  1. Will be interesting to see how this develops. I’m also cruising from the U.K. later this summer and will be a bit crap if the whole first day and last day you can’t use your drinks package for alcoholic drinks. I don’t drink much but like a cocktail on a cruise and basically the whole last day would be out as in Portland from about 1pm to 8pm last night (it then only goes to Southampton so will it even leave U.K. waters? 🤷‍♂️), also the first night don’t leave UK till after 5, but as some have said you don’t get out past Isle of Wight etc till maybe 8-9pm ? So both first and last day basically no alcoholic drinks?
  2. OK thanks. It appears that my booking is still showing 2 x FAS dining (what I got for a >14 day ocean view cabin), whereas I would expect 3 now for a Balcony or above. Seems I will need to speak to them to check. 👍
  3. I am aware that those upgrading via upgrade advantage bidding do not get any extra perks. But I am still over a 100 days out and have just got my TA to change me from an Ocean View to a Club Balcony. As balcony gets an extra Specialty dining on on Free At Sea, should I get the extra dining in this situation?
  4. Chances are as they is no cost to book, only half the people will turn up, so worth going by and they’ve been letting people queue on standby. they really need to stop allowing unlimited booking for the small venues like this as people just book speculatively and then don’t care if they decide not to go.
  5. it’s kind of a mix of mainstream/pop from the various eras.
  6. This mostly happens with U.K. cruises (and similarly none of the “resort fee” ridiculousness”) in hotels. No extra to pay added to the bill, no expectation, no gratuities added to drinks or speciality dining…. So much better! The price is the price., no having to investigate the rates or pay a variable amount that is stress inducing etc. I went on a short 4 day cruise last year and paid less than the pre paid gratuities on my next NCL cruise. (And that had gratuities included! 😊)
  7. If you pre book dinner on celebrity, do you pay up front and if so, do they take the gratuities when you pay before?
  8. probably came across negative so sorry if upset anyone, but I’d just booked with them for later in the year and thought the shore credit would be a valuable extra. when I then checked a few I was quite shocked at the prices for the tours they had showing for our cruise. So that was more a reactionary post, which I know is never a good idea! 🤦‍♂️
  9. From what I’ve seen the prices are laughable, if you take the $50 off, the prices are still twice what you could get elsewhere, and still more expensive than other cruise lines. just a total con IMO, makes me remember why I haven’t sailed on NCL for several years.
  10. doesn’t seem like much of the prices (if any) have changed on the cocktails then?
  11. Ok so based on above, looking at those moving from included in Princess Plus to now without I see, Gloria Ferrer Sparkling ($12-$14) Val Llach Emroix ($11-$14) Domaine Falveley Montagny ($11-$13) Whispering Angel Rose ($11-14)
  12. We will know very soon I guess if there will be big changes or hopefully just storm in a teacup 😊 Im on Enchanted on Friday, and Sky will go on Saturday, so I’m sure we will get feedback if anything major has changed very quickly.
  13. Of course it’s not going to catch all situations, but it will capture those in the period before that, so you can’t really ignore the risk mitigation that gives. Despite it obviously not being foolproof. 😊
  14. technically I think you’d fail the health assessment due to the sore throat and runny nose?
  15. It’s seemed they have changed the system from last summer. Last year there was a restriction on ordering one and if you ordered 2 (in medallion app) people were charged for the second. I guess they had so much negative feedback about how inconvenient it was, they have now allowed people to order two.
