  1. I have done literally no research on visiting Hawaii. It just came to mind the other day. Do you think we should just do Hawaii on land? What recommendations would you have? Since we are retired we can go anytime for 2-4 weeks. Or do you think we should go an Alaska cruise land tour?

  2. We sailed on Kine 4. They also didn't acknowledge my Husbands bday even though it said birthday celebration on our booking. On the past 3 cruises ( we always go on his bday) he has gotten complimentary bottle of wine, cards, bday cake on MDR, door decoration?

  3. Thanks for the info. Not that big a fan of hot dogs, etc. Rarely eat them at home. No loss.:) Still trying to find out of they have coffee in the waiting area in Bayonne? on RCI, they have a nice little set up. TIA

No coffee in the waiting area. There are some candy, snack and drink vending machines.

  4. We were there the first week of June. This was our fourth time in 5 years. We always have a stateroom on the port side. That being said this was the first time that Summit docked with the starboard side facing KW! We were disappointed.

And yes, NCL was docked right behind Summit.

  5. This question has been addressed several times but when we we're on Summit in June, most men didn't wear jackets even on Evening Chic nights. The only "rule" that seemed to be enforced was no shorts and no t shirts. Although many were in shorts the first nights and received a gentle reminder.

  6. Thinking of doing this last day as well. How did you like the glass bottom boat?

We really enjoyed the Glass Bottom boat. We did it last year too, but that one went out of Hamilton. It was about a half hour longer and we were able to feed the fish when we got to the wick age of the Vixen.

  7. We always select Select Dining and make reservations before the cruise. We also always select table for 2. We have never had any issues. We generally pick 6 pm on at sea days and 6:30 on port days. Even if we are a bit early or late, we always get seated right away.

  8. Very helpful post. What time were you allowed to board in Bayonne? We were told noon however we would like to get on earlier. Any information would be great. Thanks

The limo dropped us and our luggage at about 9:45. Porters took our bags and we went right in. We breezed through security and the check in. 30 mins later we noticed the crowds at the security lines were long. Boarding began at 11 am. We were enjoying lunch by 11:30! Most Staterooms were ready at 1:30.

  9. We're booked in 1130 in the Fall. Thanks for the heads up about the potential motion issue. I don't usually have an issue with seasickness but I'll be sure to research good prevention measures before we go!

I suggest Seaband ginger gum. Worked for me They also make wrist bands which I have never used but heard they work.

  10. We have a Bermuda trip booked this summer! Never cruised on the summit...are the cabin walls metal that magnetic hooks/clips can be used on the walls? Don't want to waste precious suitcase space if we won't be able to use them!

    Thanks!

I believe so but we have always had room to put away all of our clothes etc in the closets and drawers in our veranda stateroom. We fit our suitcases easily under the bed.
