  1. There are lots of mini van tours at dockyard. Literally steps from where Celebrity and NCL dock. There are also boat tours, jet ski tours, fishing trips, snorkel tours etc right there as well.

  2. Part of the problem this time (we've done this cruise three times before in the last 4 years) was that eventhough everyone received a disembark time, people just walked of whenever, causing a huge log jam in the terminal before the luggage was all out.

  3. How was the weather in Bermuda? I know weather is totally unpredictable but what was your experience? It keeps changing daily on weather app. Shows rain pretty much everyday. Does that mean scattered showers each day in your experience or more of a rain all day everyday? We will be on the summit on Sunday headed to Bermuda.

The joke in Bermuda among the locals is...if you don't like the weather, wait 5 mins.

We just got back on Sunday and the weather was good. There was a brief shower one morning and a t storm. Those who sleep in missed it.

  4. We just got off of Summit on Sunday 6-10. The ship docked at 7 am. Breakfast began at 6 am. You have to leave your stateroom by 8am. Disembarkation began about 8:15 for those who were going off with their luggage unassisted. The next group off was the folks that had flights to catch. Then most had assigned times beginning at about 9 am. We went off at 9:10 but had to wait in the terminal for our luggage. The luggage wasn't there until about 9:40. Then you have to go through customs which took about 20 mins because there was a separate line for people using porters. We finally got into our limo at 10. It was very disorganized, as usual. And the terminal people for the most part were rude.

  5. Do the safes on Summit use keypad or card with strip( credit card type ) ?- which I do NOT prefer.

Are there elegant nights and Can men just wear jackets on those nights?

we just got off Summit yesterday. There were 2 formal chic nights...Monday and Friday. Although you can dress up as much as you want, I didn't see many truly formally dressed. Jackets are not required, though there were some. In fact the last night we saw men in the MDR in shorts and sandals. My husband who dislikes dressing up was a bit put off about that.

As ready said, safes are key pad and very easy to us. Shows were at 7 and 9....and some nights a short show at 10:15.

  6. Thank you. I should have read it more carefully.

We wI'll be in Dockyard the first week of June. Do you think I will be able to reach someone before that or should I just wait till we get there and get a taxi at that time?

  7. Based on CC recommendations DH and I are booked with Duke Soares for a May 31st island excursion. Rate is $40.00 per hour for up to 4 people. It's $55.00 per hour for 5-6 people. Tour is minimum of 3 hours. He suggests to start early and to get a good overview of the island you would need at least 4 or 5 hours.

Is that $40 per hour per person?

  8. Has anyone here taken Summit's Hamilton Train Tour and BUEI? Does Celebrity get you to Hamilton from Dockyard or did you have to take the regular ferry? The tour is at 9 but the first ferry is 7:30 and the next is 9:30.

Also if we took the 7:30 am ferry to Hamilton what is there to do so early? I'm figuring you'd be there by 8am.

  9. We’ve seen everything, even down to the shorts and sports tops on Chic night.

When we were on Summit, shorts were not allowed in the MDR on any night.

We don't miss formal night at all.
