  1. Seems to me that there are contradictions in Azamara's communication. I don't think there are complimentary tests!
  2. In the past, before COVID, I have extended FCC's to 2 years.
  3. I haven't, but then I wasn't on this cruise!
  4. Clarity is needed. It would be much, much better if Azamara were to leave no doubt in anyone's mind. If the boarding rules differ from those of the ports-of-call, points of embarkation or disembarkation, this should be clearly defined. Maybe Azamara think it is sufficient to include an Azamara requirement under 'boarding', but perhaps this needs amplification by a phrase such as 'irrespective of any country-specific requirements' Perhaps, in some way, these boards serve to muddy the waters and introduce doubts. Personally, I will try to test before boarding, in whichever country I board. If I cannot obtain a local test, then I'll pay the fee that Azamara impose. And if boarding is declined, I accept that this is for the greater good. If I am permitted to board, I have multiple self-test kits to ensure that if I do test positive, I can isolate myself and report this. Thereby I hope not to be a hazard to others.
  5. There are other routes to the service core. All I can tell you is that [at the risk of being sniped-at], following (assertive) complaints, the door was taped shut. I saw the tape, and can assure you that the door was no longer used.
  6. Occupants of a suite neighbouring ours experienced the same problem and complained (assertively). The offending door was taped shut to prevent use.
  7. Thanks, but that didn't work for me. I successfully followed Grandma Cruising's instructions.
  8. Although it isn't obvious that 'BOOKED' is a link, I clicked on it, and miles down the page found the section on 'Meet and Mingle' [FIND OUT MORE], and was able to register. Many thanks. (Hope you are both well!)
  9. Puzzled. Am I right in thinking that 'the Registration part' to which you refer is on the Azamara Web site? Again, is the search via the Azamara Web site? Whilst this may seem obvious to you, it isn't obvious to me. DUHHHH! If the registration is via the Azamara Web site, would I be right in thinking this option is only available once check-in is available? If not, would you please be so kind as to provide detailed instructions on how to access the relevant parts of Azamara's Web site?
  10. Zilch. Nada. Niente. Nothing. Zero. Nil. Nulla. £0.00. $0.00. €0,00. AFAIK. We always take CC suite and have never paid for stuff out of the minibar (other than, of course, the cost if the cruise).
  11. Whilst not disputing or doubting what you say, this may not necessarily be the case for each ship, or indeed, at any time in the future. Plus what you have said about the nurse doesn't seem very clear to me. Perhaps you could elucidate?
  12. But beware. Azamara states (I don't recall where) that 'Self-tests' and 'at-home'** tests are not acceptable. I actually considered presenting the Azamara persons responsible for testing etc. at embarkation with a self-test kit and asking them to administer it, or at the very least watch me do it. Maybe a question of accuracy of the self-test kit would make this unacceptable. ** I am not sure what Azamara mean by this.
  13. If you do add this to the cabin info, please report my experience (i.e. complaint produced a solution)
  14. I saw this too, but I believe it conflicts with other information issued by Azamara, and is another example if their lack of joined-up thinking and communication.
  15. We were in a CC suite a few years back, and our neighbour encountered the same problem of noise from the service door. He complained, and staff were banned from using this door. It was taped shut!
  16. All very well, but so far there are no posts providing an answer!
  17. I expect that Azamara knows. (I think that the word 'anyone' includes Azamara)
  18. I think that this will be available in the fullness of time. I suggest you visit your online account from time-to-time.
  19. I don't possess either a jacket, suit or a tie, so I cannot pack either. If you feel comfortable wearing either/both, but it is not necessary. I agree, in speciality dining, long trousers are a must. We have never eaten in the main dining room, so I am unable to comment on dress code there.
  20. Things are very informal. I don't have a jacket, or a tie, for that matter. Smart casual will do at dinner. I'd be interested to learn how you know that you have one night's speciality dining?
  21. Because Azamara don't seem to have got their act together, is it possible, even likely, that the protocols vary ship-by-ship? In that case input for all of the fleet would be invaluable!
  22. I see your difficulty. It may depend on which airport at which you arrive in Italy. For example, although I do not have the latest information, when we flew out of Malpensa (Milano) to the USA just over a month ago, there were formalised tests available at many pharmacies in the city, and expensive tests at Malpensa itself (in the directly adjacent Sheraton Hotel). In fact, we were able to test at a pharmacy only 40 metres distant from our hotel on Piazza Oberdan!
  23. More importantly, if you do not take a test soon before you travel, but test positive on or around embarkation, you will almost certainly have made other people ill!
