  1. Any new “fun times” or menu updates? Also did you feel buffet was expanded more, our was lacking in lunch meats at all, no basic salads and dressings, jellos - just premade ceasar. Plus they only used one side of buffet.
  2. Perhaps the gardens were not in season end Feb when we were there. I was looking fwd mosaic tile, and photo ops but passed on time. Not saying ian’t worth it, but with a rental golf cart and rate..choices had to be made.
  3. Thank you - was the assigned dining deck 4 sunrise? Back end Feb cruise we noted sewage smell port side as left lido to cabins there, and often by alchemy bar.
  4. I do not know regarding your arrival time, but can say- try and back into spot. When leaving cruise, it becomes near impossible to back up with cars gridlocked coming sown.
  5. Husband almost 95% from last weeks positive covid test and having to cancel Best medicine, I rebooked this cruise for Aug. Question- did they use both dining rooms now? our senior parents now joining us, and requested fixed early dining. Just wondering- assume Sunrise deck 4?
  6. Do you bring a non surge protected extension cord for fan then?
  7. Anyone driving & parking at Long Beach port? If yes, I suggest backing into a spot and try and get a downward ramp parking spot. It can become grid lock if you leave lot later in am after cruise and backing out really tough.
  8. Thank you. Have a wonderful time. At least we did this exact cruise Feb 28th but only had 1100 on board! So we will return in future. I did a review and posted our fun times etc if interested.Lease let me know if sea day brunch steak & eggs is still filet mignon, or they changed steak type. It was best meal all week. If anyone is doing the golf cart rental on Catalina, I attached our rental map. To save time, skip the left yellow that goes up to botanical gardens (unless want to pay admission and go see the grounds.) otherwise it is a “not interesting up and back section can skip imo) use your time more wisely taking the right fork that goes pack golf course. Stop-in its small building on right- it was home to original Chicago Cubs training way back. Skipping the left fork will save at least 20min.
  9. Well, had to cancel this Monday’s Radiance cruise. Total surprise when husband tested positive yesterday and was asymptomatic (and fully vaccinated, wears M95 masks). Even did another brand test and again positive. So sad. But got future cruise credit. Now he has fever, so glad we did have to test as not spread and he would be feeling bad. Enjoy I can cruise virtually with you at least. We were sailing for our Anniversary 37 years too. Will have to book a suite next time and go all out. So cabin 9230 is now open for Mon June 13 sailing.
  10. Please let me know evening ship temps in evening, I can see weather reports, but not ship climate at night if got chilly. Wondering about a jacket for around deck movie times, walking and i ndoor a/c temps.
  11. Following as getting on ship when you get off. Last sailed Radiance early March with 1100, so expecting actual lines this time and perhaps buffet and Guys Burgers to have hot food this time. Carnival posted they will add some of Italian Cucina menu items in MDR since it is closed for dinner (now but not lunch.) Can you comment on if every night the added Italian entree specials are the same, and what they are? Thanks.
  12. Thank hou. Do you kniw if they have a MDR kids menu? I recall pizza,pb& jelly, chicken nuggets, brownie, banana split etc.
  13. If I may, Best ever excursion taken on a cruise. We did same tour on Carnival end of July 2016, and was the only day of cruise it totally rained, sun rest of week. I waanted to post because wanted to let other cruisers know rain made for great Glacier Calving videos. So do not cancel if raining- just prepare and pack a raincoat and a chamois for camera. Saint Greg- really like clarity of your photos and colors. Following review. Thnx
  14. BEWARE The dryer in drawer was soso on drying my thinner and past shoulder length hair, BIG BUT the back vent started sucking my hair into it! Husband had to extract me from dryer! So now back to bringing my own. I just shopped at Goodwill for a decent light weight one, and will donate to cruise staff after.
  15. Carnival updated their menu a few years ago, and tweaked post covid with less options, no a la cartr. Generally all 4,5,7 day menus are the same fleetwide, but can vary in order based on ship itinerary. Example- Elegant night menus will be the same, but bight offered depends on itinerary. Embarkation Day One should stay the same fleetwide.
  16. Same here, worse we are sailing in two weeks and were really looking forward to the sea day brunch entree. Just sailed same ship 3mo ago and it was an amazing. entree item. My husband will be really bummed. (But if that is worst of my worries we are blessed.)
  17. We will be again sailing the Radiance two weeks after the OP is sailing. I am wondering if someone can confirm the sea day brunch filet (the steak & ggs entree)is till available (and only had a shortage for a bit?) or now removed from menu. So can you or someone post about availability on Sea Day brunch buffet filet available- it is the steak and eggs entree. Thank you…it is a highlite for my husband as best food item from MDR so far most cruises and was when sailed early March on Carnival Radiance?
  18. We sailed Radiance end Feb, and did find seahorse handles on glass doors (do not recall where mdr?) and I think did not change mural in wall area you see while in atrium glass elevators.
  19. These are from Carnival Radiance sailing Feb 28-March4. The last full cruise of mask requirements, and water temps were pool activity prohibitive, and vaccinated (mostly.) Passenger count approx. 1190. So may affect changes in future, perhaps our crruise was scaled back. Camp Ocean:
  20. We are in Ensenada, using my internet thru hot spot on my cell thru Verizon. Mexico no extra charge with Verizon. I will type more later have all menus and first two days fun times. #1- BRING A COOLER - see website of Carnival for size limit. The refrigerator in room is a glorified “cooler” but our cups of ice in it melted as a test. I would call it a bread box cube. There is only a vented fan, no longer has a condenser type. We brought three hydroflask bottles and put ice in them and asked attendant for an ice bucket. - the ice stations on lido best ones are the sides by iguana and guys. Lido Buffet one often slow or empty. Same goes for ice cream stations, the best one is a by stairs across from Bok Bok chicken (Shaq’s chicken.) It is less melty as gets less traffic. #2- 1100 passengers this week, they said a lot more next week. Walking around especially at night feels like last night of cruise, eerily quiet. #3 Embarkation security pretty lax. we carried our hydroflasks full of water and they took them and walked around handed back. I had put an empty plastic water bottle in outside to fill later, “no plastic on board miss …ok but missed one in bag already. I have always used Container store nalgeen travel bottles for liquids as never leak. I had a whole one of Dimetapp as moisture can cause me to cough. But others were full of “special” suntan creme from the Irish ☘️. I did wrap all cosmetics and items like that in a vacuum bag - just in case, and makes it annoying at security if have to open. None of bags were opened. Same with getting back on from Catalina- just handed hydroflasks back. #4 Ensenada today just announced to get off & on need Gov ID, Carnival room key & VACCINATION CARD. I happen to find for $1.50 a vinyl holder meant for vax card at Walgreens at register. Can attach vinyl holder to lanyard if wish. I am just zipping all mine in for security in bag as have seen lanyards on cruises in wind flip off people. Going to breakfast now- will post later, or look for any questions here. Menus from first day:
