I just printed my Xpress pass and at the top it has Arrival Appointment 11:30-12 am. Really? We haven't sailed on Summit since June 2018 and it never had that before? Are they serious? We have always arrived by 10 am (sailed from Cape Liberty for the last 5 years). and have been on board by 11:30. Is his something new?

I suppose I could check with Celebrity about that excursion? They are also running one to the Caves, etc that day but as you pointed out to me a year or so ago that a ship excursion there is not necessary.
Once again, thank you.

Last June on Summit there were several dogs. In all cases they were better behaved than most of the children on board.

Celebrity has a excursion to Historical Forts of Bermuda on Friday May 24. Do you think this will be an issue since its Bermuda Day?

Any pictures of the Veranda staterooms and balconies?

For you I will take a full on video. I hope you still sail.
Thank that would be great. Thank you

Hopefully they have not downsized the gym. If so, DH will be most unhappy...and it will probably mean that we won't sail with Summit again. A universal and free weights would not be enough for him. It would mean more people using less equipment, as in crowded. If we knew this before the final, payment, I'm sure he would have had me cancel. This has the potential of being a miserable cruise.

Just wondering is the retreat only for suite guests?
-
Thanks. I didn't know that.

I don't buy a wifi package so my phone doesn't work on board so I guess the app wouldn't be useful.

Great. Thanks.
is the App something I should get?

The email is from Canyon and gives the hours as 8-8. It of course talks about spa treatments, massages, etc and then it describes the gym and lists the fitness classes and services, such as personal trainers, nutrition, etc.. It tells you had to schedule such, but nowhere does it say anything about working out on your own as we have in the past. And that said we were usually in the gym about 6:30 am. The email and its links say nothing about the hours for the gym itself? BTW! There is a charge for classes, such as spinning, Zumba, etc.
I tried to call earlier but couldn't get through to anyone who knew anything about this. I will try again tomorrow and let you know if I find out anything.

CruisinCons- I was thinking the same thing. We are booked in a veranda state room on deck 7.
My question is about the gym/fitness center. What are the hours to work out in the gym...we do not need a trainer nor a class. We have sailed on Summit 5 out of the last 6 years and have never had an issue. Today, I received an email that makes it sound like passengers can't do that anymore....that use of the gym is by schedule, i.e. Classes or personal trainers. Say it isn't true. This could be a real issue for us, esp my gym rat hubby.

Thanks. I tried that and got “to protect your privacy your booking has been locked for 20 minutes”. Ugh.
i will check again at 2. If that doesn’t work, I will call.
I get that message regularly. I called Captains Club and her response was that she will book an excursion, specialty dining, drink package, etc for me. She didn't comment on the wait 20 min thing.
. I tried the next day and didn't get that message but it never loaded it just kept spinning? It's ver annoying.

As bad as the site is, it's even worse when trying to use an IPad. I have been calling (with long waits) to take care of things. And your all correct, they don't seem to care or acknowledge the issues when you complain to them.

When I did our on line check in for Summit in May it asked for a picture to be uploaded. I called Captains Club and they said I didn't have to do it. It's just to expedite the pier check in. I continued the online check in without the picture and had no problem.
-
Thanks. We sail on her in May. Looking forward to you commentary.

I received an email last night saying that the itinerary for this cruise has been changed. Most are just reshuffling of port days but one change is swapping out St Thomas for St Croix. Since I've never been to the Caribean I'm wondering about this change?

I tried to do my on line check in for my mid May cruise, but when I clicked on it, the screen is blank? I'm using an iPad but I have done it on the iPad for past cruises? Then I tried my iPhone and it looked like I could do it there but doing it on the small phone screen seems like it would be difficult. And then it locked me out and said to come back in 20 minutes.
So my question is, is anyone else having difficulty with the on line check in?
-
Thank you. I can always count on a response from you, Charles4515 and njhorseman with regards to Bermuda.
-
Is the spring ferry schedule available yet?
-
This May will be our fifth cruise to Bermuda, and we still haven't run out of things to do or see.
-
When do you think the schedules for 2019 will be out?

Thanks for the advice. I'll email him this week.
I forgot to mention I did email Quinton right after I posted for our May cruise. He responded right away and we're all set. He said it's never too early to book him as he gets a lot of requests.

Arrival appointment....really?
in Celebrity Cruises

That's why we generally arrive at the port early. We have breezed through check in but have had to sit and wait to board which generally has begun at about 11.
Tourist1292- we are sailing in May, too.
Jim_lain- I didn't see anything about arrival time when I completed my online check in. Do you think I can go back and change it?
