    Tote bags

Cannot change moment on Quest, but we're on Journey now, and we have been given tote bags.
  2. Maybe the noise in this suite on Pursuit differs from that on Journey.
  3. This is the first occasion that noise has been sufficient for me to register a comment, irrespective of flexibility, wind or wave.
  4. I am extremely sensitive to noise. And, of course, the evaluation of acceptability of noise is subjective.
  5. Agreed, the location is good. We've had both 8056 and 8066 in the past and not been bothered by the low rumble.
  6. I think so too, hence my reference to exhaust. The noise is not excessively intrusive, but is clearly audible in the shower room. I would prefer a suite either two or three further forward or aft of 8060, so as to moderate the constant drone.
  7. Cabin Number 8060 Ship Journey Month/Year sailed April 2024 Would you choose this room again N Is noise an issue Y This a noisy part of the ship. There is exhaust or some kind of mechanical plant causing vibration and continuous low rumbling noise across the corridor from this suite. The aircon was turned up to create additional masking white noise.
  8. It's a future cruise, so I am unable give you any insight.
  9. I used the approximate figure that quoted in a post in this thread. The OP is silent as to how much they paid. Being somewhat Macchiavellian, if I were to find an astonishingly low price for a cruise, I would be inclined to pay in full immediately on the basis that this 'seals the deal' and makes it difficult for the cruise line to wriggle out of it. And, of course, because months elapse without any attempt by the cruise line to renege on the deal, I might assume that it would be safe for me to make reservations gir flights, hotels etc.
  10. But, I believe that there was specific reference to a suite.
  11. You are correct, there is an extra zero! I think the reality of the situation is 'If it seems too good to be true - it is.' Of course, it is very easy to claim ignorance of pricing, but to me it seems highly unlikely that anyone buying a cruise will not have done some research, and will, therefore, be aware of the approximate average pricing. And, caveat emptor.
  12. Clearly an error. A CC suite would cost, roughly, about $12000 a day, for two guests, in my experience. I think anyone who books at $1266 for 7 days should not expect that price to be honoured, whether it be in the short-term or even months later.
  13. It seems to me that there is something strange about this. Until the OP enlightens us we don't know for sure through whom the booking was made. Absence of responses and information always leaves me wondering what else we should know about the booking(s).
  14. And I asked the same question right at the top of this topic, but this and two other potentially relevant questions remain unanswered. Ine tries to offer assistance, rather than platitudes, but to no avail!
  15. Did you book the cruise direct or through a TA? Did you pay for the cruise with a Credit Card? Why did you pay the full amount so far in advance?
  16. AKAIK they has not.
  17. Where did you read this? AFAIK the ship will be berthed in the city. See https://www.whatsinport.com com/Ho-Chi-Minh-City.htm for more information. Does your itinerary nerary refer to Phú My, or Ho Chi Minh City or both? If Phú My is not specified or included, then I think it is safe to assume the ship will be berthed in he city.
  18. Anarchy! BTW what do you regard as prime-time specialty restaurants slots?
  19. Indeed. We divide our efforts. On boarding, Steph waits patiently in room, whole I go to secure our preferred slots for Specialty Dining. We find, unless that you are guests of a crew member, MDR offerings and service are not as good as in the Specialty restaurants.
  20. On a 25-day cruise, IMHO, any package makes sense, but the value varies with your needs/preferences and which accommodation you occupy onboard.
  21. But, according to another contemporaneous thread, it would seem that not all the ships are charging the higher price for specialty dining - yet. Our next three cruises are on Journey (April/May); Pursuit (August); and Onward (November).
  22. The disadvantage of a later boarding is that onevs preferred 'slots' for Specialty dining might not be available! Swings and roundabouts.
  23. Sounds like a plan. But... My wife gets stressed on these days. She likes to get on board and unpack. The wait for our larger case to be delivered to our suite stresses her further! We have experienced a 90-minute wait. So, is a later embarkation doubly-beneficial because your luggage is delivered to you sooner after you board?
