  1. Prior to our Celebration cruise, and after I read about this on cc, I made certain our dining choice was YTD. I also checked our upcoming Mardi Gras and second Celebration cruises making certain we were YTD. Would not have been aware of this if I had not read about it here. Thank you to all who offer tidbits of information.
  2. So we’re thinking Mr. Megan lost his “sail card” in a tussle!
  3. There is no library on the Celebration, as it turned out the “crate” was the library!
  4. I ran out of books to read on Celebration a couple weeks ago. I went to Guest Services and asked if I had “missed” finding a library on the ship. The guy went to the back and came out with a crate of books, I suppose books people have left, so found one to read and was pleased. Who would’ve known!
  5. Megan, you go have fun, work it out tomorrow.
  6. We had a Cove Balcony on Celebration couple weeks ago, loved it, perfect location to “get to know decks 6,7,8” where there is lots of activity. On Celebration again in January and Coves gone but chose deck 5 OV as we liked the location so much. Enjoy your cruise, ship is beautiful, food offerings great.
  7. Wow, glad the timing was truly perfect for you. Glad you never mentioned earlier that your flight was from FLL. You would have had all us “cruise critic advisors” crazy - ha.
  8. Just catching up on your posts. We now cruise between Carnival and MSC. We have 23 on Carnival and 12 on MSC (I think) and enjoy both experiences. Our most recent S2S was last month, MSC Seascape to Carnival Celebration. We had great experiences on both ships, did really “love” the Celebration though. Fun to read your comparisons. Thank you for giving your time to do it.
  9. We were in 5234 on Celebration and heard nothing.
  10. Not Havana, Cove Balcony 5234, a favorite location. On Celebration again in January and Cove Balcony not available so doing OV on Deck 5 just in front of 5234.
  11. Yes it is, bar code upper right hand corner.
  12. Free Coffee - to right of JavaBlue, deck 6. We had a Cove Balcony on Deck 5 and for us was perfect location, very easy to “get to know” decks 6,7,8, easy access to so many venues.
  13. We had the light plastic ones on different ships about a year ago, husband now has a couple golf balls in his backpack that come along with him when we cruise.
  14. I do know you can go day by day.
  15. The Island is lovely, if you cannot walk it just stay on the Tram and circle the Island so you get an overall view.
  16. Lighthouse Beach does have some lounge chairs that are not padded. There are umbrellas but need to get off early to snag one, a few trees you could possibly sit under. The Tram can drop you off right at edge of Beach. Lighthouse Bar has three-seater/cushioned couches that you could put your legs up on and umbrellas that can be put up to shade you from the sun. The Tram will only drop you at pathway to Bar and you would have to walk a short distance.
  17. We are recently off the Celebration and had a Cabin on Deck 5. For us it was perfect location, very easy to orientate ourselves to Decks 6, 7, 8, so seldom had to use elevators for those decks. Same Deck in January for us. Check out any Interiors on Deck 5.
  18. MSC does not limit number of entrees you can order in dining room.
  19. If you realize this, and check in on App prior to bkft, brunch, etc., you will be ahead of the game. The first day on board at the dining room for breakfast there will be line up at the desk, people don’t realize or understand the check in thing. Once you check in you will get a reply telling you approximate time of wait, usually accurate, then eventually you will receive a table # and you get to go to the ‘head of the line,’ don’t wait behind everyone waiting for a table, show your table # to person at desk, we always wait in comfort on a couch outside of dining room. Hope this makes sense!
  20. 1) download app prior to boarding 2) once on ship put phone on Airplane Mode 3) Wi-Fi choices will come up, choose Carnival - there is no cost 4) app will show daily activities and menus etc., you can also checkin for bkft and brunch and dinner (if you have any-time dining) 5) app will also have your on-board account so you can keep an eye on that
  21. On Celebration Spa Cabins are on Deck 5, we were not in a Spa Balcony but were in a Cove Balcony on Deck 5 and loved location.
  22. We were on Seascape couple weeks ago, there were some bars open on ship, cannot remember exactly which ones, had beverage package so would definitely would have remembered if I could not use it, ha.
  23. We were cabin 5234, and in January doing an OV just ahead of it, as I said we loved location. Personally I wouldn’t hesitate to choose a spa cabin on deck 5. Hopefully though someone who has experienced one of these cabins can answer your question about noise.
