shops on a few streets. My cruise stopped at Katakolon only for half a day, just enough time for excursions to go to Olympia and back. If I have to chose a port to stay on the ship, I'd stay on the ship at Katakolon.

We've cruised in both Feb & Mar in the Bahamas and Caribbean. The weather is not going to be too much different. With your cruise in 2nd part of March, it'll definitely be a bit warmer than early February; say high-70's to low-80's vs low- to mid-70's for daytime high temps. February is before US spring break season. Instead of seeing college-aged or high school-aged young adults & teens, you'll see pre-school age children with their parents. While Ocean Cay is a great private island with plenty of spaces. If you are willing to walk further away from the ship, you'll find space to spread out. That said, 4 days at Ocean Cay maybe a bit much too long. I'd stay with the March itinerary.

The offers come directly from the cruise lines, not from the TAs. Viking dropped a wholesale/warehouse chain because they have a habit of rebating commissions paid to agencies, thus undercutting other agencies and Viking themselves.
